I used their sister office in North Hollywood to move from the Los Angeles area to Orange County. From the move consultant/estimator, Joe Almeida, to the move coordinator, Becky Grimm, to the actual packers and movers, they were all professional, considerate and effective. Moving is stressful and each made the process easier. Not a single personal item was lost or damaged in transit. Joe gave me a competitive price; Becky called every step of the way to confirm the move was proceeding smoothly; and the packers and movers did an excellent job in a courteous and efficient manner. I would use them again without hesitation for my next move. They delivered as promised and without any hassle.

I recently moved from Southern California to Canada as part of my relocation with my company. I used Allstate Moving because they had responded to my outreach and were fairly communicative early on in the moving process, and partly because they wanted my business. After the initial estimate, things slowly went down hill. Because I was moving out of country there were extra hoops that I had to jump through in order to secure that my belongings would get up to Canada and through Customs safely. To this I was given a «consultant» who would be my point of contact throughout the moving process. I felt relieved knowing I could reach out to a professional who could help guide me along this process. I was sadly mistaken. The consultant(Let’s call her Becky) was unreliable and extremely useless throughout the entire process. The only information she could provide me was an estimated of delivery of 4 days or 20 days. Let’s be honest; that is a pretty big time frame when trying to coordinate a move of everything you own! Once again, Becky could not give me any further estimates until the actual mover was at my residence. Fair enough. When asked where the delivery Truck would go after my pick up; she offered a simple«I do not know». Would the truck head on the road up north? Does it go into storage until Monday? She could not provide me with any information as to where MY belongings would go after pick up. This was extremely unsettling and unnerving. This set the tone for the rest of my interactions with AllState. When it came time to the Movers picking up my belongings, I was surprised to see that Allstate contracted another vendor for labor. This is likely typical for most moving companies, however I was not privy to this prior. «MayFlower» movers showed up and remained professional through out the loading/packing process and showed up on time and packed effectively on their truck. After the loading process MayFlower informed me that my belongings would be there within 1 – 2 business days. Generally this is great, however, our AllState Consultant(Becky) had previously told me no fewer than 4 days, no longer than 20 days. So my estimate of 4 days was now 1 – 2 days and I was not going to be in Canada within 1 – 2 days since that was not our original agreement. Somehow our coordinator was not coordinating with the actual Movers. Obviously the communication between Becky and her hired labor is non existent. Once the movers had left I reached out to Becky to let her know that the estimated time was not what we discussed or agreed to in our contract. I left her a message on a Saturday. I did not hear back from Becky until the following Wednesday; nearly 3 business days later. She said she had left a message with MayFlower for an update on his time frame for delivery and would«call me back as soon as she heard from him.» Sadly, I would not hear back from Becky for an additional 6 days later. At this time, I had the common sense to contact MayFlower directly who at this time offered me more concrete information on timeframe. The day before the delivery, Becky called to let me know that delivery was happening the next day. Thankfully I was already privy to this information having now communicating with MayFlower directly. When asked was time I should plan on meeting MayFlower at Customs, I was met with«Oh I do not know, what did they tell you?». To say the least, I will never use AllState again, nor would I even recommend them.
