We were visiting OC for a couple days and heard all the hype about Phillys popular sub joint and thought we’d try it out. Well the place was dead which should’ve been a sign and the service was a complete joke. We actually asked for a sample of the roasted pork and the manager came over and gave a big to do about how everything is pre portioned out and that we wouldn’t be able to taste anything. We understood but really come on that’s ridiculous. One little bite couldn’t hurt. Anyway we got our food. Cheesesteak was a super small hardly any meat at all. I went to college in philly and have had some super huge yummy cheesesteaks and this one was tiny. We also ordered the roasted pork and that was decent and had a good amount of meat but again mediocre. I will say the only thing we really enjoyed were the fries. Wouldn’t recommend Tony Luke’s. Don’t waste your time or money. 2 small subs, fries and 2 drinks cost $ 26. Outrageous for mediocre food.

Ordered a cheesesteak with whiz and there wasn’t any cheese on it. Not a speck. The steak was cut way too thick. The original spot in Philly is clearly better. These people running this location clearly don’t care about their jobs or what they are serving. Hard pass on this place.

Loved the cheese steak sandwich. A little over priced but the meal was fantastic. Nice and big and definitely enjoyable. The service was great and quick. Overall we had a wonderful experience.

The customer service was terrible and very unpleasantly ran. Won’t go back if there was free food involved!!!

Great cheesesteaks and fries! We will be coming back! Service was super friendly. Only issue was the limited seating… and that wouldn’t have been a problem if it had been sunny outside instead of pouring rain…

Driving down Coastal and something shinny caught my eye. Hmm, Tony Luke’s has opened a shop in OC. Makes sense. I stopped in and ordered the Roast Pork sandwich, Italian styled. It was a huge disappointment. The broth was salty and really hid any pork flavor and the broccoli rabe was missing it’s bitterness. To be fair my only comparison for this particular sandwich is Tommy DiNic’s, who is the king of pork and broccoli rob. I will say the fries were good. Oh well, it’s not like there are a lack of choices on the island.

If you come here thinking your going to have the Tony Luke’s Philly experience don’t bother. It’s a decent cheesesteak but far from Philly. Definitely not worth the price. They’ll try to tell you it’s the same but trust me it’s not. Philly needs to come show them how to do it right!

The cheesesteak was rather wimpy for the $ 10 price. Almost no cheese wiz in and the steak was unseasoned and tasteless. The place was empty(not that I’m surprised because) staff was pretty rude. Won’t be coming back.

Hubby and I split a traditional cheesesteak with sharp provolone and an order of fries. The bread was fresh with a perfect crust. The amounts of meat and cheese were good. Skin-on fries were hot and seasoned just right. We’ll definitely go back.

Okay, Ocean City. Time to clear a few things up. 1. Tony Luke’s serves the best cheesesteaks in a city known for its cheesesteaks. Considering the dinner alternatives around here(Dough Roller, anyone?) you should be approaching this place with tears of gratitude in your eyes. The quality of the food here matches or eclipses what we had in Philadelphia: the star of the show is the baguette with a crispy-chewy crust and soft insides that perfectly soak up the juices from garlicky roast pork(for grownups) or magical melty Cheese Whiz(for kids /kids at heart.) 2. The correct way to order a Tony Luke’s sandwich is to specify either steak with onions and Whiz OR Italian roast pork with sharp provolone and broccoli rabe. There are other options, but they are inferior. Don’t mess with perfection. You may, however, order a side of crispy, hot skin-on fries, liberally seasoned with salt and pepper. Total for all three: $ 25. Thank me later. 3. Most of the wait staff around here is Eastern European, and this place is no exception. The young ladies we encountered there were friendly and courteous even to the rudest of customers(we encountered a couple of those on our visit.) They have charming accents, but they most definitely speak English. 4. Tony Luke’s is a well-oiled machine churning out delicious custom orders as fast as hungry vacationers can place them. We were there on a Saturday night and despite a large crowd, found a table immediately and waited less than 10 minutes for our food. The interior is pristine, much cleaner than the dingy and crowded interior of the original shop in Philly. 5. Forget what all the naysayers on and off of Unilocal are telling you. I was a little nervous myself after so much negative press, but tonight with a full belly, I am happy to report that a lot of people are just plain wrong about this place. Get yourself over here and enjoy some delicious dinner!

Not sure why the terrible reviews. Admittedly my standards are probably pretty low because I don’t live anywhere near Philly. I was also banged up every time the two nights I wandered in here at 2am. Compared to Connecticut cheesesteaks though, these were good! First time I got with onions, whiz and american. Second time I got with onions, mushrooms, whiz and american. I also got a chicken and cheese one night and mozzarella sticks another night. The mozz sticks were the only thing that didn’t taste good. Everything else was pretty damn good. It’s no Sonny’s but I would eat it again.

The wife and I tried Tony Luke’s for the first time on 08÷05÷15 and I can assure you we will never go back. Way, way overpriced for the amount you get. Very inexperienced help that speaks little to no English. We called in an ordered for a steak sub, burger and a hotdog. We arrived to find the messiest tiniest two sandwiches we’ve ever purchased, ever. Our hotdog was non existent because they don’t have hotdogs or speak proper English. Instead they packed«HOTSAUSE» instead of «HOTDOG». I really feel like we were ripped off by a company that either doesn’t read their feedback or doesn’t care what paying customers think because some other sucker will replace us. NEVERENDINGLINEOFSUCKERS if this is what they sell in Phili. We have Capt. Harvey’s in Baltimore County, please visit them, take a few notes and try again. ***I rarely leave negative or mediocre feedback, please read my other reviews to verify. This place really had me boiling. «GETITRIGHTORGOBACKTO Pa.» ****Please look directly across the street and try the burgers at the Barn34. Over the rest of our week we had breakfast lunch and dinner and love everything. The owner was there, introduced herself and assisted in waiting tables including ours. «That’s how you run a business».

Second time at this location. More of the same though. Wet, swampy, unseasoned cheese steak. Just completely wet and flavorless. This is the worst cheese steak I’ve had in Ocean City. Add to that the rubbery rolls and 1⁄3 of the way in I just threw it away. And I’ve never seen staff with less of a sense of urgency. There is slow but these people take it up a notch to slow motion. This was at 11:30 pm on a Tues with only 3 customers in the whole place. Nothing like the Philly Tony Luke’s I have visited in the past.

I got a chicken cutlet sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise and my fiancé got the hoagie which seemed to be what you would get if you ordered a cheesesteak anywhere else(steak, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion) and our friends ordered the cheesesteak not knowing that the only thing that would come on the sandwich was steak and cheese. The server was not very friendly and we had to repeat our order multiple times. It came out quickly enough, but the chicken did not taste great, I thought maybe it was frozen prior? Either way I have been feeling sick since I ate it. Would definitely not return or recommend.

I got me a Philly to go last night and it was great! Be sure to tell the staff exactly what you want on it as most of the staff seemed to be Eastern European Ukraine or Russian nice eye candy nothing wrong with that, they spoke great English and they were friendly to the customers. Best Cheesesteak in OC!

I hate to be Mr. Negative but this place was a huge disappointment. My traditional cheesesteak had two ingredients, steak and cheese the latter of which cost an additional $ 1.99. Nothing on the menu said I would be charged. for cheese on a CHEESESTEAK. I’m not impressed and won’t be back
