my dad sent me here once i got to town to get some food for the family.(8 people) ordered the largest box they had and 3 sides. the chicken was great! i loved it. only thing that could have made it better is if 16 piece chicken we ordered can with proportionate sides. sadly it was just a bit on the small side. just enough everyone got one spoon full. other then that i love the food!

Not only the best Buffet on the coast, but for $ 9.99 it’s very reasonably priced. This is always a go to place for me. Fresh food, tasty food, something for everyone. I only wish they had a bigger building because it is always crowded

I grew up in St. Martin and Biloxi. If I had $ 15 in my pocket, I’m going to Hartz. A lot has changed in Oceans Springs but I think they still kept it original. Even though I’m in New Orleans now, every chance I get to visit my hometown, I would try to make a stop here for the buffet.

Mmmmmm. Fried okra, mustard greens, yams, really good fried chicken, EXCELLENT chicken livers, sweet tea. It’s no wonder the south has an obesity problem. This place is freaking delicious. I won’t be back. Not because of bad food or service but because ITS SO DAMN GOOD. it’s gonna take me a week just to work this lunch off.

What can I say, Hartz offer family dining at affordable prices. I’ve been here twice and both I enjoyed the flavor of the fried chicken. The only reason why I dropped one star is because of the canned flavor of the sides. Don’t get me wrong they are filling but still have the rehydrated canned taste. The restaurant is maintained clean and the staff is fast and friendly. Don’t give into KFC or Popeyes and support a great local Chicken buffet where the customer service is as tasty as the chicken.

Always really good chicken. They have fried chicken and baked lemon-​pepper chicken. Also on the buffet are fried catfish, livers, and gizzards.
Sides include salad bar, mashed potatoes with gravy, turnip greens, green beans, corn, etc.
Everything is all you can eat. This includes the soft serve ice cream and other dessert.

the best friend AND baked chicken i have ever had. this place was amazing, every item in the buffet tastes homemade and delicious. and the at just 10 dollars for everything you can eat, including awesome desert and soda is just incredible. i wish they had a place like this in colorado… oh well :(cant believe someone could give this less than 5 stars, p. s the place is always packed, get there early

Awesome food. Great buffet, it has everything from Fried Chicken to Fried Fish, To Collard Greens, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, and Everything. Make sure you take your «Fat Pants» :)

I have been coming to Hartz every time I visit Ocean Springs. I grew up here and little has changed about this restaurant. The chicken is hot, juicy and they have a decent assortment of vegetables, fried and baked chicken, rolls and even ice cream to finish the meal. My buddy Kenny is the owner and he has done a great job.

I used to eat here quite often when I used to live up the street. I love their baked chicken with the lemon pepper flavor as well as their fried fish. As for sides I used to always get the potato salad and the baked beans. The have a good buffet but it’s frequently crowded with family and children so I used to take it to go. Don’t let the kids scare you away since when you order the family meal they serve you the fresh chicken they’ve got behind the counter not the stuff from the buffet. You can also call in your order and they’ll have it ready for you. If you eat at the buffet try going M-​Th to avoid the crowds.

I don’t fry chicken anymore since Hartz has exactly what we want. I crave their chicken and greens! The buffet is clean, tables are clean, just a very nice small business cooking up the best fried chicken on the coast. We have been to the buffet at least 2 times a week and have gotten it to go. They have dessert and an icecream machine that my husband visits every time we go. Great for after church luncheon on Sunday and family night on Tuesdays. DELICIOUS!

I have to say that I have never been to eat the buffet, just have ordered to go. The baked chicken is some of the best baked chicken I have ever had. And the sides, especially the green beans and rolls, are delicious too! Don’t let the kids stop you — it’s worth a try!

Against my better judgement I decided to swing by Hartz since I was craving chicken and as soon as I walked in the door I witnessed the same damn problems from my last visit. Too many unocompanied children running around and getting their hands into everything. Needless to say I turned right around and left, settling for a coney chili dog next door. I’ll never set foot in this place again!
