I finally got to try KitchenMac! I had been really«underwhelmed» by the Bay Café that was here before, so I was excited to have a new restaurant in my neighborhood. From their name, I thought it was going to be a Mac & Cheese place, but upon viewing the menu, I gather the name is after the street«MacArthur.» The staff at the window was super-friendly and patient with my questions. The place was very clean. I got the«veggie beast» with cheese, the bacon and cheese«stacked fries», the«chicken fried chicken» sandwich, and an orange juice. It all came to an even $ 25. Everything was freshly prepared and of good quality. The veggie patty itself was crispy perfection: not dry or crumbly and still crunchy-crisp on the outside! The bun was delicious and well-suited too, but my only complaint was that it – and the cheese – was cold. It didn’t stop me from gobbling it up! The cheese fries – whoa! Good amount for sharing! Can’t go wrong with crispy, tasty bacon on top. I’d suggest opening the box so the steam can vent out and not make the fries soggy if you are driving them somewhere. My friend loved the triple-fried chicken! Such a convenient local spot, right by the transbay bus stop! I’ll definitely be back for grab-and-go breakfast(served all day) or lunch on my way to work.
