Been wanting to check this place out. Walked in and first thing is the hip décor. Cool wall murals and sneaks displayed right!!! Had some really cool independent Warriors tees and local graphics. Hip, and selection was good. Found a pair a kicks and found the $$ was really reasonable. Great service the guy there made sure I was taken care of. I went to check out and one of the managers say you get 23% off. Really? Winning! I really like little shops like this and I love supporting them. Thanks Solespace you are the sh*t!!! Go Dubs and make it Reign!

I coordinated an album release mixer for Bay Area artist Rexx Life Raj. SoleSpace was a ram in the bush. I couldn’t find a venue that had everything the artist wanted within the budget. Late one night in my search for venues I found SOLESPACE. SoleSpace doubles as an art gallery and a shoe store. I loved the art, lighting, big windows and hard wood floors. It was such a great location on Telegraph in Oakland’s bustling Uptown. The venue had the right amount of space for the guest, beverage table, merchandise table, DJ booth, and the caterer. I also needed an area and equipment to première the first single of the album«Sincerely Annie». SOLESPACEHADEVERYTHING. We arrived the day of for set up. Jeff and Nico were there to assist with questions and set up. And they did it with a smile. Planning an event can be extremely stressful with all last minute details and mishaps but Jeff and Nico made the entire process very smooth. When our projector failed Jeff and Nico both immediately tried to figure out the best way to rectify the situation. I thought we would not be able to première the video(which was essential to the album release). Jeff realized how important this was to the artist and did everything to make it happen. We were able to première the video!!! The album release was a total success. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the artist was pleased with the turn out. Thank you so much Jeff and Nico. SOLESPACE I WILLALWAYSLOVEYOU!!! And I will be back to shop I saw several pairs of shoes I need in my life.

Jeff has an inviting space with all different kinds of specialty shoes, boots, heals and comfort sport shoes. The classics are always there too… Asics, Saucony, Puma, Adidas… Jeff knows his HipHop style, especially being from the East Coast.

I have always loved this store. From the shoes I have bought from here to the great community events that I have attended, or participated in. You guys are always in style with what you carry. Its great to see you expand to your second location. Thank you Jeff!

There isnt much to write about the place. The shoes are supper fly and unique. I would say its like a shoe boutique as i have not seen some of these shoes in other shoe stores. The prices are fairly expensive for my taste but on this particular night they had a 50% off sale. The interior f the store is always clean and the staff are super hip and friendly. Its worth a gander.

I cannot speak highly enough about the customer service at SoleSpace. I bought a beautiful pair of leather J. Shoes from the SoleSpace storefront in Oakland and about 12 weeks later a delicate part of the shoe started to come apart. I called SoleSpace to ask them what my options were as far as getting them repaired and they were super friendly and understanding. I really loved these shoes but I felt like they should last for at least a couple of years before falling apart. SoleSpace agreed. Jeff asked me to send a photo of the damage or bring them into the store so he could take a look. After seeing the photos he immediately contacted the J. Shoes headquarters and told them my predicament. The company agreed to send them a brand new pair at no extra charge, to which news I was pleasantly surprised. Jeff was nice enough to even ship them to my San Francisco address(which only cost me $ 16) to save me a trip to the east bay. SoleSpace has a great selection and an awesome staff. I will definitely be stopping by the next time I’m in the area!

My husband and I held a private event at SoleSpace with family and friends and it was the perfect venue! Jeff made it so easy to coordinate and made sure the space was setup for our needs, with chairs, tables and a projector. The space is so versatile and fun because you are surrounded by beautiful art and shoes shoes shoes(of course we had to buy a couple pairs)! We are already looking for a reason to rent out SoleSpace for another event.

