Incredibly healthy, great tasting, not watered down, and always fresh. The service here is great and the people working the counter are friendly and always in a good mood. Try anything there — I dare you. You will not be disappointed

Very tasty juices and snacks conveniently located on Broadway! What I love the most about Uptown is how involved they are with the community, hosting pop-up dining events, etc. Make sure to ask when their next event will take place and try the Turmeric smoothie, it’s delicious!

I can’t believe I just paid $ 26 for two jars of juice. I feel embarrassed. In response to my shock with she rang me up, the clerk said I would get $ 2 per jar back if I brought it back and bought more juice. But $ 11 for juice is also ridiculously high. I can’t afford that. This is Oakland!!!

I love juice bars and want to really like this place but a bit torn. The staff is super friendly and I believe the smoothies are at a good price. The Jenny from the block smoothie was really good! However, the juices range to $ 13 due to having a glass bottle. I believe they have some type of program where they recycle bottles, but for someone like myself that travels or is always on the run, the last thing I want to do is remember to carry around an empty glass bottle in hopes of bringing it back. I might be back for a smoothie but I will get my juice elsewhere.

I stopped into Uptown Juice on a random afternoon and I was greeted at the counter, which is always a good sign. The place is very clean and well designed, not a ton of seating space but enough if you really wanted to stop and eat/read/chill. Overall the service is excellent! While waiting, I got to try a free sample of a new smoothie and when my order was accidentally mixed up, I got another corrected smoothie for free! The folks who work here are super friendly and chill. I’ll definitely make this my juice staple for the summer.

The juices here are outstanding. Today I tried the avocado toast this morning, pretty steep for $ 8 but let me tell you, it was delicious. I’ll spend $ 8 again for avocado and you will too. The staff is amazing as well. So basically this place is kinda like the bomb so go there, you won’t be disappointed. Cheerio!

Came here after doing a photo shoot in Oakland, and so glad I stopped in. The woman at the counter and I chatted about yoga since she saw me carrying my bag and asked if I taught. When I told her I taught yin, she smiled and said, «Yeah. It’s all about the feminine energy.» * Good vibes. * She recommended: GIN-ger and Juice: carrot, orange, pineapple, ginger and lemon. It was Delicious. Everything is cold-pressed and organic. They have great combinations: creative, but still yummy, with a little twist. Not your usual apple, beet, carrot deal here. I sampled a Burdock juice that I loved, and a chocolate almond one that tasted too good to be good for you. I get the feeling they are all good. They also stock a unique assortment of locally-made gluten-free pastries in a little case by the counter. When they started playing ‘Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone as I headed out, it sealed the deal that I’d be back again. Solid place.

Pretty on the fence about this place… Im ALL about supporting small businesses especially in my town, but i was expecting a lot more): Very clean inside, great place to chill or have some lunch. — Employee there was restocking the fridges with lots of juices and she was very friendly asking if i needed any help. Took me a minute to decide what i wanted since it was my first time. –I ended up ordering the«Jenny on the block»(i think) smoothie. I cant remember everything it listed that was in it besides from like dates, coffee & almond milk. It sounded suuuper good based on what was in it, but i was very disappointed once i finally took a sip): –States that drinks are never watered down however mine tasted SUPER watered down. It tasted like watery coffee, very very flavorless. –Another thing was that i see didn’t any prices for the smoothies, only the juices. I was charged $ 7.50!!! Which is honestly ABSURD. I know that everything is organic and made fresh but $ 7.50 for a SMOOTHIE that was BLAND, in a PLASTIC cup and wasn’t even all the way filled when i received it is pretty upsetting. — If i would have known that i was gonna be charged that much i would have much rather ordered a juice with the glass container so i could at least re-use it. Not sure if i’m willing to give this place another try yet…

Fresh Organic Healthy Juices and more! The juices here are really fresh and all their juices are cold pressed, which keeps more of the nutrients. They have happy Hour on Fridays from 3 – 4 pm with half off all of their juices. They have a good assortment of juices to almond milk to boosts(like immunity). None of their juices have any added sugar or water added, so everything is natural and pure. The Greenie in a Bottle was good, however it still tasted leafy. Depending on your tastes this one is a exactly what you would expect given that there’s no sugar added. They make their own Almond milk! I tried their chocolate almond milk and it was very refreshing and you could taste the quality of fresh raw ingredients. Bottom line, each bottle is pretty pricey given the glass bottles, but the $ 2 is refundable upon bringing back the bottle. I really like the freshness and quality of the juice and definitely my go to for cold pressed juices in this area.

Sorry guys maybe I picked a bad day to come? If you’re going to be open on the weekend you should still have all of your juices available. It was my first time hear, I was reading the 9 juice varieties posted on the wall trying to make a decision when I was directed to the grab and go refrigerator behind me that was nearly empty! I picked 2 juices that were good but I honestly think they could have been better with a price of $ 7.50 for a small bottle. I get the $ 2 bottle deposit but it would be nice to have a to go cup option(compost cup instead of glass bottle). The juices I got were dated 1⁄13 and today is 1/16, should 3 day old juice still be full retail price? The avocado toast was delicious but I asked for salt and pepper and was told there was pink salt on the avocado already, I would have liked more, and there was no pepper :( Lastly there was only one really nice girl working, she prepared my toast and coffee. All said and done my order took about 12 min, had there been anyone ahead of me I would have been there for 30 min, that’s tough if you’re in a hurry.

