Tony knows how to treat customers with respect. Good communicator, polite, and personable. He bent over backwards to fix an old car of mine and did some routine maintenance on another. After dealing with some crappy, dishonest, loser contractors for my home, dealing with Tony showed me there are still good people in the service industry.

When you move to a new area, one of the toughest things to do is find a good mechanic that you can trust to work on your vehicles. A co-​worker recommended TMS since they take their work vehicles there for service. Tony didn’t disappoint. He has always been reasonable and fair. Even if I questioned the type of repair or the cost, Tony worked with me so he could keep my business. That’s a really tough thing to find anymore.

We highly recommend TMS! During the holidays, they took good care of our 2003 Lexus when a safety light went out. It was especially helpful during the Thanksgiving week when we had extra driving trips scheduled and needed to have all the safety features working!

My VW is 13 years old and over the last couple of years has started to shut down in different ways despite the low mileage. I had been taking it to the dealer for routine maintenance but once real problems started to surface, the dealer charged extremely high fees and in all cases did not fix my issues. I decided to go to TMS Auto because it was closer to home and got great reviews. I have received the best service the two times I had to bring my car in this year. I appreciate that Tony took the time to explain the problems, answered a lot of my questions and set up a ride from my work back to the shop. Everyone who works there is pleasant and friendly. I have felt ripped off in the past which is a terrible feeling. I have one car and need it to carpool kids to school as well as get to work. I have been taking my personal and business vehicles to TMS «Tony Lee» for the last 20 years. He has been able to solve the most difficult problems mechanical or electrical across all makes Japanese, Domestic, and European models that I have owned. He has always come through to get them all working like new! His rates compared to the dealerships are considered a bargain and he treats my vehicles as if they were his own. They have taken care of my family’s autos for the last 10 years and have always been honest on what they can or cannot do. I do not write reviews often, but it is finally the time for me to do it. It should have been done years earlier (Sorry, Tony). I have been taking my car (s) to his shop probably since 2004. He has always done things on time and well. Service was excellent. Only one time they made a mistake and did not catch a problem, they apologized and accepted responsibility. Tony has always worked with me and my budget. He tried to fit me in, if at all possible-​, on the day I needed. He clearly stated what needed to be done, and what could wait a little bit longer. There were never any gimmicks or double-​talk. He offered straightforward answers and there was never a hidden agenda with him and his team. Now, after I have moved away, I am still «keeping» Tony and his shop as my car mechanics. I am willing to drive a bit to get their services. I can count on Tony and I recommend him and his crew without ANY reservations.

I have known and worked with TONY, Francisco, Rodell, and staff, for over 15 years. They fixed all my cars. From a supercharged suburban, to porsche, to honda minivan, to my VW diesels. They are nice, honest, trustworthy, and professional. Tony even worked on my one of a kind, Granatelli Twin turbo 1047 horsepower Z06 corvette… That is how much I trust him. The facility is large, clean and plenty of parking.

My car would not start and Tony offered to come by my work to check the battery. We found out it was not the battery. He got me in touch with a tow truck company that was very reasonable. He was able to fix the problem and not over charge me. Needless to say the service with Tony has been outstanding. I have to say this is a white glove service which I’ve never experienced with any automotive shop in my life. If you’re in the customer service industry like I am then you know what I mean. I will be bringing my car to him whenever I need something done.

I am sad to write this review. I have been taking my car here for 3 years. I was just remarking to myself how I had never been taken advantage of here. Well that ended today. I was overcharged immensely for an oil change and spark plugs. $ 165.00 for both! Not to mention the initial estimate which I did agree to was 50 dollars less.
I’m so disappointed, I think Tony has gotten greedy since purchasing the business. I have always had such good service there. At first he said he didn’t think he could change the spark plugs in time. Then, he suddenly had time to order and install them. I was there for a little over an hour and he charged me over 100.00 for spark plugs! The oil change is generally 40.00, so that was 140.00 for spark plugs and to install. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Also I don’t have proof, but after the last oil change, a light came on and of course it was never on before. He stated some censor was off. It’s been on ever since and he said it would be over 100.00 to fix. WOW. Can’t believe it. So bummed. I removed my previous review that had him at 5 stars.
I did receive a call from this business and he offered to make it right. I ended up with a refund of 75.00. But trust in a car guy is hard to come by.

I am always blown away by the care and service we get every time we bring our vehicles in. Tony is very understanding and honest and you can trust him and his employees. He would rather have you come back again than make a lot of money of you.

I needed an alignment and brakes done but didn’t want to spend an outrageous amount. Tony was able to work with me and get me in the same day. They were very professional and even offered me a ride home and back when my car was done. Tony kept me updated via text which was very convenient. He even threw in some windshield blades after seeing that they needed replacing. I will definitely be coming here from now on.

Tony is a great guy, super friendly. Twice now he’s gotten me in last minute and gotten the work done fast.

As a woman, I have been nervous about car mechanics, and have paid a «gender tax», when getting repairs.
I was told my shocks were worn, and took my car to Tony.
He took a test ride, and told me they had more life in them, and it was an expensive repair that I did NOT need at this time. Any other mechanic would have taken my money without a qualm.

This review is long overdue… Tony was referred to me by a friend who highly recommended him for his personal, honest service and unusually accommodating protocol of picking up and delivering customers’ cars. I was not disappointed. Tony carried me through the last 2 years of life with my 96 BMW with the sense that I could rely on him for affordable repairs and honest advice that served me as opposed to brought him business. This is a tall order as far as I’m concerned, and, as a struggling single mom and teacher, I needed a mechanic I could truly count on. Tony was this and more! After the first repair and assessment, Tony presented me with a long, detailed list of all the things in need of repair in order of priority, and, unlikely as it sounds, advised me to do as little as possible given the make and age of my car and my financial situation. When my car’s cooling system began to fail, Tony implored me to buy a new car and practically refused to fix it since he thought it would be a waste. Yes, Tony is that kind of guy. He’d rather turn business away than rip you off. Luckily, for me, I was given the chance to buy a new vehicle, and Tony saw me through this process with emergency weekend text messages advising me on how not to get ripped off at a dealership, etc. He also helped me price my BMW when I wanted to sell it and offered helpful advise at a moment’s notice when someone wanted to manipulate me into selling it below market value.
Tony is the kind of mechanic who is always a phone call or text message away and who can be relied on for solid, honest service. I think he’s too busy these days for door-​to-​door pick up and delivery, and that’s a good thing: hardworking, honest guys like Tony deserve to busy! Highly recommended.
