Tamales el tio santos had a small line at the moraga farmers market so i got into it. this was the only food stand that had a line. technically, i don’t think the food here is mexican. they also have salvadorean tamales and pupusas(2.50). locales: farmers market(orinda, lafayette, moraga, martinez) menu: pupusa and tamles(10ish choices) pricing: pupusa(2.50) tamales 3.00-eat there, 2.50-to go sampling: –beef tamale: really soft fresh masa with tender mashed beef inside –chicken green tamale: soft masa with fresh chucks of tender chicken. green salsa given on the side. foodnotes: –tamale kind of bland but they put sour cream and /or salsa on the tamales for eat there orders. –recommend the red or green chicken tamale, salsa is nice. –one amigo did it all. fast, efficient, and courteous –ate the tamale like the chinese kind, roll down the leaves, add salsa, with the chinese kind, add soy sauce.
