This place had great food, but they are closed permanently now and for rent. If you want coffee or desserts in Ocean Grove, you’ll have to go to the Ocean Grove Bake Shop before 1 pm, or Nagles or the Starving Artist.

Stored in the morning: Morning glory muffin, mmmmm. Returned for lunch today. I had the half homestead sandwich and the mushroom soup. Both were very delicious!

The good: I’ve always had really good food here. They used to make this gazpacho last season that was incredible but unfortunately I haven’t seen it yet this year. Just had the chicken salad which was delicious-not oily at all, great, fresh taste. I’ve also had an assortment of baked goods which are also very tasty. The negative: the staff unfortunately looks and acts like they’ve just downed a few Xanax. They don’t seem at all interested in serving customers. On the last 2 occasions, I was standing at the counter waiting for someone, anyone, to just acknowledge me. One of the girls who didn’t seem particularly busy doing anything just stared at me and slowwwwwly walked towards me and finally asked if I’d been helped. It was very strange considering how easy it is to just tell a customer as soon as they walk in «I’ll be with you in a minute». The last time I was completely ignored as I just stood there in plain view so I just walked out and went to the bakery down the street instead(which btw, has fast, excellent service). As a side note, I’ve been there when the owner is there and the service was excellent. Maybe she needs to do a better job training her staff.

Disgruntled staff and the gluten free bread is mediocre… When they have it. With a new staff this place could go much further.

First of all I am not sure what some of the other reviewers are talking about? Nasty attitudes? Stale Bread? Using religion to lure people in? You have got to be kidding me! To the person who said they are luring people in with religion… do you know your visiting a super Christian Community, religion has always had a strong presence in this community and everyone knows it. If you are anti-religion or do not like to see people«worshiping», perhaps you should spend your summer vacation somewhere else? Now onto the review… Daily bread makes everything from scratch, everything is fresh and made with REAL ingredients. Perhaps some people really just aren’t used to pastries made with natural ingredients, perhaps you should go down the street to the other«bakery»(I use bakery lightly since they don’t bake anything… all brought in) where you can get your pastries full of artificial flavors and preservatives. I don’t mean to sound harsh here but being a local I hate to see other people pass these wonderful places we support, and go to frequently, based on another unhappy review from a tourist who thinks the world revolves around them. and should cater to only their taste buds. They have the most amazing blueberry muffins here, wonderful bread, outstanding sandwiches and a super friendly staff. The only reason I take one star off is because of the croissants, they are not flaky… but maybe I just had them on a bad day, but I will always love Daily Bread!

Was here over the Memorial Day weekend. Had a special — lobster salad roll. It was good, but of course, not a traditional New England lobster roll which I would have enjoyed more. A note of compliment — the staff forgot to make one of my friends’ sandwiches, and offered all of us a free dessert to comp us … which I thought was very nice.

I’ve got quite a few things to say about this establishment, but I will keep it short and simple. First of all, they should not advertise themselves as a «gluten-free» bakery when the only item they sell that does not contain gluten is sliced bread(which was sold out by 10am) and 1 type of cookie. Additionally, the negative attitude from the employees almost drove me out of the shop before I even asked what was available. This place was a total bust!

Surprisingly delicious gluten free baked goods and even some vegan options. I was impressed with the almond thumbprint cookie with organic raspberry preserves

So cute, fun and tasty! The worker/one of the owners was very friendly and nice and was easy going with all of my family’s requests. Gluten free products are some of the best that I have EVER tasted! We ended up getting about 10 cookies for home since we don’t live near them. Sandwiches were great, but a little expensive I think. And check out the day old sale pastry basket!

WOW! You would think something with the word«bread» in their name would actually have good bread! Far from it, sorry to say. bland, stale… very overpriced. Staff seemed a little snappy I dont know if it was the manager or owner, young woman with dark hair seemed to be having a bad day and wasnt hiding it. I also dont like the name«DAILYBREAD». almost felt like they are using their religion to lure people into their food esablishment. And nothing about the attitude of the staff seemed very«christ like» Sad that this spot isnt good, its a great location and its even cute inside.

Lovely little place with great gluten free baked goods. Absolutely fantastic gluten free bread, and the morning glory muffins are phenomenal. Staff was really helpful, and we had a lovely time just sitting outside and enjoying our treats.

This is a very cute little place with friendly staff who clearly care about their business. There is no room to eat inside, but they have tables set up outside and it’s quite nice to sit out there in the morning. Their Arnold Palmer, lobster salad and sandwiches are excellent. My go-to place by the beach now. :)

NOTJUSTFORGLUTENFREELOVERS!!! There are other comments here about their fabulous gluten free products — and my husband can attest to that — but I am not gluten free and I LOVE this place. It is charming, the food is delicious, the people who own it are so nice — we spent almost every morning of our vacation during the last 2 weeks there — we kept coming back! Don’t, miss the Lobster Salad, too!

Delicious gluten-free products AND a very nice and thougtful staff. I have Celiac so «gluten free» has to be actually free of gluten, including gluten from cross contamination. I emailed Angela with lots of nit picky questions about how gf items were prepared and she answered very nicely. GF items are baked first in a clean kitchen and goods are set separately from flour goods. The morning glory muffin was so tasty and had an awesome texture. The regular bread is pretty good too :) Also iced coffee was perfect for a hot day. Highly recommend to anyone gluten free or not.

Go here, now. Best iced coffee for miles, trust me I did a thorough search! Baked goods are delicious, and GLUTENFREE options are excellent! GF morning glory muffin and coffee cake are awesome! Apparently they deliver to the beach too which sadly we didn’t get to take advantage of but brilliant idea! Two sandwiches, arnold palmer, iced coffee and cupcakes next time for sure!!!

OG Daily bread is OK. They are useful because they deliver to the beach but the place just opened and their prices are a bit high for my liking. The sweets are good but the sandwiches aren’t the greatest they have boars head products but still I feel like it wasn’t great. Hopefully it gets better as time goes on
