Pizza is by far my favorite food, so I was eager to try a new pizza place after moving to Oceanside just a few weeks ago. My husband and I walk in at 5:00 and the place is empty, which was to be expected, we were eating a little early. The girl behind the counter was really nice and she showed us where the menus were on the counter. We looked and we both spotted the buffalo chicken pizza. However, if you want to order by the slice you can only have what is behind the glass counter… A bunch of unlabeled pizzas. So I picked two different pieces to have a variety and my husband chose two of the same. She pulled them out to heat them up. I got the two slices and a drink deal and he got the two slices and a beer deal. All came to about $ 15, not bad. My drink was pretty tiny, his beer was a good size though. I needed to use the restroom. The bathroom was disgusting! Urine all over the seat, I used the last of the toilet paper there, and it smelled horrible, I just about lost my appetite. The pizza was already out when I got back, and it was underwhelming. The crust was pretty dry and flavorless, the sauce and cheese were very pasty. My husband got sick soon after we got home and my stomach felt upset that evening. We won’t be going back any time soon.

Great pizza, great prices, casual dinning experience. 2 tvs, radio as well. Small patio dinning area right on the pch. 11 beers on tap. We’ve lived here for a year, wish we found this place when we first moved here. New York style, I recommend folding slices in half to eat.

Best pizza I’ve EVER had, after the first time we just couldn’t stop coming back for more. The toppings are super fresh, and the crust is really tasty too. The pizzas are super thin crust, and there’s some really tasty ingredients on these pizzas. Plus the delivery fee is only $ 1! However they only deliver within 3 miles. There’s also great beer on tap, and they offer a 2 slices + soda deal for ~$ 6 and with beer instead for $ 9! Which is a decent price for some delicious pizza. This is my new favorite pizza, and i love that you can place a delivery order straight from Unilocal!Today’s the 3rd time I’ll be ordering a pizza from them through Unilocal! I was wary the first time I ordered from them because it’s cheaper to order from a big chain, but the quality more than makes up for it, and the largest size is bigger than what you get from the other chains. I think as long as this place is close enough to deliver, I will never order from a big chain pizza place again!

You are better off hungry than eating at the new and unimproved Carmines. Gone are the days of authentic home made pizzas. Now you’ll find the worst pizza I’ve ever seen, which tastes like it came from the cafeteria in the hospital it may send you to. Take it from me, that plastic cheese will not take kindly to your stomach. Eat here at your own risk

BURNED crust. Awful tasting, no sauce, nasty BBQ sauce added without customer approval. Crust was stale and dry. Place was filthy — yuck!

Worst pizza I’ve ever had and it took FOREVER to arrive. Like more than 30 minutes for one pizza. Very bland crust that was floppy and soggy. The Cesar salad was straight from a bag. It’s so sad because Carmine’s used to be great and very cute inside, now the walls are bare and the food is lackluster. Never again!

The food is decent but I ordered delivery recently with a few issues… The driver didn’t bring any change for a cash delivery — not even a nominal amount. I understand safety concerns but let me know before I complete the order that this is the expectation. I spent 3 $ on a fountain drink and they brought me the smallest cup in the store. Weak.

Ordered delivery through Eat24 the evening after Ironman Oceanside because we were too exhausted to go out and celebrate. I was craving a salad and pasta so I was happy to find a local place that delivers(not many in the area) with a low delivery fee and reasonably priced food! Order the meatball pasta, which was really delicious! Sauce wasn’t overwhelming and the meatballs were good. Hubby enjoyed the wings and the fact they aren’t sauced or breaded. The spinach salad was okay… Just a bed of spinach and some fresh mushrooms and crumbled cheese. Overall, good food, especially for delivery. Took over an hour, but we figured they were super busy due to the race weekend. The young man who delivered our food was very apologetic, which was nice to hear.

Carmines is awesome. They have the best pizza in the downtown Oceanside area. They are very reasonably priced and the pizza is excellent. I just go for the pizza so I can’t speak on any other menu items but if their pizza is any indication then I am sure they are delicious. Santinos used to be my go to pizza joint but after they closed down I decided to give Carmines a try and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. They provide excellent customer service all the time. Normally homeboy with the glasses is who helps me out and he is always great and I feel bad I can’t remember his name but tonight Raquel and Andrew went above and beyond and so I decided I needed to let the people who don’t already know about Carmines that they are really missing out. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

I rode from vista down to the beach in the mood for pizza we saw this place. Looked cute like a mom and pop pizza place. The pizzas they had were pre-made behind a glass display and you chose 2 slices and a drink for $ 5.98. I was expecting them to be yummy since little pizza joints like this usually are. But the cheese did not taste like real mozzarella at all. It was kind of creamy and melted, didnt have the stretchy consistency pizza usually does. The dough also had no flavor like eating a slice of white bread. Good service, good price, but not too great on the flavors or cheese.

