Dumser’s is a popular franchise in the Ocean City, MD area. They offer either carry-out, which you order outside at the window, or dine-in, where you have a server and sit down at a table inside to enjoy your meal. Many people come here for a quick and inexpensive lunch or snack, especially after the bar. They’re carry-out is open late which is always a plus! Typically on weekends I noticed they stay open until 3 a.m. while on weekdays they close around midnight. I guess it depends on the time of year. Dumser’s has a lot to offer from burgers to ice cream. The food here is bit fattening but just a little won’t hurt! ;) The ice cream is amazing as well as the milkshakes, so don’t forget to try the ice cream before heading home! On my last visit to Dumser’s, my boyfriend and I decided to order a bunch of food to share. We ordered a Chicken Philly Cheesesteak, Large Onion Rings, and a Large French Fries. The Chicken Philly was great! I was a bit skeptical but it was actually better than Belly Buster’s(which is famous for their cheesesteaks). Now, the onion rings, they were amazing. I can’t explain why but wow were they good. The breading didn’t over power the onion, it was an even proportion of breading and onion. The way onion rings are supposed to be made! Even the fries had me amazed. They were crunchy with a soft potato inside mmm that will keep me coming back for more! The service here is also not bad. Courtney at carry-out was awesome! She was super friendly and had a smile on her face from the time of my arrival to the time of my departure. She is definitely a great addition to this restaurant!

Had the worst dinner possible at Nick’s and Dumser’s made my night with the banana peanut butter sundae!

I wasn’t thrilled with this place. We came here last summer and waited on line forever only to get half melted ice cream. When I asked for another flavor in hoping that was better, the server gave me an attitude. She then handed me my order with a hair on my spoon. Save your $. Nothing special here.

This is a great place for dessert! The food looks good but we just came for ice cream. We had two delicious sundaes. Three scoops, two toppings and lots of fresh whipped cream! We could hardly finish them. This location does NOT serve breakfast! The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. Very clean place, nice and open. We felt like we were in an old time cream shop, the kind of atmosphere you don’t often find anymore. I would go back!

The manager refuses to serve crinkle cut fries at 49th street so we had to go to 123rd.

Oh Dumpster’s(this is what my kids call you). How I love you! We have only had real food here once, and probably not again because it just wasn’t that great and we have many other places we like to eat. But for kids and families, it is a great place and the food is not bad. Just nothing really beachy about the menu. The ice cream, however, is a different story. It is all good. It is so good we come multiple times during our trips. The outside eating area is perfect on an OC night when it isnt so crowded for us to sit down and enjoy our sundaes, milk shakes or cones. We love Dumser’s so so much!

Food was average and way for priced. Too many up charges. Waitress encourages it to hike up the bill to newcomers. Stick with Just getting ice cream.

Ocean City in October is quiet. It’s also possible to enjoy the beach and ocean much more when the crowds are gone… which is why I was in town. On a very quiet weekday evening during the off-season I found myself craving a little«diner» vibe, so ended up here. A bowl of Italian wedding soup, a club sandwich, and a mug of hot tea — just the combo needed. Staffing is obviously reduced for the season, yet the young women working as wait staff were doing a great job of multitasking. Other reviews got it right — food was average, ice cream items were delightful, and the service was best of all.

Dumser’s is the original and absolutely my favorite late night ice-cream joint. I always order the same thing, Peanut Butter Sundae! However, if you’re a true peanut butter lover you gotta order extra peanut butter. Because 3 scoops of ice-cream to 1 scoop of peanut butter is not a great ratio. Overall, the prices are reasonable and its a great diner-like place to grab some late night snackage!

I’ve eaten dinner here a few times. The food over all isn’t anything special. It’s a normal American cuisine that’s burgers and fries, grilled cheese things like that. Not good but not bad either. Staff is mediocre at best but it’s an inexpensive little place and let’s be honest this place is all about the ice cream and shakes. You don’t come here for excellent service and ambiance. Now the reason for the 4 stars is of course the ice cream and shakes. They are all delicious homemade tasting excellence. They are rich and creamy and is the perfect«night cap» on a hot summer night.