Little known fact, about 2 years ago, I had attempted on introducing myself to the world of cold press juices with Uptown Juices. Unfortunately being a novice, I did not realize that I had to pre-order online and pick it up at the Kitchener vs being able to buy upon arrival. Almost as disappointed as George Constanza’s encounter with the Soup Nazi, although my encounter was much friendlier, No Juice For Me! Since, I have sipped my way through a couple of other juiceries that had retail locations. But I guess Uptown Juice had remained in the back of my mind that just needed a little reminding. So when I saw a Gilt City offer a couple of weeks ago for a discounted 5 punch card and that they now have a retail space, I knew I needed to finally check it out. Hours: Their hours of 8 – 6 on weekdays are a bit of challenge if you are not working in the Oakland area and limited Saturday hours of 10 – 2 meant a small window to get down here for the rest of us. Juices: There are more varieties in the 8 oz bottles than the 16 oz so we had about 5 to choose from in the 16 oz. I absolutely love the beets, lime, and life and wish I got two of those instead as it barely made it home before it was all gone, every delicious ruby red drop of it. Our second bottle Burdock of the Bay may have been too adventurous for me(too bad we weren’t offered a sample to try first). I like kale juices and my first choice of Kale-fornia was not available in the 16 oz and felt this combo was too muddled and overpowered with the ginger. Prices: As of now, all bottles sold at the retail are glass bottles so $ 2 deposit per bottle which you can return for $ 2 off a future purchase. I am not sure how much is the 8 oz as I did not see pricing in the case but I believe the 16 oz is $ 13(including the $ 2 deposit).

FINALLY a hipster Uptown juice establishment filled with healthy organic yummies. Yes, it is pricey… but that is unfortunately the nature of eating clean. I had the Chia Smoothie, absolutely delicious not too sweet. They also have freshly jarred soups, gluten free pastries, and a bunch of other heathy fare. I feel like coffee shops are getting to be pretty passé, so this is a nice alternative. Best of all it’s right next to bart and right below Barefoot Movement for all you yoga addicts. Can’t wait to come back for the Chia Pudding and to checkout some of the juice shots.

Finally there’s a juice spot in Oakland! The juices and service are great. It’s a little on the pricy side, so I like to bring my own glass bottle/mason jar to save $ 2. My favorite is Greenie in a Bottle. & Their Ginger & Juice seems like it would be delicious if you add some actual gin as well. Great spot to read, it’s pretty quiet because they do all the juicing & prep downstairs. If there’s a time where I want to treat myself, boost up my nutrition, or if I feel like I may be getting sick, I come here.

Somewhat yuppy uptown juice joint. A little overpriced, so this feels a bit like San Francisco prices coming to Oakland. It’s $ 13 for a large juice(with $ 2 back on bottle return) and $ 7.50 for a small(again, with $ 2 back). So if you go occasionally, it’s probably OK. They have some other weirdo stuff too, although I imagine some of it’s lunch-oriented, and I’ve only been there very early, since it’s right by my BART stop. The juices themselves are pretty good — lots of nutrients packed in; and I think they’re all vegan. You are really paying for convenience as usual. The only other place I’m aware of uptown/downtown that does juice like this is 475 Café. Unfortunately, this place doesn’t open until 8am, so I wasn’t able to go this morning.

Customer service is always awesome! They let you try before you buy, and if you’re lucky they’ll have samples of their gluten free berry bread pudding. My favorite is Kale-ifornia Love and Beets, Lime, & Life. The perfect substitute when I forget to bring veggies for lunch. They’re never overly sweet and always super fresh. The spot is also adorable and sometimes I’ll grab a juice and eat my lunch on their outdoor table on Broadway. Super happy to have them so close to my work and home!

Hooray for delicious, local cold press goodness! I was welcomed with lots of smiles by the women who were working and given a brief description of everything without having to ask. The could tell it was my first time. The prices are fair given everything is so fresh, local and organic. Juice taste great and comes in a recyclable glass bottle, they even offer $ 2 off Your next juice if you bring your bottle back. Plenty of places to sit even a couple tables outside. Smoothies and a couple food options. Oh yeah and coffee. I ordered a Bonita Apple-bomb. Hella good.

Wow! The juices I got today, Kale-ifornia Love and Babyface Assassin, both hit it out of the park, phenomenally fresh and delicious. These guys are now my official juice purveyors. It’s about time downtown/uptown Oakland got a great juice shop. Also, fantastic service. The young lady who waited on me was friendly and well-informed about the juices. Five stars because I really can’t imagine what they could do better.

This place just opened and looks spectacular. You walk in, and people are welcoming you left and right. I didn’t get a chance to try their juice(which all of the workers are very knowledgable about) but I did try their date-chocolate chip cookie. Such a unique place it is – I would go again if I had a little more money in my pocket!

Uptown Juice is hard to get to, with all the construction going on. nice setup. next to a breakfast place. no signs up except for the one on the front door.(city ordinance probably). offerings: juice(5.5, 11, 13?), rolls(sort of), salads, kombucha, cookies, coffee(assume) drink: kale-ifornia love(5.5, 4 oz?) -«all organic: kale, spinanch, apple lemon, cucumber, parsley, celery» –100% raw juice, no water or sugar added. tasted weak, not kale-centric as i like. –farmers market pricing cheaper.(rent issue) –big bottles $ 2 deposit, refundable, yep, i know, still have a bottle in my car 6 months already. drips: –fab alternative for downtown, seating available. –didn’t have time to chill –daily specials on board behind cashier. –smiling cashier very helpful –helpful if edibles had pricing on them(for cheapos, i.e. me). 4 stars for the options, pricey yes, organic is.

Place just open with about 18 – 20 seats with couple of tables. Cold-pressed juice, soup, salad, kombucha with coffee by Mr. Espresso coming soon. Cookies from Bump City are fresh and nutritional. Make sure to grab a coupon flyer and use on the spot for $ 1 – 2 off your purchase.
