There are a plethora of coffee shops around, but this one has something special. The atmosphere is very relaxing and it’s outdoors, so they let me bring my pup, which of course makes me stop in regularly. The succulents are everywhere, so you can break out your camera since they lend to the most beautiful backgrounds in photos or turn off your phone and enjoy the tranquility!

This café is adorable, relaxing, and just a small walk away from the beach. As you walk in, you instantly feel a refreshing vibe being surrounded by such cute succulents and the sound of streaming water. It’s lovely. So why the 3 stars? Service and mediocre drink. I read so many amazing reviews, and I knew that I had to stop by during my trip to Oceanside. I was so excited to take my sister and friend along with me. After I made my order, I was to pay with my card. I have a chip in my card so I insert my card rather than slide it. So when my server told me to put in my pin, I accidentally removed my card. Well, that changed the entire ambience. He got upset with me. I apologized twice but he made no comment. He simply took my card from my hand and inserted the card with force. Maybe he was stressed, having a bad day… I can understand. But he made no intention of making me feel welcome at all. He never smiled nor acknowledged the fact that I apologized. And to make matters worse, the debit card machine was acting up! I was by the register a good 10 – 15 minutes. There were no seats when we first arrived, but by the time I finally got to pay, it was pretty empty. I checked my bank account to make sure I was only charged once, and then I see 3 charges from Succulent Café! I was just so done at that point. Luckily, it was resolved within a matter of minutes. So then we waited around another 10 minutes for our drinks. My sister got the Blood Orange Tea, my friend got the Iced White Mocha, and I got the Sea Salt Caramel. Mine was labeled as «Davy Jones,» so I had to make sure it was the one I actually asked for, because it did not taste like caramel at all. Supposedly, it was, so I just drank it. Nothing special though. I had really high hopes for this popular, charming locale, but I left disappointed. We still tried to make the best of it and have a good time, but I couldn’t ignore the stressful incident I endured. Maybe I’ll visit again in the future and hope to have a better experience, as many people seem to have.

This place is as charming and beautiful as can be! I recently moved to Oceanside and this is going to be my hang out place! Looking at all of the succulents is exquisite! I’m going to try the lavender mocha next time!

Love this wee Treasure, very relaxing and full of succulent plants which you can buy! I love my tea in china cups, so only 4 stars for serving in paper cups. But still a lovely place to chill and relax while drinking your fav beverage.

This place is the cutest place ever! I love it so much and the coffee is just as great as the place. I had the tuxedo mocha. Its not too sweet which was my initial fear before ordering it. Seems like the baristas have mastered this drink. SOGOOD and best lighting.

Okay so I am completely obsessed with this place. This place is heaven on earth. I’m from Seattle. I would have thought we would have a cute little outdoor café filled with succulents since we are extremely green there. But nope. This café is peaceful, beautiful and spacious. The staff is very friendly and their dirty chai(with soy) is probably the best I ever had.

This is my favorite coffee shop to go to whenever I am in California!!! I love looking at all the cacti and the lovely scenery while enjoying my almond milk tuxedo mocha! My lattes are always delicious along with the red velvet muffin I ordered!

Succulent Café is just one of those many place that instagram has suckered me into going to: p Ever since I saw some pictures of this place several months ago, I have been dying to check it out! I mean, succulents AND Coffee?! Those are like two of my favorite things! Anyways, so I have been waiting for an excuse to be in the area so that I could finally see this place with my own eyes. Like most reviews said, it is a coffee cart tucked away next to a building(basically in the side –yard of a building). There is a small entrance, but once you enter you will find yourself in a magical succulent kingdom! Best part is, all succulents are for sale! There were succulent ornaments and succulent shaped Christmas trees. No, it was not yet December BUUUUT I am a huge Christmas fan, so yay! The pictures I had seen prior to going made it look like a fairly large place, so I was surprised by how small it is. It was pretty crowded with all the people getting their coffee. I actually didn’t get to try their coffee, so this review is on the place alone. But if you are in the area I would definitely check it out because of the unique factor of it. The menu is fairly basic with your normal coffee drinks and a few sweeter drinks. I definitely will try the coffee next time, but I was too excited about getting that perfect shot with the succulent wall that I didn’t get a chance to caffeinate. (And in case you were wondering. Yes I did get that perfect shot. Now I can sucker people on Instagram into coming here too) :)

How can anyone NOT give this five stars just for the scenery?! Peter reminds me of Mr Miyagi from Karate Kid, quietly and masterfully working with the most incredible and tiny plants to create succulent, living works of art as if tending to bonsai. The seating is varied and very comfortable with a great mix of sun and shade-oh right and the coffee and special teas and snacks are great too! Do NOT miss this spot and then walk over to Oceanside Pier and full unobstructed ocean views.

Such a cute little place– I’ve been before, but the coffee Saturday was so yummy I had to come back again the next day! Staff is super friendly, they have yummy muffins and sorts, plus delicious coffee! It’s a great place to visit and shop for succulents, or just sit and admire the look and feel of this little café! Just come on by :) You won’t hate it here, it’s super peaceful and adorable!

