Well, I’ve been back many times now and am very pleased with the quality of the food and think it’s a great value. Service is always very good. The phở is fabulous! I agree with one reviewer that it would be nice to have more vegetarian options– I would definitely go more often!

Went for the first time a month ago and it was alright. Food didn’t stand out but was perfect for if you wanted phở. There was a girl that was training so service wasn’t great but understandably so. The manager or owner was there to compensate and he seemed very accommodating. Great local spot.

Pretty yummy food. I would give it more stars if it had more vegetarian options. Good portions. Nice employees.

Just horrible. Some people just eat anything these days. Ordered the combination phở. And the water taste like metal. 2nd worst phở location. I’ve been

I liked this restaurant. Visited couple times, it’s inexpensive and fair. However, today I ordered the beef noodle soup to go and guess what, when I went home and get ready to eat, I found out there was non a single slice of beef. WTF!!! I was so mad because the whole point of the beef noodle soup is the beef, and they forgot it? How can they make this kind of mistake? I don’t even want to eat the noodle soup because it wont taste good at all. I called them and expressed my frustration. They said they were sorry that sometimes there were a lot orders and the kitchen made the mistake. They weren’t even busy at all. It was 4pm. There were only one or two customers. It really sucks.

DON’T EATHERE! The kitchen and food prep practices are dirty and unsafe. Wanted a bowl of Phở, Unilocal showed this place as being right the corner from where I was at the time. Thank God I asked to use the restroom to wash my hands before sitting down to order. The walk to the restroom takes you through the kitchen and down a hallway. This place is filthy! First the bathroom doubles as a storage area, shelves of disorganized crap including a totally rusty and ill cared for wok. Below the shelving unit sat a whole row of boxes, something they order in mass quantity, still in their boxes, problem is each and every box was soaked through with brown water, obviously for one or more massive toilet over flows, scared to think what was in boxes(no English print on them) noodles? Takeout containers? Who knows, but trust me you wouldn’t want whatever is in them to be part of your dining experience. Next the kitchen, so scary! Two women, one working at a stainless steal counter, the other sitting on the floor with a tray sitting on a crate under a side sink. On the floor with her was a bowl with a mixture she was using to fill wraps(my guess is spring or other type of rolls) then she would pile the filled wraps on the tray, but the crate and tray were up against a wall, a very dirty dusty, greasy, dirt covered wall, and as she piled the wraps up on the tray one side of each wrap was placed up against and touching this disgusting wall. I could not believe I saw food being prepared on the floor and rested on dirty and grime. So nasty! Time to call the health inspector.

We basically just got $ 17 stolen from us for going here. What a horrible mistake! We thought ok let’s try it out. Should have gone to Phở Ao Sen in the first place. I wanted some phở because I’ve been coughing so much. I had a weird feeling when I sat down just observing some of the dirtiness. I’m all for hole in the walls but I do draw the line with bugs in my food. I saw this in my phở and immediately was turned off obviously. The waitress was apologetic and told the cook who was questioning what kind of bug it was. The waitress brought her the bug for examination. The waitress came back saying it wasn’t a bug but was from a mussel? I asked why that would be in my phở. She said it must have just fell in. Uhhhh ok. I didn’t want my phở and I didn’t want another phở either. Hubby got the hu tieu and asked for them to pack it to go. Supposedly this is where the mussel came into play. The bill comes and they charge us for both soups. We don’t take anything with us. What a freaking rip off. Rule Number 1 in customer service = Don’t dispute that it isn’t a bug! And don’t charge the customer! Whatever it is… It’s nasty! There should be a Zero Star option!

I got some glass in my phở. not sure how it got there but it was upsetting. i didn’t call the restaurant because i didn’t have time. however, the soups had really wonderful flavor and the fresh rolls were very tasty. I would probably try it again even with the experience.

Love this place. This is a no frills dining experience. Very family oriented. The soups are the best of the bunch. Sandwiches are crispy and flavorful. I have yet to have a bad experience at this place. If you want good Vietnamese food this place is a bargain.

Everything about this place is excellent, the staff is friendly, the food is fresh, and the prices are some of the cheapest you will find in this area. I’ve tried a variety of the items on their menu, but always seem to keep coming back for the fresh Banh Mi sandwiches. There are at least 10 sandwiches to choose from with most costing less than $ 4 each. Each sandwich comes packed with veggies and your choice of meat and served on a warm house made dutch baguette, doesn’t get any better than that: p

Really friendly service! Had the beef phở and grilled chicken with rice. Both were 4⁄5. Nothing mind blowing but were both pretty good! Don’t really recommend for dining in if you’re looking for a place with ambience though

Great, inexpensive food! The host, a 19 year old son of the owners, is at home with running the dining room like no other teen. Service was excellent! No doubt we will return again.

Meh, everything was just meh. The food was bland and you can tell it is just reheated, I don’t think this place makes fresh. I don’t like the taste of the chicken, it was dark meat too. Yuck. Wish I could get my money back. Won’t come here again nor recommend to friends. I’m sure there are other places in the area that are ten times better. The service wasn’t genuine either. Just an inconvenience stop for myself and my wife.

Fast update, but tried their Bahn Mi today and it’s top notch for the $ 3.75 grilled pork. Super fresh baguette. Not a super amount of meat, but just enough and great flavor, fresh veggies. Made perfectly. Nice to see they are good at both the fancier dinner serving and the cheap quick launch item. Not as fast as other high-volume places, but the benefit is you get your meat fresh.

This place was great! The restaurant was bright and open feeling, and very clean. You walk through the kitchen on the way to the bathroom and everything was very clean and orderly. I’ve had better broth, but not for the price of $ 6 – 7 per bowl. The egg rolls were great too. The portions were heavy despite what the price may suggest. Totally happy with this neighborhood location and will definitely return.

I love these guys! They are always super friendly to my husband and me when either dining in or getting take out. They get 5 stars because we can walk there, and our little neighborhood can use more places like this and less like the mcdonalds and other cheap fast food places around here. The portions are good, the phở is tasty, the vermicelli dishes have all been good when I got them, and although I try not to eat much bread anymore — I’ve had a taste of their bahn mi and it was spot on(I think I tried the pork).

I was running an errand in the area and spotted Tu Tai 3. I’d enjoyed a bowl of phở at TT2 in Alameda so decided to give their newest spot a try. Menu splits the difference between #1’s ~50 items and #2’s ~200 items. I was curious to try the Phở Nuong with grilled meats, but decided to go with my usual Phở Dac Biet, no cilantro, rare steak on the side to get a better baseline. It comes in a large bowl and it was hard to tell if there was anything other than beef balls, broth, and scallions( ). Unfortunately there was cilantro both in the soup bowl, but also scattered on top of the rare steak( ). These were finely chopped bits so a pain to fish out and left delightful soapy flavors behind because of how long I was fishing around. Anyway, the condiment plate pictured before with the rare steak had fresh basil and sprouts with a lime wedge and jalapeño slices. The steak also had white and green onions and another lime wedge. The broth was beefy and nicely spiced. Some MSG from the cotton tongue I got through the meal. The noodles were in a tight clump that I wrestled with to separate. I hate fighting clumpy noodles :(though they were a good al dente doneness. The rare steak came with 6 small and thin slices(which cooked tender and flavorful) and aside from a decent amount of tendon(cut into thin circles) and beef balls in the soup the rest of the proteins were lacking. One and a half pieces of fatty flank and one piece of tripe. Skimp-o-rama! I finished the bowl with an abundance of broth to spare( ). I was thinking of getting a banh mi to go, but the ~$ 5 price was too much after my average phở experience.