Yes the customer service sucks because the employees hate their jobs but who cares! The ice cream is so delicious that you shouldn’t worry about their attitudes, just worry about the sweet taste of goodness that will flow ever so gently into your stomach! I had the small vanilla soft serve and even though I thought it would be just enough to satisfy, I found myself struggling towards the end of my cone– that of course is not to say I didn’t enjoy it because I did . If your looking for a place not on the boardwalk for some yummy soft serve, make Dumser’s your first choice!

An Ocean City tradition! Best ice cream and soft serve in town. So much more rich, creamy, and smooth than the average cone. We also grabbed lunch one day on the front patio on 52nd street — clam strips and crinkle fry basket big enough for two to share — around $ 8! The tartar was excellent as well — seems homemade. I’ve never eaten inside, but why would you want to with their awesome outdoor atmosphere!

Cute old style ice cream shop. Ice cream is delicious. Stopped last week after a day at the beach and a game of mini golf. The lines were long but moved quickly. The young people working behind the counter hustled to keep up. We had ice cream(chocolate soft serve with peanut butter dip) and milk shakes. The soft serve was creamy and chocolaty. The milk shakes were thick with ice cream. Great little place right outside of Ocean City. I highly recommend it.

Dumsers is a must whenever we go to OC! We went for dinner and both my husband and I got the fried chicken which was awesome! We also always get ice cream — Peanut Butter Supreme all the way! Always great! Will be back next year!

Very disappointed. It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but after walking around for a while for a good ice cream place I was very much disappointed. I could have overlooked the long line and the fact that we ordered, paid and had to stand awkwardly behind the new people ordering for our ice cream if it was actually Good. But no. It was fast food standards. All I wanted was a chocolate shake. Simple. Easy. But instead i got vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. If you don’t know my frustration imagine wanting chocolate ice cream and instead getting McDonald’s vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. Yeah totally sucks. Do not go here point blank.

Dumser’s is great. Right outside Seacrets. Tons of good eats. Onion rings are outstanding. Cheesesteaks are good. Gotta try a Hawaiian Delight milkshake, it’s a game changer. Oh yea, don’t sleep on the fried chicken. That stuff hit the spot. If you go to Seacrets, step outside for some Dumser’s rather than wasting your money on the below average over-priced food inside.

YUM! On a warm summer night, the line was definitely long, but moved quickly. I had the flavor of the day– mint Oreo– on a sugar cone with chocolate jimmies of course! It was divine. All the ice cream is homemade and you can tell. It’s the perfect texture and the scoops are soft and fluffy. Everyone enjoyed what they had– hard and soft serve alike! Definitely a winner!

Went here after Seacrets one night and had an awesome crab cake for $ 11.99. Went back the following morning for lunch and did not enjoy the food at all. Most of the menu is fried and clearly frozen. The fried chicken had the right amount of saltiness on the skin but the chicken itself lacked flavor. The cole slaw was dry and far from fresh. The homemade mac and cheese tasted like cheese whiz. At least the chocolate shake was good and Julianne is an excellent server.

This is a pretty big chain and it pretty much has the same experience no matter which one you do to. The Missus and I wanted some late night ice cream(we didn’t need it, believe me. we wanted it.) and this place was open. The ice cream was good. The menu of desserts was varied with lots of cool specialties. Nice place. Definitely for ice cream!

Definitely have no plans of returning to Dumser’s. I should have stuck with what I assume they do best and got the ice cream. Instead I looked at their lengthy food menu and decided to give that a shot. I ordered the cheese steak with fries. The cheese steak was dry and close to inedible. I asked for tomatoes and mushrooms and they ignored that and only gave me meat which was sub-par a piece of cheese. Fries weren’t much better, some were still cold in the middle. Dumser’s really let me down, I wanted a nice meal at the beach and ended up with overpriced crap.