This was our first time here. The reviews are what brought us. They have a really good deal of 2 pizzas with a soda $ 5.95 or a beer for $ 8.95. But we starved ourselves all day for Pizza night so we got an 18″ Rocky pizza which was fantastic. Ham, pepperoni, sausage, and ricotta. It was delicious. The sauce is really good here. Sweet and flavorful. The crust was good also but could have used a little more salt or Parmesan. But all in all, really good pizza. We devoured it. We’ve just started to try local pizza spots here in Oceanside, so I can only really compare it to one other place, Brooklyn Boyz. Carmine’s taste better all around. Looks can be deceiving. The place may look empty but there were plenty of people coming in and out to pick up orders.

Tonight I brought 10 friends in for dinner. Most of my friends ordered the 2 pieces of pizza with a beer for $ 8.95. Me, I ordered the pasta with meatballs for $ 11.00, beer eztra. When the nice waitress came with my order I was surprised What I thought was sphagetti with meatball was elbow macaroni with chopped up what looked liked meatballs. It was far from what I ordered. I doubt that I’ll bring my friends there again since no one was that satisfied with their food.

First off, hot wings(non-breaded) here are the best in town. smoky, sweet, with just enough heat. Pizza here is fresh and flavorful. Okay, so its not a true NY style pizza(I won’t get into the details).but they make a tasty, filling, thin crust pie here. Garlic knots are tasty too, ask for them since they’re not on the menu. My only complaint is their pesto sauce is skippable. Dining room is kept clean, and has a warm feel with the exposed brick, but it’s small, and feels a bit cavernous without windows. Service is always friendly. Wait times are average. Pricing is okay. Only thing I ask… .Bring back that amazing«Pi» pizza with the gorgonzola cheese. It was delicious and my favorite pie on your menu.

They are very nice here At Carmine’s and the food is great. It’s not fancy at all but it’s a friendly vibe and they make u feel welcome. We had the fantastic pulled pork pizza and the homemade pasta w meatballs. We started w a Caesar salad. It was very small but very good. Service was fast and easy and they are all really nice people that work here. I think it’s a great Italian restaurant and quite affordable… if you don’t mind paper plates and plastic forks and Fox News on the Telly, you would probably dig Carmine’s. The free cheesecake they gave us was pretty awesome too!

We came here because the exterior was so inviting. Parked and walked over here to find that it was empty at 7pm. A guy with glasses greeted us and said that he didn’t see anyone outside so he didn’t see us coming. He also asked if i was a news anchor since I was in my work attire. I guess I could be since I got my first degree in Journalism, but no. We wanted to order subs, but no subs here. My husband got two slices of pizzas, wings and I got a meatball«panini» but it was more of a sub. What? Since we had the place to ourselves, there were lots of selections for seating. Our food came out and while we were starving, our food was ok. I wasn’t impressed with anything. The meatball panini was more of a sub and the bread wasn’t really fresh. The wings were ok, you had to dip it in hot sauce separately. I didn’t try the pizzas, but my husband got the pepperoni and the white pizza and both were just ok. $ 22 worth of food, for just ok. I was rather upset.

Excellent veggie pizza and manicotti. The toppings for the pizza were gourmet — sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, basil and more. Picked up our order. The restaurant was clean and well appointed with a very cool exposed brick wall. Word to the wise– the menu on Unilocal needs to be updated. They have a different menu now.

I Unilocaled Carmine’s on our way into Oceanside. With a four star rating and empty stomachs it got our approval to head there for lunch. Service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant was clean and organized. However I just wasn’t a fan of the pizza, the center was so thin half the slice would drop off just moving it from the pan onto my plate. In pictures on Unilocal I see fresh herbs being used on everyone’s pizza. I naturally expected fresh basil on our margherita pizza, however ours was topped with dried basil. Other Unilocalers were spot on about the cheese, ooey gooey cheesiness happening on these pizzas. I definitely enjoyed the cheesiness and the crust of the pizza. Everything else fell short from the flavor, the dough, and the toppings.

I don’t understand why this place got such high reviews. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but I don’t like to judge a book by its cover. I’ve always wanted to try it because I love pizza and the reviews are pretty good. So one late night just recently I stopped by for a slice of the Hawaiian and it wasn’t the best I ever had. It seemed weird that they had a whole slice of ham on the pizza. I was expecting the pizza to blow me away but it didn’t but the inside is pretty decent. It looks way better then the outside and I’m glad I came in because now I know where to come for some alright pizza. I think Santino’s and Zig Zag’s pizza is much better but that’s my opinion.
