Great food! I am having the Honey Mustard Chicken slice tonight and it’s out of this world ! They also, make a great Baked Ziti Pizza. Their Seafood Fra Diavolo is excellent, also and Tartufo for dessert is a must! The only dishes I haven’t liked so far, is the Sausage and Pepper hero. I find it to be a little too light on the sausage. I also, don’t like that the veggie slice pizza is a diet slice on whole wheat. It should be on regular pizza dough. I gave it five stars because the staff is so nice that if you have a problem they try their best to fix it.

I was driving in Oceanside with my family and we wanted to grab a quick lunch. I’m really not familiar with the area at all so I looked up pizza places on Unilocal in Oceanside. Many came up, but I saw that D’cocco’s had excellent reviews and based on their page we decided to go in. It was kind of quiet because we went at a strange time. We went in around 3 between lunch and dinner. All employees were extremely friendly and helpful. It seemed that they were preparing for dinner because they had pies and rolls coming out of the oven. I shared a Marinara slice and this other slice with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes on top. They were both amazing!!! Absolutely loved both slices. Definitely recommend the pizza here! I’m sure the entrees/sit down menu is excellent and I’ll have to come back and try.

Always satisfied with D’Cocco’s. Eat in or delivery. Tonight(Super Bowl) i called another place for wings because a friend suggested it. They were out of wings! Called D’Cocco’s and they were prepared for the big game! Dozen buffalo dozen Thai. Delicious. One thing, why do you cut up the celery into bite size? Do it the normal way. And throw in the carrots too!

Not a bad pizzeria I would come again. The organic desserts packs suck. The customer service sucks the owner was just talking to his buddies add the people were coming in. Not greeting anyone. But the pizza is good I guess the customer service can drop.

My wife and I went for lunch to DCoccos using a local flavor certificate. We ordered a meatball with spaghetti lunch special and a eggplant parm dinner. The two dishes were good but the was little value in the full priced eggplant parm dinner which was 14.00. The spaghetti with meatball lunch for 6.00 was an good value. Service was just the delivery of the food to our table since you had to go to the counter in advance to order your food. The price to value ratio is around average for dinner and above average for lunch for this typo of restaurant. All in all this was a good experience and I will be returning in the near future.

This is my favorite Italian takeout hands down. We have been ordering for way over a decade. The traditional style Italian pizzeria restaurant offers a wide variety of choices. I love the way they deliver their heroes in a cardboard container that keeps the bread crisp and not soggy. Also comes piping hot. A home style sauce, it tastes like it came from someones kitchen. The Italian fiesta can easily feed two to three people and it’s under $ 20, includes 2 jumbo fried shrimp, two to three pieces of chicken cutlet, stuffed shells and ravioli, two of each over sauce and mozzarella cheese. Their ala vodka doesn’t disappoint, if you are looking for high end service and fancy food this is not your spot, if you want a hearty home cooked style meal or good pizza check out this place!!!

I was really excited to try this place after the reviews and pictures. I am writing this review in real time so let me say that I agree with some of the other reviewers that said the staff was inattentive. Pizza places can be like that, and I noticed the dude was super friendly to locals, but I did not feel so welcomed my first time here. Also, the food in the case does not look too fresh, which is a bummer because I drove from East Rockaway to try this place based on the photos of delicious hot fresh pizza in a well maintained display. I ordered a bunch of slices, a salad, and a shrimp parmigiana hero. The hero was solid. The bread was nicely toasted, and stuffed with juicy fried shrimp and cheese topped with a perfect amount of marinara sauce; great acid and salt. The plain slice was good not great, solid but not worth the drive from Easy Rockaway. The a la vodka slice, however, was! Drive here and eat this slice. It’s super thin, crunchy in spots but chewy in others. The a la vodka sauce is super rich — get a whole pie! My wife said the salad was good, nice dressing and included marinated mushrooms(not advertised) which she really enjoyed. I’d say if you live in Island Park your lucky to have this place. If you don’t live in IP, and find yourself on your way to or from the beach, stop by; at least for the vodka slice.

