This little place produces big flavors! Their menu is small but the portions are generous. Located across the street from the ocean this place is oh so good. We got the pancakes, buccmuff and breakfast burrito. Pancakes were so fluffy and had a homemade flavor. The buccmuff was the perfect sized sandwich. Breakfast burrito was as good as any taco shop! We will definitely be back.

This is such a perfectly placed café. We take the kids to the park, close parking, beach is RIGHTTHERE! The train goes by and and the kids can feed the ducks. Hours of entertainment and the food is awesome!

The staff, the food, and location are amazing. I love their chicken quesadilla, and grabbing a coffee. The only weird thing is you order your coffee separate at the stand next to it, but it’s things like that which make small businesses like this unique and great to coming back to. I wish this place was open longer during the day. it’s so good! And watch out for the squirrels in the grass area. They’ll grab your food if you leave it unattended!

Groovy little place with organic farm to table food at a good price. You can’t beat the view overlooking the ocean(only outdoor seating). Delicious food. Would’ve been 5 stars if music wasn’t so loud. Cool place to grab a coffee, too.

I had the pleasure of grabbing coffee and breakfast here and I honestly can’t say enough good things. The coffee is fresh and very flavorful and made to order. The breakfast menu is very easy to use since it’s just a chalk board but it’s got great options! I had the burrito with bacon and ham(tip) they don’t charge more if you get multiple meats. The salsa they give with it extremely flavorful! I can’t wait to get back here for breakfast again

Such a cute fun coffee shop… it is across the beach. It has different coffee and breakfast options. All are delish and simple. Def recommend if you’re taking a nice walk around this coffee shop area. I think they have odd hours– as in only open early AM. Wish they were open later.

I really enjoyed the breakfast burritos here and to top it off I got to eat outside with a great view of the beach. I cannot give 5 stars because they need to work on there café espresso drinks. If they improve with that they will be a knock out in my book. Do check it out for great food and scenery.

Good beach café. Friendly service. Made it there past breakfast but too small to keep the eggs going into lunch. Settled for two quesadillas. Chicken and a Carne Asada. Side of Guac and sour crème. Chicken was good. Nice chunks of protein. Carne was a bit to wet. Decent flavor. Great outdoor views. In fact we had to share with our little squirrel friends.

Awesome little spot to grab a beach view breakfast. Just decided to try it out for the first time. They have a limited menu, but that isn’t a bad thing. Food is really good and I was impressed. Service was very good and friendly. Also love the dog friendly patio.

Friendly staff, good location next to buccaneer beach, good food… What else can you ask for? I had the turkey patty with the fried egg and soy gravy over a bed of rice and it was an amazing protein bomb. Highly recommended!

Great breakfast taco! Don’t need the potatoes unless you have a big appetite! But they were good to try. Also my mom got the Bucc Muff said it was pretty good. Loved sitting across from the ocean! Staff was very friendly!

Great place next to the beach. I went there with my in-laws and husband expecting a Hot dog cart — cheesy kind of tourists place since it had such an awesome location. This place surpassed my expectations! The food was so amazing! I had the Avo toast which was piled high on a slice of sourdough bread with delicious balsamic vinegar. My in-laws got the breakfast burrito which ended up being way too much for them to eat! It is a great place though. I highly recommend it.

This is my favorite breakfast place! Especially if you’re looking for burritos! I always get the bacon burrito with guac and sour cream. Ask for the sauce it’s amazing! The girls are always nice and upbeat. It’s a nice outdoor spot with oceanview! If you’re there by 1030 or later expect a wait, it can get busy quick! Oh the buc muff is good too!

Love love love this place. Fabulous pancakes, breakfast burritos. Love their coffee. Service is great. Staff are friendly, they help me to a table when my hands are full with my two dogs wanting their breakfast. Lol The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. Couldn’t get any better.

A thousand stars. We were looking for a place to eat breakfast with a view. Found this place on Unilocal and when we got there, we though we had the wrong address. Nope! It’s literally just a little shack. In fact, from the back it just looks like a spot for public restrooms for the beach. Well, thank you, Unilocal! This place was absolutely AMAZING. The pancakes were delicious and definitely had that delicious made-from-scratch taste. My boyfriend had an equally delicious breakfast burrito. And the Buccaneer Brew cart??? Wow… We had some peanut butter/chocolate/banana creation(something monkey??) and it was freaking ridiculous. Technically my boyfriend ordered it but it was so good I pretty much stole the whole thing. Yum. Best of all, this place is right off the beach. Doesn’t get much better.

I’m a huge fan of this place. Not only because of the IDEAL location, but also because the food is GOOD and the service is always great and friendly. I’ve tried probably 75% of their menu and never encountered anything I didn’t like. They recently switched chefs and the food is still pretty great. My favorite? Their breakfast burritos. They are ginormous and I always have to make a co-worker split it with me. Eggs. Potatoes. Cheese. Bacon. None of those ingredients are skimped over either. One thing I haven’t tried is their coffee cart. One day I will! If you’re wanting a beach to set up camp, you should chose it so you’re next to this place. Nothing better than realizing you’re hungry and seeing a café behind you, ready to serve delicious food.

This is just what my sleepy morning in North County needed. Having traveled to the area for business and wanting 1) some dang peace and quiet, 2) a view of the water and 3) breakfast burritos, this was an easy find using the Unilocal app. My friends, you did not lead me astray. The breakfast menu is small but I wouldn’t say limited. I mean, they had things that WEREN’T breakfast burritos, if you’re some kind of weirdo and don’t like the best morning meal invented. Since I’m not, I opted to get my burrito with bacon(though ham and sausage were other options) and added avocado. It comes with home fries, egg and cojita cheese. It was well prepared, tasted fresh and made me happy. The burrito and a bottle of water came to somewhere near $ 9. Not unreasonable, considering its hefty size and just delightful environment. As would be expected, all seating is outside where you can take advantage of Southern California’s sun, breeze and general laid back amazingness. It’s picnic tables, so you might end up sharing with a stranger, but odds are they’re good people. There’s somewhat a view of the beach, but it’s right off of a creek(which feels more like a drainage ditch), so that dampers the view a touch. It’s also off a park, so if you have kiddos, that’s a bonus. The staff was super friendly, and the woman at the counter gave me recommendations for other beaches to visit, which I fully intend to do today after cranking out a bit of work. I can’t say that I would recommend a tourist go out of their way to visit Buccaneer Café, but if you’re a local and have this as your go-to breakfast spot, you are a lucky one indeed.
