I love the custard here. It melts in your mouth and is perfectly creamy. The cones and cups are pricey, at 5.14 plus tax for the 2015 season. This shop has their full flavor range, with 5 machines serving 2 flavors each.

Love this place! Yes, it’s a chain. But this is what boardwalk soft serve ice cream is all about. If I go down the shore, I do not leave without stopping for some ice cream. Creamy, soft, and dreamy. This is what vacations are made of.

Love this place. Definitely an OC boardwalk must! Best part is on the off-season months they have seasonal flavors — pumpkin/vanilla, mint/vanilla. So good!

Located on my favorite boardwalk in NJ. Try the chocolate peanut butter custard. It was tasty awesome! Look out for the aggressive seagulls, but I believe they prefer french fries.

There really isn’t anything special about Kohr Brothers outside of tradition. They are a staple on the boardwalk. And truth be told, they have the creamsicle frozen custard, which is pretty good. A visit to the OC boardwalk usually involves a cone from here.

Kohr Brothers is exactly the kind of frozen custard place you would expect to find on the boardwalk. The prices run about $ 3 for a cone and all of the normal flavors are present, in addition to the normal selection of jimmies. Obviously I sprang for the jimmies because, seriously, who can pass up extra sugar? The custard is cold and creamy and definitely takes you on a trip down memory lane. They take credit, which is very helpful instead of trying to juggle change and a cone. The service was also really friendly at this location, which I appreciated.

Excellent frozen custard in a cone. My fav is the vanilla orange combination, and strawberry banana was excellent too. Hard to beat this ice cream option on the boardwalk!

Pretty amazing custard can be found at Kohr’s Bros on the boards in OCNJ. Rich, thick, cold and creamy, it’s a great treat. Not like ice cream, or froyo, it contains eggs and heavy cream. The seagulls will divebomb you for your cone, you’ve been warned!

No doubt the custard is very good. What they have in terms of flavors clearly works which is why they never add anything nor do they change anything. What they also have is the ability to charge whatever they want because a place like this plays very well with people’s soft side towards nostalgia. You keep coming back year after year like a big sheeple even though the portion size keeps shrinking and the cost keeps rising exponentially. (Of course portion size is determined to a point by the employee and some really shortchange you in terms of filling the cup or in how high they make the cone.) The problem I have is simply that while the stuff is good the price is completely insane. $ 4 for a small little mousefart cup or cone plus fifty cents extra for about two cents worth of jimmies? How about a chocolate dip for a buck more? WTF! Like I said earlier, it’s good but not THAT good and it’s got zero in terms of value. I can’t give five stars to anyplace or thing like that.

A delicious frozen treat on the boardwalk. The orange and vanilla swirl is a fine combination that creates a orange creamsicle soft serve. Never had ice cream with a creamy and tart combination, so it’s cool to try out.

The best frozen custard I’ve had & better than Rita’s! There are a couple locations on the boardwalk so even though this review is specific to this address, this review really compliments all the locations. They have different combinations, and if you are peanutbutter fan like me, you really need to try their custard! You can get plain peanutbutter or chocolate/pb twist! I would drive an hour for the icecream. There are other flavor combinations which I would have to say are very good as well. Ask for a free sample before buying too! Enjoy!

Getting Kohr Bros Custard before we leave our annual Ocean City, NJ vacation is an absolute must! The soft serve is really amazing with sprinkles and tastes even better when you have the priceless entertainment of sitting on a bench and people watching on the boardwalk.

Kohr Bros Frozen Custard is a must for us each year. Lots of flavor choices and interesting combinations. The custard is soft, creamy, and flavorful. It really hits the spot at the end of a hot summer day.

I recently organized a youth group trip do to Ocean City, NJ. I did some research online to see what places on the boardwalk I should check out. This was one of the places that came up as a must try for their soft serve. I am proud to say that I had fries for breakfast followed by their soft serve and more fries. Incidentally, boardwalk fries are perfect with soft serve. I did not expect to find anything special about the soft serve. There are so many places that do it. I chose plain vanilla to go with the fries and for easy comparison. But it was extraordinarily soft and rich. I was pretty impressed. And again, I can not emphasize enough how good they are with hot boardwalk fries(preferably from Curly’s).
