Buchanan Heating & Air Conditioning

It does get hot where we live in the East Bay and these guys apparently can’t charge a condenser properly. OMG We failed our HERS test awhile back and the son of the owner sold us a unit that was bigger than we needed and now we couldn’t close our permit. What a mess. Greedy salesmen on commission.

OK it gets HOT in Oakley. You need an a/​c unit that runs good. This is the company to call.
So we have a problem child and her name is our a/​c unit. The unit was draining out of the top emergency run off and then dripped into our drywall.
We stopped using it when that happened (scary) and since we bought are home recently we had a home «warranty» (using that very loosely). I called the warranty company and they had only one hvac company they contracted with and that company was booked solid for 2 weeks. UM NOOOOOO. So I insisted on using someone I found and submitting for reimbursement on my own.
I called 2 hvac places and one went straight to voicemail and one the lady heard what we needed and said you should call someone else we are booked.
I THEN called Buchanan and I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER HVAC COMPANY. THEY ARE THE BEST.
Brenda in the office/​dispatch was really friendly and knowledgeable. She went the extra mile and called my warranty company to tell them the diagnosis.
Mike who came out two times what honest, friendly, hard working and we learned a lot from him.
The final visit, Vince the owner came out and he was very nice, efficient and took time to explain what was going on.
Turns out our ellusive problem child a/​c unit just needed Buchanan to come and get her on the straight and narrow. :)

We just had Buchanan install AC in our Oakland home. They were pleasant to work with, competitively priced and scheduled the job within a week of me calling. Our home is nice and cool now and we are very appreciative of the great job they’ve done!

We just had Buchanan Heating & Air Conditioning replace our AC unit as well as our furnace. They also dual zoned our house adding a Nest thermostat to the upstairs. I was very pleased with the work, the attention to detail, friendliness of the staff and of course the cost of the project. I recommend Buchanan to anyone needing HVAC service.
