Great yarn shop!!! A fantastic selection of yarns of all weights and price points, with local yarns, hand-dyed yarns, etc. They also have a wonderful variety of needles and notions. Excellent customer service! They knew when to help me, and when to give me space. They were super friendly to my kids: — they have drawers of toys and games for kids of various ages — they demonstrated how the color-changing yarn works to my kids who were so enthralled(even though they had already taken the time to show me earlier) Tough to find parking, but I drove around the block and found some. Super cute tiny town on the river — very quaint and adorable.

LOVE this store! We went here today for the first time and were impressed. Robyn, the owner, is super helpful with everything and answered a battery of my beginner-type questions. She seemed well equipped to handle questions from more experienced knitters/crocheters, too. Yarn Cloud is very cozy. You don’t feel pressured while you’re browsing — in fact, we were encouraged to touch everything. The walls are lined with gorgeous hues of every color in wool, cotton, silk and alpaca blends(probably more, to be honest — I feel like I didn’t even scratch the surface browsing today!). There is truly a superb variety of yarns — way, way, way more than any chain craft store, and much, much higher quality. The prices are higher than a craft store — however the quality(and the helpfulness of the staff) make it well worth it. Plus, the particular brands and blends of fibers here aren’t even offered in the big craft stores. There are a number of intriguing class options and drop in clinics I’ve yet to explore, but am looking forward to learning about in the future. There’s also a rewards program and, at least this month, a «new customer» discount. And, if you move away from the area, she sells through Amazon! If you like knitting, crocheting, or anything else that involves the fiber arts — it’s well worth the trip to Occoquan!

The ladies who work here are awesome! The owner, Robyn, is very helpful and a patient teacher. She also has an amazing selection of yarns. Thanks to the people in this shop and its generous community of knitters, I have learned so much about knitting and crochet in the last couple of years. Hands down, this is the best yarn shop in Northern Virginia!

This is one of the best yarn shops in NOVA. Robyn, the owner, greets every customer with a warm smile, gives tours of the shop to new customers, and takes the time to learn her customers’ names. Customer service is #1 at the Yarn Cloud. Robyn keeps a great selection of affordable and beautiful yarns, notions, books, needles/hooks, and tatting supplies. She makes it a point to find more affordable alternatives to the super luxury yarns we all wish we could afford. The classes offered are always fun and friendly. There are socials held every month for tatters, knitters, and crocheters to come together to meet friends, learn something new, or just get a little help on a project. I am so glad Woodbridge finally has a yarn store, and I’m even happier that it is a great yarn store.

Ms. Robyn is such a lovely women. She walked me around her cozy store full of beautiful fibers and made me feel warm and very welcomed unlike some other very popular fiber shops in northern Va. This place is amazing with beautiful and affordable fibers. Can’t wait to take a class.

This is the coziest yarn store I’ve ever seen! The yarns are well organized and the shop features local vendors’ hand-painted and dyed yarns – it’s nice to think that you’re buying locally. There is a big worktable where people can come and knit or crochet. If I had more time, I’d bring my work there so I could get some pointers. Prices are comparable with commercial fabric stores, and the variety is much better. It’s a little hard to find, but if you drive past the daycare center and look the the right, it’s in the first corner at your 3 o’clock.
