Have eaten here several times over the years, this trip we ordered pizza on our last night since nobody wanted to cook. Was not too thrilled with it. Normally not a big pizza snob but the pizza we got was over cooked. The sauce was also very sweet, too sweet for my taste as I normally like sauce with no sugar added. Service was good though as usual and in the past have always been happy with the sandwiches and other meals there.

I got the Shrimp Taco. Definitely do not get this, if you’re thinking of doing so get the Fish version. This is basically one big taco /small burrito and although I got my shrimp grilled they were slippery and slipping out with each bite. Also they don’t clean their shrimp — they are not butterflied so enjoy eating the delicious vein of poop in every shrimp. Gross. I also got a Pina Colada which was served in a styrofoam cup and was not that great. It was so cold I couldn’t even drink the last 1⁄5 of it(physically it wasnt melting enough to go up the straw). I wouldn’t 1-star this place because it wasn’t terrible, but come on clean the shrimp…

Overpriced and the food is mediocre at best. The blackened mahi was over-cooked and had way too much seasoning. The«grilled» vegetable side was boiled and soggy. None of the items we ordered were flavorful or worth the price. Save your money and go somewhere else… Tourist trap.

This is a wonderful little restaurant. The menu isn’t overwhelming but has some great choices to pick from. You MUST get their hush puppies. They are amazing! I ordered the not so Cajun shrimp. The portion was HUGE and could have been split between two people. At first I thought the prices were very expensive. But, you definitely get what you pay for. It’s an easy walk from the ocean isle inn or about a two minute drive from the resorts here. The server was quick, friendly, and informative. She checked on us continuously. It’s a happy and fun environment. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Love the grilled grouper and salad with lime vinaigrette. Everything is fresh. The view is pretty awesome on the waterway too.

Sharky’s is not an eatery, per se. More of a mental and spiritual destination. Just plain perfect. Sitting on the water, sipping a cool whatever to Parrothead tunes, live frequently, the fare runs the gamut from fresh local seafood to hand-tossed pizza. Chef Jeff aims to please, succeeds admirably. Menu and food photos attached. The place to be in OIB. For sure!

A better Sharky’s! A few years ago, a new manager came onboard and really upgraded Sharky’s. A new menu, better quality food, a better all around food place. Compared to 10 years ago,(yes, Sharky’s has been around awhile), this is a huge improvement. Eat outside and enjoy the view,.

One star is generous. The waiter is rude, unwilling to answer questions, giving vague generalized answers. He does not come to the table before speaking to us but is actually speaking at us from a neighboring table. The bar drink is standard– nothing special. The clam strip appetizer is fried– too chewy, boring and basically we are leaving unimpressed and seeking a good place for dinner and drinks.

We ate at Sharky’s on Saturday, 4÷2÷16. During our visit it was very busy but we found the staff to be very pleasant and attentive, as always. The owner, Ray, was working too, which is always a bonus to see. Our server took our drink orders and returned quickly. She reviewed the specials, answered our questions, and we ordered food. I think from sit down to food delivery the time may have been 15 minutes. That was extremely fast for the crowd. The kitchen had to have been clicking on all cylinders. Our food was hot and fresh. We’ve been coming to Sharky’s for more years than I can count dating back to when it was only a pizza joint. We’ve seen it evolve into a special place where families can sit down to a good meal, or you can grab an ice cold beverage at the separated bar, eat, and catch a game. Don’t miss the outside back porch feel right on the water you can even hold a private event at a large separate room off the bar. The owner, Ray, is a genuinely nice guy. Give this place a shot. The prices are fair and the food is good.

The clam chowder was definitely good and the service was friendly but the vinaigrette for my salad was not good and the pizza my parents got tasted like oregano got accidentally dumped on it. The Shark Bites were good as an appetizer bit the entrees were not that great.

As a homeowner here, Sharky’s is our favorite restaurant on the island. The pizza(the destroyer) is a must try! Great atmosphere, too. I definitely recommend!

I don’t know why this place got a flat three stars. Great location on the tidal creek, friendly staff, good food not badly priced for a beach restaurant. Great fun surf tiki type décor. I’ll be back

Great food! Every time I travel to Ocean Isle I stop here at least once! Last time I tried the shark bites which was the first time for me even having shark and it was amazing. Pros: Great food, awesome fun décor, friendly staff, nice stuff for sale. Cons: Not the fastest service.

Pros: affordable, quick seating and has outdoor waterfront seating or inside seating. Cons: average food and below average service and a lot of flies circling and stalking your dinner plate. I would have enjoyed the experience better if I didn’t have such a bad waitress. She literally dumped our plates on the table and left. She didn’t stop to ask us if we needed ketchup, cocktail sauce, napkins etc. I had to get up and go hunt these things myself. Food was decent. No management present which probably explains the service levels but this is otherwise a good quick place to grab a fast meal.

Nothing overly special in my opinion. Ordered the white pizza and it was average. If you are looking for average but not bad food this is a good spot. Conveniently located right off of the intercostal waterway

Cheap PBR and delicious fried scallops and shrimp. PBR was on special for only $ 2.50 and the fried seafood was some of the best I’ve had. Beautiful views of intracoastal waters while I ate. Would definitely come here again.

Ended up here after my boyfriend and I were driving back to NC from Myrtle Beach looking for a place on the water to eat. As far as food goes, it’s your typical bar and grill. Get the sweet potato fries– they come with a cinnamon butter dipping sauce! This would be a great place during the summer to visit by boat when the weather is nice!

Me and a group of friends visited Sharky’s last weekend during a brief stay on OIB. My friend had been there previously and recommended it as a lively place for the locals and not as touristy as other places. They were fairly crowded on a Saturday night. We decided to sit in the bar area to watch college football. It took a while to get our orders in, and the wait for food was quite long, but they were probably busier than usual. The food was good. I ordered the Terryaki Tuna entrée with rice and veggies. We also split an appetizer of the sharks teeth which is kind of like jalapeño poppers except with crab meat. I thought service was lacking. Like I mentioned we had to wait a while for food, drink orders, checks etc. and the worse part of it was we had to wait for silverware. This is frustrating when you have a nice plate of food in front of you and you can’t eat it!(except with your fingers). Sharky’s is very casual and would make a nice hangout place, but for are probably a few better dining options on OIB if you want good service.
