Walked in to a seat yourself night, after 10 min we got our own menus. After another 10 min of multiple waitresses walking by and not even looking at our table or saying hi I’ll be right back… We got up and left. Horrible customer service, save your time and eat at the place next store, they have a better menu.

Everytime I visit Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach I go to this restaurant. The people that own and operate The Wing and Fish Company in Shallotte own this one, also. Chef House is in charge of both. He is fantastic! He is an award winner! The staff is always quick to help, and they remember us by name. Jess, the manager does a great job, as well as the cute young couple that run the place. The atmosphere is really cool as the view is beautiful of the water through all the windows. Highly recommend.

Everything here is what you would expect. It is just really loud… really loud.
But I love the dining room views and the view.
This is no frills folks. Plastic chairs that don’t match, old tables, etc
This is really a bar atmosphere… exactly what you look for on your beach vacation.
I guess since we live here, it is low on our list.

This is our second trip to ocean isle and we ate here last time and it was great, we had a shrimp burger and nautical nachos and we highly recommend them. This time we had clam chowder and flounder and shrimp and these items were great as well. So if you are staying at ocean isle you definitely need to try them out!

We’ve eaten here for years when it was the Giggling Mackerel. Fortunately for OIFC there is a residual flow of customers coming in who, like me, are hoping that it will still be as good as it was then. For now, it doesn’t even come close. I’ve had better seafood at Captain D’s. The Buffalo shrimp that the Mackerel did so well has been replaced by firecracker shrimp which was mediocre at best. I had the shrimp & grits. It sucked. I could’ve gone to McDonalds and gotten a better meal for a lot less than $ 20. Before, all the shrimp appetizers and dishes were made with the big fresh shrimp. Several people at my table got shrimp dishes and it was all the tiny shrimp that taste like something you’d find in the seafood salad at subway. I’m giving them two stars instead of one because the wait staff were good and the sweet tea was good. I won’t be back.

Our family went here for a night out while on vacation. There were five adults, two kids.
The service was good, but not overwhelmingly excellent. We ordered a few appetizers, bacon wrapped shrimp (good), G Mack bites (excellent), crab dip (very good). I ordered the Electric Lady Cocktail and I was not delicious.
Entrees came… shrimp and grits was excellent t, but super rich. You’ll have leftovers. Grouper burger was good, shrimp burger not so much. Fish tacos were light and delicious.
We will definitely return. Overall a great experience, wonderful atmosphere. The perfect beach dinner.

Went for dinner on a Friday. Got there around 5:45, our party of 11 only had a 30 minute wait. Parking isn’t great, probably since it shares with the restaurant next door.
Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Food review was mixed for our party. The hurricane shrimp, bacon shrimp, and grouper special were delicious but the steak salad and chicken nuggets/​fries left much to be desired. Granted it’s called the Fish Company so…

The food was excellent. We had the crab dip and out was delicious. I had the flounder sandwich and my hubby had the shrimp burger. Delicious.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside because of the heat. Nice atmosphere.

It was fantastic! We ate here for lunch this past Tuesday. Food came out quick and tasted delicious. Highly recommend the quesadilla. I’ve had it with the steak and shrimp, both fabulous.

Had some sort of spicy fried shrimp from the appetizer menu and it was amazing! The Coconut shrimp and Fish and Chips were also so good. I would return for sure.

Under new management Food is pricier than before and not as tasty. Use to order the grouper sandwich which was awesome but not available now. My guest ordered shrimp which was chewy and overcooked.

Great upstairs bar. Fresh seafood. And solid wings. Only complaint is there is no beer on tap. Fix this and it’s 5 stars.

I’ve eaten from this restaurant twice. Once eat-​in and the other carry-​out. The food was incredible both times. The service was so-​so considering the servers are ALL brand new (as is the restaurant) so no one has the processes down pat. I’d go back for the great menu and food.

The worst dining experience of my life. After expressing this to management several times, no compensation whatsoever was offered. Not ready for prime time. I will only be brought back here in chains kicking and screaming. Is there a 0* rating? Stop at Sharky’s on the way in.
