Found it by accident, decided to give It a try and was more than pleasantly surprised with the choice’s, amount of food you get, and very reasonably priced.

I had lunch at Arlene’s today with two others and, as in previous visits the food was delicious, the environment clean and pleasant and the staff very friendly and efficient. We had a French Dip sandwich, a veggie Quesadilla and a Quiche with with crab, cheese …. All reported their food was delicious. I live in Ocean City and will continue to consider Arlene’s when going out for a meal.

Pleasant experience on a gloomy April morning. Interesting selection of old breakfast favorites and some extra, i.e. Crepes. Good food and very pleasant staff. A word of caution if you order a Benedict. They are very generous with Hollindaise(spelling?). Order on the side.

I love this place! I’ve never had a meal there I didn’t like! Their creamed chipped beef, French toast, and boneless buffalo wings are my favorite! I really enjoy the family-like atmosphere! Everyone is so friendly and the pricing is very reasonable! This is my go-to spot for breakfast/lunch whenever I am in OC!

The only truly Celiac friendly sit-down breakfast/lunch restaurant in all of Ocean City. Not only are they highly conscientious about cross contamination of gluten– the food is fantastic. It’s simply a delight to be able to take my kid out to a restaurant while on vacation and not worry about his Celiac. Thank you Arlene’s!

My husband and I ate here on Monday, Labor Day 2015 midday and by Wednesday am, we were both violently ill.(We both ate lettuce, tomatoes and shared breakfast potatoes-I’m guessing that the lettuce was contaminated). With stabbing stomach pains, diarrhea, vomiting and fever, our doctors both said food poisoning is to blame. And this was the only meal in which we shared food out in the past week. I remember glancing at the disgusting refrigerator by the kitchen and wondering what types of bacteria were growing in there, well now I know! Besides the rude, miserable waitresses and awful service, the restaurant was dirty and the ambiance anything but enjoyable. The meals tasted very average and the prices much more expensive than competing diner style restaurants in OC(ie Yiannis). However, even if this was an amazing meal with wonderful service, you will NEVER catch my husband and I dining here again. STAYAWAYORRISKSICKNESS!

From left: Gluten free chocolate banana pancakes, Bacon cheese tomato egg white omelet, blue berry pancakes, homemade cinnamon bun French toast, breakfast sausage and rye toast. This place is amazing! Girlfriend is a celiac so we drove from Atlantic City to Ocean City just to come here! And it was well worth it!!! Everything was amazing and so many gluten free options. Gluten free pancakes were delicious and so fluffy! Blueberry pancakes were fresh, fluffy and filled with flavor. Homemade cinnamon bun French toast was out of this world. My favorite. Bacon omelet was so stuffed and HUGE! Lastly the sausage www on point. No complaints can be made about this place. All around 5 stars for food and service. Hands down best breakfast spot to eat if you are in a 30 minute radius! Amazing!

Went here for breakfast on Sunday, August 23, 2015. We were a party of two. The food came back really fast and everything was fine. No mistakes. We wanted re-fills on our coffee(one regular and one decaf) and waited 20 minutes for the decaf which was allegedly«still brewing». We asked 4 staff members for the coffee before it finally came. We complained about the inconvenience to the owner who was unapologetic and said that her staff must have gotten«side tracked». It was not that busy that this could have been done much, much sooner. We never had time to sit and relax and enjoy the refill because we had to leave to make an appointment so the overall experience was very disappointing. Not coming back because there are many restaurants with better service in OC.

I ordered the chip beef and a short stack of pancakes. It was quite a hearty meal. I cleared off the plate, so obviously I had no problem with the food. I would return if we visit Ocean City again.

Cannot recommend this place enough! My family and I attend Arlenes at least once a week for breakfast and are always treated with great service and an even better meal! We love that Arlenes offers a little bit of everything, giving everyone in your party an option. I love the healthier options that Arlenes has to offer such as the cottage cheese and mixed fruit bowl or the vegetable omelette.

We went here based on the four start Unilocal reviews and can’t understand how this place is rated so high. Maybe breakfast is their best bet but lunch was horrible. I had the quiche and a cup of soup. Both were bland and obviously microwaved. The quiche had a mass of melted greasy cheddar cheese stuck on top and all over the plate. The crust was your basic frozen store brand. My daughter ordered a crab cake sandwich which coming out of the microwave was so hot it burned her mouth. Cocktail and tarter were in packaged cups and French fries were white and under cooked. The waitress was barking orders at the kitchen and talking about taking out the trash ??? Not a four star worthy place.

Amazing food! The place to be for breakfast! They have a large selection for both breakfast and lunch and the food comes out fast and the vibe of the restaurant is very home-y and comfortable. The peanut butter pancakes with bananas were out of this world! And the price of the food is very cheap. Definitely recommend.

I’m still going to give this place a 3-star review but this place is pretty trashy. First, both waitresses are covered in hickeys adding to the oh-so-trashy atmosphere. AND there HASTOBE. A health violation that one of said waitresses is wearing flip flops. I don’t care that we’re at the beach, you work in the food industry. GROSS! And finally, I cant complain about the food. It’s good, but the service of SSSSOOOOFFFFRRRIIIIGGGGGIIIINSLLLLLLOOOOW!!!(This has been sitting in my cue to approve since June of 2013. I hope they’ve improved since.)

Great and reliable breakfast. Good place. Clean and not too bad expensive. If you don’t like this place, I don’t know what to say. It’s good all American breakfast with LOTS of options. Go try.

First year we have tried this place but continue to come back! Arlene’s food is delicious and the waitresses hustle. I got the Harriet’s Special with egg whites and no mushrooms. The portion was very big and it came with lots of veggies(green and red peppers, onions, and spinach) like a scrambler not like an omelette, side of salsa(not homemade), and an english muffin, I also added a side of bacon(ask for it extra crispy) its soooo good and not flimsy. I wish the salsa was homemade and the place is relatively small but all in all they have great great breakfast! Also, during a pick up order we got sandwiches since the wait was going to be long. Sandwiches are pretty big and cost around $ 5 and you can get them on a roll, bagel or wrap. Tip: There are OCNJ coupon books in different places… when you see them pick them up Arlene’s usually has a 10% coupon that can be used in one of them!

I felt like I was having breakfast at my moms. We had the chipped beaf(SOS), scrapple, shrimp omelet and pancakes. Everything was awesome. Very comfortable family run place. I felt like a local. The place was packed but staff was plentiful and nice. Seating inside and out. They’re only open for breakfast and lunch. We WILL be back, maybe even for lunch today. They even have Sriracha hot sauce(from California). Six thumbs up from the Caseys.
