Stuart and his team were absolutely FABULOUS, and we were thrilled with is work. Because we live on the east coast, we couldn’t come out for an engagement session. However, he worked with our schedule and allowed us to have one a couple days before the wedding so we could get used to being photographed and working with him/​his team.
During that first shoot, they put us at ease immediately, were professional and efficient but also a lot of fun. On the day of the wedding, they had arrived early to both our «official» photo venue and the separate wedding venue to scout them out for the best shots. When we arrived, they just told us what to do and our job was easy. They made sure to use the lighting to their advantage, got some stellar sunset shots and took many creative artistic ones that we loved.
I would recommend Stuart to anyone looking for a photographer for any reason, and in particular a wedding. His prices are completely reasonable and he went above and beyond for innumerable lovely photos. Several of our guests commented that they really liked him and his team, as well! If we lived in SF, we would definitely contact him again for any photography needs!

What I liked about working with Stuart the most: he’s always positive, easy-​going and is willing to jump through hoops to make sure we got what we wanted from our pictures.
I loved our wedding because my wife made sure to include all the elements of the city that we love: our church was across from where we first met, our dinner was at Park Tavern where we had our first date, and we had a tour that stopped at all the vistas we love frequenting so we could show our friends and family why we love living in SF.
It’s important that I share this because I’m impressed by the fact that our wedding album includes all of this. Stuart made sure to capture every moment. Nothing is missing, and my wife has an album that she can’t stop showing to her friends.
What I’m even more impressed by is that he traversed the entire city with us, even though he gets horribly motion-​sick — which we never found out about until after we had already winded down the twists and turns of Twin Peaks and already hurtled by the rolling hills of the Presidio — a testament to his quiet dedication in my opinion.
But let’s face it, I’m a guy and I’m just not as precise with what I want as my wife is, so maybe I’m easily pleased.
So from my point of view, what I think will help you in making your decision for a wedding photographer the most is how happy my wife was after she was done talking to Stuart. No fuss, no muss. If she didn’t like something about a picture, he fixed it. If she wanted some element in our shoot, he made sure to include it.
I wish everyone else in the world was as easy and pleasant to work with as Stuart is.

Stuart did exactly, succinctly, effeciently, what he said he would do! We had a luxurious elopement and Stuart came thru and deserves an Olympic medal.
Not being from Northern California and planning a wedding that was purely by email and electronic correspondence can be scary, you only get one chance… but Stuart always responded to the emails and was there on time, in fact early, prepared to do anything and was very creative. He took over 300 shots and gave us a beautiful website to pick and choose from. We are still trying to figure out which ones we want to make an album but I wanted to make sure and allay anyone’s fears that he does what he says he will and is a professional.
We were on a budget and he worked with us and generously gave his time without consequence. I can only say that if you hire him please give him what you can because he deserves it.

It was great fun to have our engagement photo shoot with Stuart. It was a fun way to get to know him as a photographer, and I highly recommend it. After seeing the photos I was very impressed, my fiancé always tends to make silly faces in the photos I take, but Stuart seemed to capture a realistic image of us as a couple. He has a way of making you look good. He is also very patient and is willing to work with you. I recommend engagement photos as a way to practice before the real day. I can’t wait for him to take our wedding photos.

As a bride and groom, for us it was most important to capture our day. To be able to hold those memories forever. We’re a young couple and couldn’t afford to pay so much as to get into debt. We were surprised when talking to Stuart at how reasonable he was. He’s a respected artist but still a relatable guy.
Photo wise, we had an engagement shoot, pre wedding shoot, as well as 8+ hours at our wedding. The photos were more than I could have ever imagined! Our prewedding photos were taken in a locoal bookstore and the local cinema. It was very fun and the photos came out so creative! Stuart was very adaptable.
We got married in a humble Kingdom Hall and had a reception in an antique Hall. He was able to take such wonderful photos inside and out of each location. The lighting was spot on! The candids were great! Honestly. We were worried that he wasn’t taking candid because we never saw him! He was so laid back. Nevertheless, we got over 600 candids! They were classic and still artistic. He brought his assistant wife along to the wedding. She was such a joy to be around!
All in all, Weddings By Stuart is the one to go with. We couldn’t have asked for more out of a photographer.

Stuart was a lifesaver at the last minute. My wife and I eloped and had an amazing wedding on the coast near Santa Rosa. Stuart jumped in at the last minute, with a professional, friendly attitude, great gear, had some really awesome ideas for us, and made the experience really great for us. Everything turned out great, and I’d highly recommend him!

Stuart is an amazing photographer with an artistic eye and flair. His talent for capturing life’s moments: engagements, weddings, births, etc, is evident in the beautiful photos he produces. For our engagement photo shoot, he took great effort to understand our style and preferences. He is equally gifted at spontaneous and formal shots, with stunning results. We loved the photos and look forward to him shooting our big day.
When working with wedding vendors, response time is one of the most critical indicators of reliability and professionalism. Stuart is very responsive and gets back to you when he says he will, which is very reassuring, given the stresses of planning such an event.
