Had pre Father’s Day brunch … Our server was amazing the staff was amazing but 4.95 for a fruit cup that has 5 pieces of fruit … Come one that was super crazy… the food was also just average I wasn’t impressed my waffle was dry and no one in the group was amazed with what they had

I’m not complaining whatsoever. It took our server 12 minutes from the time we were sat down to ask what we would like to drink and only after the busboy came by to ask if we would like water he brought the juices. My better half ordered a short stack and they were dry and tough and could not be cut easily with a fork. I ordered the CFS and the gravy was too salty, cold and lumpy. The home fries were overcooked on the bottom where they were too crispy(burned). I ate my breakfast like a good boy because I didn’t want my better half to complain. It’s a good idea to have CQ from the cooks so they can see first hand about what is being served and not from a complaint because it’s human nature for anyone to get defensive especially when this place gets a lot of good reviews. Just my opinion.

This was my first time attending this establishment. It was on Father’s Day and we sat on the patio. All the food was delicious. My chiliquilies were amazing, the chicken strips on the kids menu were awesome and my husbands’ omelet was great. The main reason I am writing this though was because of our server Alison. She was a breath of fresh air. She was so friendly, happy and was an amazing waitress. Management should look hard at promoting her. Thank you for a great Father’s Day breakfast.

Have to say this is my Second time here and the service is excellent, everyone is very friendly, the food here is very good, for the price you do get what you pay for. Our server Jim L was very knowledgeable and answer all the questions I had about the food. I will be coming back for sure! See you next Sunday.

Love the food and it is a very clean place however the service is super slow. I know they are super busy so I try to remain patient but sometimes it’s a bit much. I deal cuz I enjoy the food. Overall a great place to eat.

Broken Yolk is one of our favorite places to hang out! Definitely a «cool zone«! Jim the Manager is always cheerful! Eric is amazing and incredibly attentive! Abraham is a standout! Where else can you go on Father’s Day where the place is packed, yet the owner still finds the time to visit each table to welcome her Guests! We’re absolutely going to make this Broken Yolk our regular hang out!

This place is pretty much would you’d think; it’s a cookie cutter diner that serves breakfast food that you’d typically see at Denny’s or Coco’s. It’s better here, but not by much, basically at that hint above average mark. The best way to think of this place, and every place that has three stars, is that if you see something on the menu that you know you like elsewhere, this place won’t steer you too far wrong. And if you see something that you’ve never really wanted to try anywhere else, it’s doubtful that it will change your mind once you have it on your plate. I’ve been here about half a dozen times, had Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Burritos, Pancakes, Spinach and Egg White Omelette, and various muffins and the like. If it had sugar or fat in it, it wasn’t bad. If it came without either, I’d finish it, but not be entranced. And, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure I’ll be back, but this isn’t the kind of place you plan on coming with your family. It’s more of a compromise when friends are in town or with groups that need a place that too many won’t complain about. I’ve never had problems with the staff, the food always comes out promptly, everything is well cooked, and rare is the occasion to complain. No, this place won’t win any awards, but it probably won’t disappoint either.

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left this place was nothing less than amazing. Workers are polite, well groomed and on it all around me. My server Terie was very polite the whole time and checked on us constantly but not overly. And the food of course was delish. The place is clean and well taken care of. Nice job everyone I will be back more often.

The staff was very polite and friendly. The food was decent and priced for the quality. This breakfast place is a leg up from the Denny’s and other breakfast/brunch chains around town. Definitely worth a go if you’re hungry for breakfast food!

Somehow, every time we come to this location, Thomas is our waiter. Thank goodness because he is a treasure. He makes waiting for a table worth the wait. He is always friendly and, I believe, a genuinely sincere individual. I hope that management recognizes that they have an employee who cares about their customers and work hard to ensure that Thomas is a permanent employee! He deserves recognition

I had a great breakfast here with my wife. Everything was so quick and our server Teri was sweet and on top of it! My wife always has a rather complicated order but Teri got everything right and gave us service with a smile. We will definitely be back and requesting her to serve us again! Keep up the good work guys. We’ll be back next weekend! Also the chicken and waffles were on point!

Stopped by on a Sunday morning around 8:30am. By the time we sat down and ordered the place was packed. So glad we got in before the crowd. All of the food is so filling. Kid menu items were a great deal. French toast with 2 sausage links and 1 scrambled egg and oj $ 7. My jack of hearts omlete was super filling. I couldn’t finish. Artichoke hearts, bacon and jack cheese… such a great combo.(I didn’t have to eat for the rest of the day) When we left we looked the other tables, so many good choices. Crepes, fluffy pancakes, biscuits, breakfast burritos. We will have to come back and try them all.

2nd time here. I walked out the first time at breakfast due to no service. This time it was because for lunch my wife’s BLT had a bug in the lettuce. We stood up and walked out. Will never be back, ever… UPDATE: Owner reached out and offered gift card. I upgraded score to 2 stars for effort. I still will never ever go back there again and cannot recommend it. Did I mention the food was below par too? My wife’s BLT sandwich was thin and un-inspired besides having the bug in it. My hamburger was bland and I had to ask for onions. My wife’s onion rings were gross looking as they looked like they had been fried in two week old brown grease, my fries were the same. The first time I walked out of this place was years ago because, even though they were busy, the waitress basically forgot about us. I gave it another chance for lunch this time and was disappointed… again… ps… the waiter and manager were pleasant and attentive.