Grabbed a coffee here yesterday with a girlfriend, and this place is beyond darling! There are succulents everywhere!!! This is an Instagram hipster’s paradise! It’s a quaint little coffee shop located on the corner of Cleveland Street in Oceanside. It’s located right next to this little salon that smells incredible. The staff is super friendly and they know how to make a flat white which always makes me happy. The barista explained to me that all of their pastries were made at the Petit Madeleine bakery right across the street so glad to see locals supporting locals. They do not have an extensive menu so keep that in mind if you’re coming here you might want to eat ahead of time they have a lot more pastries in snack items. The cool thing is you can also buy the succulents in the shop which is always really fun because some of them are super cute and really unique looking. If you’re in the area I definitely recommend you stop by and check it out.

I was under the impression since its a café they would have sandwiches and other goodies but they don’t which is ok there is plenty of food choices in walking distance. They serve coffee, tea and muffins, etc. I still loved this place though so many succulents through out the whole place, so gorgeous. Perfect for a nice get away or quiet study place. I wish I would have known about this place sooner I could have taken my engagement pictures here as I saw someone else on Unilocal do the same. I suggested this place to my girlfriends we sat in the shaded upper level of the patio and had it all to ourselves which was nice. We were able to enjoy ourselves, catch up without the place being extremely packed. Definately recommend this place to others you will be in total awe I know I was.

This place is really cute and quiet. The actual café is a coffee cart towards the back. I bought a lemonade and a red velvet muffin. The lemonade was refreshing especially during our hot summer days. The muffin was decent– moist and not too sweet. It’s outdoors, but there is plenty of shade and soothing music in the background to create a very laid back ambiance. It’s would be a good place to catch up with a friend, or play a game of cards(or something simple and easy).

What a unique place! You feel like you are in the cutest private alleyway garden. As I was sipping my drink I kept craning my neck around looking at the splendor of succulents surrounding me. The coffee«shop» is more of an espresso cart at the very end of the space, where you order. You then find a seat and they bring out your drink to you. The barista was very friendly, and the soft music was just right. I went on a Sunday morning, and it wasn’t crowed at all. You can even buy some of the succulents you see if you want to take one home. The coffee, while not the absolute best I’ve tried, was still very enjoyable. Note that is you want an iced drink, you can only get the larger 20 oz. Definitely worth a visit and a hidden gem in Oceanside!

Visited for the first time a couple days ago. Like others have said, the ambiance is incredible. I came here with a friend and her dog and we had the most lovely time chatting over our cozy chai lattes and admiring all of the incredibly creative succulent arrangements. They seriously put succulents in every container imaginable! There’s a lot of love and care that go into these succulents. So awesome. I obviously couldn’t leave without a few of my own(Okay… I had to stop myself at a few). The only suggestion I have is more food options. I was there at 10am and there were only a couple muffins to choose from. It’s also a bit on the pricey side, but this is such a magical place, I’ll definitely be back.

From the windows to the walls, see all these succulents crawl! If you love succulents, coffee, and peaceful settings: bring a book or journal if you want«me» time… or bring a friend to spend time together, catching up over steaming cups. My friend and I got the White Chocolate Mocha and Spanish Mocha. I liked the White Chocolate Mocha better!

What brought me to find this place is that I have seen a few post on the popular page on my instagram! it looked so magicaaallllll! I honestly didn’t know what to expect but my breath was taken away when I walked in! It is amazing how many succulents can be planted in one area! I ordered the dirty chia latte and it was amazing!!! I am from oceanside and I can’t believe I have passed by this place a billion times and never noticed it was there!!! It was a cloudy day when I went so I was a bit chilly since is is all outdoors. So I recommend coming on a sunny day before you head to the beach!

While in Oceanside I was pleased to have tried the Succulent Café. It was very close to closing time, but they still accommodated me. I double-fisted with a black iced tea and an iced Americano. Both beverages were stupendous and delicious! Beverages aside, it was the atmosphere that really sealed the deal. Being from the Colorado, where succulent plants are not that common, I was astounded by the variety of succulents that were on display as both decoration and for purchase. They were arranged every which way and gave me plenty of ideas on how to display any future succulently succulent succulents I may need. I recommend this place. Become inspired by a visit. You’ll be glad you did.

Succulent Café is a tucked-away gem of DT Oceanside, the perfect spot for a bit of quiet over a soothing cup of freshly brewed tea. The ambiance doesn’t stray far from the name — succulents cover every wall and corner of this outdoor café. The beautiful surroundings transport you to a magestic oasis that’s hard to leave! Prices are on the higher side for what you get & food selections are slim. Either way I’d recommend Succulent Café to anyone in the area & I look forward to visiting again.

I walked into succulent HEAVEN! I couldn’t wipe the happiness off my face after walking in. The arrangements were so beautiful and they were everywhere! It’s very peaceful in the little succulent garden. I could definitely go there and enjoy a morning cup of coffee. The selection of coffee was great. I needed something to help me stay up while driving so I ordered an iced chai. All of the iced drinks come in the same size so it was a lot to finish for my second cup of coffee for the day. After I ordered, I just started to browse around. He walked the drink right up to me. It was so delicious. Everything was great inspiration to start my own succulent collection. I’ve always loved them and have a few but anything alive that I own is very lucky. Many plants have died on my watch or handed down to someone who can take care of the plant better than I could ever. I will definitely be stopping by again soon.
