This is one of the best finds in all of San Diego. Susi at Shear F/​X is a genius when it comes to color. My hair looks so natural and people have a hard time guessing my age because my hair does not look processed. She also starting cutting my hair to let the natural curl out and now instead of being bulky, my hair is fun! I look forward to my appointment and have a great time whenever I go. Their prices are reasonable and Susi will make sure you look your best. I highly recommend Shear F/​X.

My hair is curly, thick, wiry and unruly. I have to have it in long-​layers because otherwise it would look like a mop. I was referred to Lydia Humphrey by a friend, and although I live kind of far, I don’t mind driving all the way to Shear F/​X. I have had so many bad hair cuts, and my hair takes a long time to grow, so I am very thankful to have found Lydia.
My fiancée on the other hand, has baby-​fine hair, and Lydia always cuts his hair the way he likes, including carefully trimming his unruly mustache. Lydia is one of these people who shows true interest in you as a person. I always walk out of there, feeling like «new». Lydia’s number is: 760−622−8003.

Sheer fx is a outstanding place, Susi took my messy hair and shaped it into a nice hair do. Susi is sweet and caring and it shows in her work.

I walked into Shear F/​X with my roommate without an appointment and we were able to get in on a Saturday afternoon without a problem. Not to say it wasn’t busy, but they had a lot of girls in there working. As someone who has had too many bad haircuts in their lifetime, I am always skeptical walking into a new place. Jessica Crooks took care of my wavy mess, and I am in love with my new hairdo. I will say Jessica was less than chatty, but the rest of the girls in there seemed very friendly and sociable. Not to mention for the wash, cut and style it was only $ 25! How can you beat that? I definitely plan on going back.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Susi at Shear F/​X since high school. At first, I just went there because it was my mom’s salon (and really the only one I could afford), but over the years I have come to appreciate how lucky I am.
Susi is amazing; one of the sweetest women ever. She always remembers me and asks how my mom and sister (who also goes there when she’s home from college) are doing, and updates me on her own kids.
I usually just get a trim and some layering at the bottom, but in a moment of insanity a couple months ago, I decided to chop off my almost-​waist-​length hair. I pictured myself driving home, tears pouring down my cheeks as I sobbed «whyyy?»
This did not come to pass. Susi gave me perfect shoulder-​length cut, and I’ve never looked back. I really couldn’t be happier, and would give more stars if I could!