Mediocre, at best. Broken Yolk is serving up some solid 2-star cuisine. I’m bumping them to 3 just because service is pretty good all the way through, from hostess to server to busser. But I’m excluding those cooks. Those cooks did me wrong! Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself though. Perhaps I’m blaming the cooks for Broken Yolk’s broken recipes. Long story short… NO. The flavors just aren’t there at all. Take a gander at Unilocaler Maddie M’s review — she ain’t lying! The coffee here is THAT lacking. This was my first experience at the restaurant, and though I have several local breakfast favorites, I thought to give this place a try due to their never ending stream of mailer coupons. But $ 30 and an unsatisfied-tummy later, I realized I made a bad move. From the sounds of this morning’s waiting room, several groups were first-time visitors too. I suppose the mailer coupons are working, but I’m left wondering if the mediocre food accounts for the noticeably absent return customers.

Stopped by to check this place out before my journey back north. Food was good. We ordered SBA omelette with home fries and a biscuit added in avocado @ $ 12.45. Also tried the tiki toast with added on applewood bacon and hash-browns to make it a combo for $ 9.45+3.75. Paired with a mocha $ 2.95 and tried the four flight mimosa. $ 9.95. Other than finding a piece of hair on my bacon and in my potatoes… Food was pretty good. The service overall could use some improvement. Jim was our waiter he seemed overwhelmed in his section though other wait staff were«working» busters and other wait staff weren’t helping. Neighborhood breakfast eatery open early and has decent pricing. Our meal including the mimosa flight totaled up to $ 48.00 however the manager deducted the combo add on upgrade since there was hair in it.

Broken Yolk Café is an easy, reliable place to get a breakfast/brunch meal. It’s spacious, has a decent sized menu, and has ample parking. Unfortunately nothing I’ve had on the menu is so mind blowingly good that I absolutely have to have it again. I would come back, and I would eat and enjoy my food, but I would much rather go to a more unique spot. That said, I recommend you check out their eggs Benedict menu. There are some gems there. For example, I enjoy both the Border Benedict(with carne asada, poblano pepper sauce and a sweet corn cake base) and the Golden State Benedict(with avocado, tomato, Hollandaise, bacon, and Sriracha). Their mimosa selection looks good, but I have yet to come here for drinks. Maybe next time.

I haven’t been here in years! Decided to come today when the first 2 places my boyfriend and I went to were packed, we called ahead of time and asked how long the wait was. We were told 15 minutes so we decided to drive over. When we arrived we were told the wait is 20 minutes, we decided to wait. It felt way longer than 20 minutes. My boyfriend and I both ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was very good! No complaints on the food or service it was all great! We were both impressed that they didn’t get our order wrong because I asked for gravy on my steak and extra gravy and my boyfriend ordered gravy on the side. For a very busy place it was awesome they got everything correct. Even a mom and pop shop has messed up our orders before. What a great place I’d like to start coming here more and try other things!

After hearing all the hype, I decided to try this place out during a day trip. The restaurant was packed, but surprisingly only a 20 min wait for 2 people on a Sunday during brunch. We ended up getting seated in no time because the place is pretty huge with plenty of tables, inside and out. First off, our server was extremely friendly and helpful! We wanted some suggestions for our first time and we also wanted to get a good value on mimosas(I can never have just one), so she advised us to get a bottle of champagne for a little under $ 14, which already comes with an orange juice on the side and she would charge us for another small juice of our choice. We ended up having 2 full glasses each of both orange and pomegranate mimosas, which was an okay deal, but it definitely made my morning. For my meal I went with the No Name Omelette, which consisted of mushrooms, bacon and I replaced the tomatoes with spinach, and it was topped with avocado and sour cream. I got toast and hashbrowns as my choices of sides. Sadly I hated it. I was definitely not a fan of how the omelette tasted. It was stuffed with an overwhelming amount of mushrooms and the whole thing was just not memorable, not to mention it was a bit overpriced. The only thing that was cooked really well were probably the hashbrowns which were nice and crispy, but other than that everything else lacked flavor. I would be willing to come back if I’m ever in the area to give a different dish a chance because the mimosas, the service and overall atmosphere is likable.

I came here several years ago, but haven’t been in since. Not that there was anything wrong with them, it just wasn’t rememberable. However since my ophthalmologist is in the same shopping center, hadn’t had breakfast yet, and was starving, I chose convenience. Small crowd, but got seated immediately and the host took our coffee order. Then after he came back and I fixed my coffee to my liking, YUCK! The coffee lacked so badly, I thought well since I came later after breakfast rush hour, maybe it was sitting out for some time. Our waiter came to the table and I asked if he could make a fresh pot of coffee, but unfortunately when he brought out new cups out, the coffee was still horrendous. We ordered a Veggie Omelette and short stack of Pancakes with a side of bacon. A different friendly person brought out our food, and normally when you’re starving you’ll eat about anything. However it was so difficult to stomach this. Overall everything lacked FLAVOR! Not hard to add some garlic or seasonings to boost up the edible factor, but this was literally the most bland meal I had in a while. Added salt and pepper. Nope! Added ketchup. Nope! Added Tabasco. NOPE! How can you mess up potatoes? By adding no flavor! Sorry but you know your food sucks if hot sauce can’t save it. What was also equally disappointing was how much it cost. Normally if you pay $ 5 for a plate full of food, you can’t be too picky if it doesn’t have any flavor, but for $ 35 for two people, eating only a few bites of our food, left all of coffee in our cups, I can say it definitely wasn’t worth it.
