All the essentials. Good bed, microwave, refrigerator, working AC, wifi and working shower. No frills. I like the receptionist in the front, she was very nice and courteous. The place is about 1 mile from Oceanside pier. Also near a lot of food places. If you’re picky, move on to the next place. If you’re just looking for the bare basics, this will do.

If you are out of options for accomodations in O-side, then this place is OK. Should you be a high maintainance type and like your bed turned down, drive right on by. Actually speaking of beds, I didn’t dare put the quilt over me… I threw it right off before I crashed because it looks right out of Salvation Army. Don’t look down at the carpet; you won’t want to take your shoes off. It’s a fixer-upper hotel. Oh, sorry… it’s actually a five star place: 1. It has a bed 2. It sorta has air conditioning 3. It has a TV 4. It has a fridge 5. It has a microwave I do have a compliment… They let me have the room rather early in the day… so it was a day and a half stay. That’s why I gave it an extra star.

The lady who was answering the phone and working in the front desk didn’t know english very well. This was not a problem on its own but it became a problem when she wouldn’t understand the question and she would just say a random«thank you» or «ok» and when I tried to repeat the question slower for her to understand, she would rudely hang up on me. When I pointed out to her politely that it is not nice to hang up on people while they are speaking without understanding or answering their questions, as you should in order to give a correct costumer service, she took the signing paper from my hand with a dramatic anger and very rudely said we don’t have a room for you anymore :-O I don’t think this perceived rudeness was because of her not knowing english properly or being from another culture; she is just a rude lady who does not know what the proper consumer service means!

Overall: Convenient, relatively cheap, surprisingly comfortable and very clean for the low price. Nothing elaborate, but certainly nice enough for my circumstances. Our room was definitely small, but it included a decent television and a huge fan(yes!), as well as enough outlets for charging electronic devices. The woman working in the office had a little trouble communicating with us, but she was very polite. The shower in our bathroom was not exactly functional and it leaked profusely when it was turned on, but I was only staying in the room overnight so that was not really a concern for me. I would definitely stay here again and I recommend it to anyone in need of an inexpensive(and cockroach-FREE) place to crash for a night or so while you’re in the area.

This place is really a hidden gem! Every time I’ve stayed here we ended up in suite 14, which has a seperate bedroom and a ton of space. It’s super close to everything and they will cut you a deal. They are super negotiable on their rates. Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly. Also free parking & free wifi. && paid $ 90 to check in early for 3 people at 6 am Saturday morning to stay through Sunday. First time I came here there were 4 of us on a weekday and we paid maybe $ 80 for the same suite.
