The dryest most over cooked shrimp lo mein I have ever had the noodles were rubbery and tasteless and it was very expensive

We have been to this restaurant numerous times. However the last visit we got there at 9:30pm and they told us that we need to order all you can eat right away because the kitchen is closing. The website states that they are open till 11:00pm. How can one possibly order everything at one time. We proceeded to leave because we did not want to rush our dinner. The waiter then grabbed our menus in a very rough way. The staff is rude and disrespectful to the patrons. They need us, we don’t need them. Within 1 – 2 miles there are at least 4 all you can eat sushi restaurants. I highly recommend Yings about ½ a mile away on long beach road. They treat their patrons with respect and with a smile. Hoo King is not a place to go if you want a late night relaxing dinner.

Japanese food just the way you want it! The lunch special including soup, salad and bento box, was reasonably priced for plenty of food. I had perfect shrimp tempura, a California roll, homemade, tasty dumplings and rice(plus tea and fun crispy noodles.) We will be back, for sure. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, too.

This place is great. Love the all you can eat options for lunch or dinner, and the service is terrific. Everything is so fresh. The noodles. The soups. I can tell them to make me anything from this big menu of choices, and unlike a normal buffet it’s made just for me. What’s not to love?

We dined in about 4pm on Christmas Day and again, I have to say that this restaurant is really average. Food was fine, service was fine, atmosphere was ok but nothing special. I asked them to wrap up my meal and was surprised to find that the brown sauce for my egg foo young was not included. They have no trouble packing it for takeout so I was definitely disappointed the next day.

Now that the Palace of Wong has closed its doors. This is the only place to go and sit down for good Asian food.

After a horrendous meal at a so called rib joint in Massapequa Park, my wife and I decided we needed comfort food from two of our more favorite restaurants two nights in a row in an effort to try and eradicate from our memory and taste buds the«meals» [read that as «torture”] at that rib joint. We ordered from the all you can eat menu, my wife had her sushi and I the Chinese food. For appetizers we had scallion pancakes, boneless ribs, egg rolls, fried dumplings, and egg drop soup with wontons. Great, just great. The sushi were fresh and firm. I had General Tsao’s shrimp; nice tangy kick to the sauce without being too spicy. We finished it off with ice cream desserts.

Delicious and standard Asian buffet price. Sushi is delicious and VERY rarely is there bad fish. We go often enough their staff knows my order by heart. Tea is delicious and complimentary and service is good unless it’s packed. Avoid the weekends of you want to have a quiet experience!

Although $ 9.99, All-You-Can-Eat lunch seems like an expensive lunch price, it is worth it when you know your food is freshly prepared, compared to other AYCE restaurants, where the food sits in steam trays all day long, losing flavor, color, crunch and heat. The lunch menu is not huge, the food is not exotic or different from any other Chinese/Japanese/Thai/Sushi place, but it IS made to order, the surroundings are relaxing, the service is not rushed. I can live with that $ 9.99, just for these reasons.

This place WAS pretty good. New owners took over and the food is very bad. The last time we ate there my wife and I both did not feel good. This WAS our main take out Chinese restaurant – WEWILLNEVERRETURN!

Hoo King is a restaurant in Oceanside that serves Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine. My friends and I went after work recently for the all you can eat $ 17.99 dinner. They give you forms to fill out and you decide what you want. The salad and soup offered first do fill you up so do not over order the sushi since you have to finish what you order in the restaurant-you cannot take anything home with you. The sushi is fresh and prepared in a timely manner. The wait staff Is pleasant. I would recommend and return.

I visit here fairly often, around 5 times a month, and the food is usually solid. It’s not knock-you-out so delicious but it’s pretty dang yummy. They have multiple options on their menu, ranging from Chinese to Japanese to Thai. They recently put in extra booths which it nice, it’s a fairly large restaurant with ample parking in the Chase Bank parking lot. –Food– They’re Chinese food is very good, standard Chinese restaurant food. I had the chicken teriyaki once, and it was not very good– so I avoid the Japanese side. But I LOVE their Thai food. It’s very yummy with just enough kick. Although it’s generic, they’re Pad Thai is very, very good. They also offer sushi which I haven’t eaten, but I don’t really see myself eating it from here, personally. –Service– The service is always very good! The ladies are sweet and attentive. My water cup is never empty and they always offer extra noodles for my duck sauce– I appreciate that! Basically, a good stable Chinese restaurant.

Let me start by saying their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I went there with my girlfriend and her family for a nice night out after hearing them say the place was pretty good for Asian cuisine. My girlfriend had ordered a sushi platter, which smelled fishy as soon as it was set on the table(anyone who eats sushi knows it should not smell like fish if it is fresh), in addition it did not taste right either. When this was brought to the managers attention to see if they could replace the meal or swap it out for another item the manager replied with, «We already cut the fish and cannot re-serve it so we have to charge yo for the full amount» This statement alone raises flags about how this restaurant conducts business 1) if the customer complains, first of all apologize, 2) if food is being sent back why on earth would you re-serve it to another customer 3) why would you not work with the customer to reach a resolution. Based on this experience I will never return there and neither will others that I know as well. Oh, and the other food was average at best, do not waste your time, money, or breathe on this place.