Watch out. Came for dinner and sat in the back, which is meant to be a sit-down area. Long story short, the service and the food was bad… I ordered the stuffed shrimp and to my surprise, it tasted like a clove of garlic. That’s only expected, considering the amount of garlic that was VISIBLE at the top of plate, take a look for yourself. I also added a Cesar salad to my meal for 3 dollars. Three dollars wasted more like it. That had to be the most heavily drenched salad I’ve ever come across. I could have added a whole serving of lettuce to this salad and it might still be overdressed. Last but not least I payed 20 $ for this disgusting dish. The waitress didn’t seat us, bring us menus, or silverware but we let that slide. She tossed our bread onto the table with no regard and we could barley get her attention to tell her we were in need of napkins. Presentation of the food was also disappointing, sorry I didn’t include a picture you might vomit.(woah I’m getting into this review) Get with it D’Coccos, your cooks have less skill than a cardboard box. Good for: people who enjoy low quality cafeteria style Italian Bad for: anyone with a working taste pallet

Was in the area on business and looking for a Long Island type pizzeria/Italian restaurant. Found one in the TJ Maxx plaza up the street but the line was out the door. Came in here and saw it next to the Stop and Shop. Went in, was greeted by what seemed to be the owner and was given choice of tables. Given a breadbasket full of piping hot garlic knots and a baguette or sub roll warmed and sliced. Garlic knots were great. Bread was decent Got baked clams for a starter. Very tasty. Ordered Ziti a la Vodka with chicken for a main. Large bowl with lots of chicken. Delicious Service was prompt and friendly On way out, owner went out of his way to say thanks. Did see some bar pies, looked great

I used to eat here. The food was ok, nothing special about it. I could take it or leave it. My beef is with the owner. I’ll never forget, it was right after Hurricane Sandy hit. We were all trying to clean up our homes. We spent hours ripping up wet carpets and cleaning etc. No Food, anywhere. Was surprised to see D’Coccos open. I went in with my father and my girlfriend after a long day of cleaning out. They were selling these personal pan-type pizzas only. Totally understandable. However, those small round pizzas were PAPERTHIN, I mean so thin folks, that the sauce in the middle was seeping through the dough to the paper plate below… of the same width. I am not exaggerating. He had the nerve to charge desperate locals $ 8 each. As hungry as I was, I looked at it and looked at him and said«no way» and walked out and took my father and girlfriend with me. We stood outside thinking of where else we can go eat. The owner(I don’t know his name, some salt and pepper haired big middle-aged pisan), walks out, gets in my face and says«I’m not price gouging! This is what I normally charge for that!» I looked at him and told him«well then, if THAT’S what you’ve been selling for $ 8 each all along… you’ve been ripping people off for years». He got so pissed and just went inside. I don’t care how«ok» that food was, the owner did a great job of leaving a bad taste in my mouth to the point that I’ll never give him business there again.

Horrible attitudes and crummy food. Stay away. The pizza man put my sicillian slice on the paper plate so carelessly that it flipped over. When he turned it right side up, all the cheese slid off it. He says, «ok?» Well no, it wasn’t ok, and I asked for another slice. Another even more surly fellow agreed, but was very nasty about it, and actually threw it on the counter at me. Why are you even in business if you treat customers this way? I will never set foot in this dump again. Lia’s is much better.

4 dollars for a slice is nonsense. Just to have some chicken on it. Keynote on «some» Tried to order other things but kept walking away from me behind counter. Not coming here again.

Love this place great variety. The food is always fresh and the service is great. They go out of their way to accommodate you. I’ve had the Sicilian and regular and a variety of all of the special slices and all were very good. Opt for this place over pizzaiola up the street. They value their customers at dcocos and the food is just as good(and not overpriced)

I hate to post a negative review before I even tasted the Pizza I ordered for delivery but After noticing I was overcharged, I asked them to correct the situation. the guy on the phone said there is nothing he could do. Very unprofessional! I raised the stars for the Pizza now that I tasted it. Pizza was good. Staff should be retrained on how to handle issues like above

Not a good experience at all. Guy behind counter was rude and unprofessional. Pizza was ok, but the guy behind the counter kept walking away from me as I was ordering. Then he was yelling and cursing and acting hyped up. He threw a rag at a worker to clean up. It landed on the floor. She then proceeded to wipe our table with it. Won’t be back.
