I haven’t been here in so long but they have the best Egg Drop Soup around and the best Lo Mein! I used to come here all the time when I was growing up in the area but I haven’t been back for at least 3 years. I really liked it then, so I would like to go back soon. The quality of the food was always fantastic when I went and the plating and service was also really good!

4 stars? Come on Unilocal let’s put the drugs away and be honest. This place is terrible! First off it took me 10 minutes to place my order. After repeating everything I said at least twice and repeating my address 4 times, I should have just grabbed my ankles and prepared for an old fashion finger bang. I had no choice but to give them 1 star and that’s only because Unilocal makes you. The delivery time was good. The food not so much. First off they gave me the lunch portion which is equal to eating a Happy Meal. Then you realize you paid $ 36 dollars for something that won’t even fill you up. Quality of food! Let’s see the orange chicken was dry, general tsos chicken dry, Lo mein flavorless. I can just imagine the cook basically not caring at all and just throwing it together. Plus I asked for the gerneal tsos to be spicy and you guessed it nothing. Stay away unless you get really stoned and don’t care what you’re eating.

This restaurant is not good for authentic Chinese. It is only for American Chinese food. The food is terrible and not authentic at all. If you are looking for real Chinese food, please go to a different place, not this one.

It’s pricey but worth it. They serve quality chicken, which makes all the difference.

Great menu. I had something so simple so its hard to say how it would compare elsewhere. Very friendly service. I want to try their artichoke dishes next time!

The food was meh. Not that great tasting. The Lo Mein had a burnt smokey taste. They don’t substitute rice for vegetables so you’re forced to order another dish. Won’t be returning. Only 1 other table with 1 couple seated when we arrived so the place wasn’t busy at all. We should had eaten at the Thai Restaurant next door. It was full of customers and really busy!

First off. You walk in and it smells delicious. I ordered carry out from a nice woman. And used their free wifi(the password is their fax number) while I waited for my veggie and shrimp fried rice to cook. It was very good! I would definitely go back.

I was just driving near work looking for chinese food when I saw Old Peking. The good reviews on Unilocal convinced me to try it out. It was a little disconcerting trying to find the small bar located in the very back of the resturant to place my carryout order. It was just minutes before I received a heavy bag with my lunch in it — vey fast sevice. When I opened my meal, I was greeted with a very tasty and large spring roll — one of the best I have had in years. The Kung Pao chicken was spicy and fantastic. The portions are quite generous. I am lookig forward to a return.

Well, I have to say it’s American Chinese food and I am only a fan of traditional Chinese food. The duck is quite good with nice quantity, even half duck is a big full plate. The restaurant is decorated quite well.

Just brought home some Rainbow Shrimp that was excellent. The aroma was enticing, the shrimp large with just the right balance of vegetables and sauce. I highly recommend this dish.

Very beautiful little restaurant. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is almost romantic. I got steamed pork & vegetables and it was really tasty. My fiancé got beef lo mein and said it was good but a little bland.(He likes a lot of seasoning.) Overall, we had a great dinner.

Ordered delivery. The food was very good. But I would not come again because the portions are tiny relative to the price. The meat and vegetables came in the smallest Chinese food container and literally a handful of rice. It definitely didn’t satisfy my appetite! I would recommend only if they increased their portion sizes. Maybe they give more when you dine in…

Very good, quality Chinese food. I am allergic to shellfish and they made sure to make our dishes without shellfish and/or tell me which ones might have oyster sauce used in them. I will stress the quality of the food here is superior, in my opinion to many other Chinese places where you may find cheaper food. The food was likely higher in price, but you get what you pay for and in my opinion it was well worth it! We had beef with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, veggie lo mein and veggie egg rolls. All were very well prepared and portions were good sizes. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Excellent food. Not too heavy or greasy. I really like they have the white meat only option for chicken. Wish they had delivery.

The décor was very impressive, however, the food was not. Don’t get me wrong, it was okay. We started with steamed dumplings. The meat was fairly bland and the dipping sauce lacked the flavor that I am used to – it seemed more like slight watered down soy sauce than anything. My dining companion had the combination lo mein with beef, chicken, and shrimp, which was quite tasty and had a generous portion. I had the general tso’s chicken, which was a bit overcooked and too battered for my liking. Maybe my standards are high because I lived in New York where Chinese food was cheap, delicious, and plentiful, but I would prefer PF Chang’s to this.

My wife and I tried Old Peking last Friday. We have been trying to find a go to place for Chinese food in the area, but have come up empty several times. This time, we found our place! This restaurant is in a small strip mall. Usually, I don’t expect much in décor with places like this. But when I walked in I was surprised! They had great décor, and the dim lighting really set the mood. I felt like I was eating in a pricey restaurant. We ordered the kung pao chicken and shrimp and it was absolutely amazing! The chicken was especially soft and tender. You have to try it! We also ordered beef lo mein and it was excellent. The portions were HUGE. We had enough food left over for lunch the next day. Two people could eat in just one dish in my opinion. We had a fantastic experience here and we have found our place for Chinese food!

We love Old Peking! We had tried Hunan Tasty but thought it was gross. Old Peking was a good find, for eating in or take-out(they do not deliver). Its a nicer restaurant though than delivery Chinese. The food seems fresh and had a lot of flavor. Lots of fresh veggies available. Any of the dishes with basil are amazing. I did not find the food pricey, you are just paying a little more for better food! Wait staff was fine, nothing special. Its always full on a Friday, Sat or Sunday night!

This was another find in the 2 strip malls in Oakton There are a few really good places to dine at. Great little place nice cozy atmosphere Food is surprisingly good Fresh ingredients and served and plated nicely Service is very friendly. Everyone seems genuinely happy to take care of the customer. Inside is a lot nicer looking than the outside storefront This place was a great find.

This place is a pretty classic American Chinese restaurant(the good kind, not the hood kind). I got some hot and sour soup which was okay and general tsos chicken which was pretty tasty. It’s not super sweet american style(which I also like a lot) but more authentic Chinese tasting instead(think Chinese all spice and notes of sugar and vinegar). I’d like to try more dishes if I’m ever in the area again

The best chinese food I have ever had! hands down! the service here is great every time. Love the kung pao beef without celery, hunan chicken, lo mein and beef and broccoli, the egg rolls and steamed vegetable dumplings. Really you can’t go wrong getting chinese food from here whether you want to sit down and dine or get carry out.