Decent selection for me(I wear size 13 – 14) for a store of its size. Good aesthetics in the store. nice variety of shoes in general Way over priced, I bought a pair fred perry’s here for $ 70 that were regularly priced at $ 90. I got the $ 20 off because of a check in discount on Unilocal They are listed on the Fred Perry site as only $ 75 So I would have expected them to be cheaper. The staff also does not seem as focused on selling the shoes as they do with taking art off the wall and presenting it as an event space. I waited for 10 minutes before I was helped.

SoleSpace is a game changer. Jeff curates the collection carefully to ensure that the shoes offered are unique and beautiful. I recently purchased a pair of Fluevogs and a pair of Fidjis. They are my new favorites and I have received so many compliments. If you’re looking to stand out from the crowd, go to SoleSpace!

I recently was a part of an art show at Solespace. Jeff made all of us artists feel right at home! He often has shows with a social justice theme. On top of this great space he offers with many talented artists, he sells high quality shoes. After the show was through I picked up a pair of shoes that have now become my favorite to wear!

I went here earlier this week because I had a LivingSocial deal that was about to expire. When I arrived, Jeff the owner had stepped out for a bit, but there were other people there installing some artwork. While they were not very knowledgable about the shoes, they were very friendly and made me and others feel welcome, and when Jeff returned, he was extremely helpful. While the place has a trendy/hip vibe, it also has an old school one – Jeff’s little kid was with him at the store, and the place definitely had the feel of something family run. I ended up with a pair of very comfy red pumps at a decent price(not cheap at all, but fair for high quality shoes). They have so many sales, that the coupon was unnecessary for the most part. I am likely to return to the store, but unlikely to buy a LivingSocial voucher again, since the store seems to have sales a couple times a month.

Back before the Dawn of Man, I sold European shoes in a fancy boutique in North Berkeley. It spoiled me, those years of the best quality for a great employee discount. Fast forward about two decades to 2012, and times have changed. Good shoes are rare, and more expensive than ever. A friend introduced me to the SoleSpace store and… bingo! Shoes I love, for a price I can afford. With sweet staff, in a convenient and colorful location. At this point, I’ve bought shoes multiple times for EVERY member of our family, from sneaker kicks to snazzy heels. *Tip: Find SoleSpace on FB to take advantage of their frequent and deeply discounted sale prices.

Solespace is an amazing shoe store to grab some unique kicks. Solespace introduced me to my current favorite shoe brand, Bucketfeet. They’re artist designed shoes and are immediate conversation starters when I wear them. I’ve also picked up MVMT, Sawa shoes. I’ve been happy with all of the shoes I’ve bought and the store’s owner, Jeff, is super knowledgeable and willing to help you pick a pair of shoes that match your style. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook as there’s usually some good deals.

Sole Space has got it goin’ on. Beautiful, unique, one-of-a-kind shoes, accessories, and clothes. Amazing art shows that change often. Really nice, helpful staff. Also, if you add them on facebook, they post sales which help make the shoes more affordable for this non-profit working girl.

There are few businesses that exist to build community through lectures, workshops, and art. This is the type of business Oakland needs and has become part of what is great about Oakland. Also, I’ve received compliments galore on the platforms, vegan sneakers, and boots I’ve bought there. You can update your shoe collection while supporting a great space.(Guilt-free shopping ;))

GORGEOUS selection of shoes — from Miz Mooz to John Fluevogs to Pumas for all manner of lady and gent. And not only are the shoes eye and heart candy galore, but the ART is also where it’s at. My guy and I had a chance to vend edible treats here for a variety show and we were blown away by how SoleSpace owner Jeff showcases Bay Area talent by making it a part of his shop and ethos — artwork hangs upon the walls and mural-like works make a backdrop unlike any other shoe store I’ve stepped foot in — making this a destination not only for shoes, but also for design, culture and art. And every few months or so, the Go! Ohana variety show features Asian American Bay Area talent, from poets to musicians to dancers — in this space. And let me tell you, it is a universally enriching and gorgeous experience. Very cool, can’t wait to buy my first pair of Fluevogs from here…
