I went back to Waldbaums only once since that last horrible experience wanting to see what«going out of business bargains» they were offering. They had sale merchandise but I wasn’t impressed and didn’t buy anything. I’m not surprised they are closing with the way they treat their customers and I’m really excited to see what opens up in the space!

It is ok, has food, but missing something to make it different as more modern supermarket have. I think of Wegmans, Fairways, etc. Guess it is the local supermarket for the Oceanside, Island Park, Long Beach area, not a wider regional basis. They have what you need.

This store has clearly got to get it together. Went there numerous times as a man growing up and always found the store pleasurable, accommodating and«fresh». This past week however, it was a disaster. Decided to recycle and after placing 4 bottles in the machine, the recycling bin is full and needs to be changed. So I ask myself, «how can this be full»…they opened up 1 hour ago and it should have been emptied. Whether the night before, or the moring of opening. So I proceed to go to customer service to alert them of the situation and and no one is there. Great! Customer service department and not one person behind the desk? I walk away after 10 minutes(even the bakery guy felt bad for me as he saw me standing there that long) and find a random employee who I inform of the matter. «She will get it addressed», she states 15 minutes later a guy comes out moving slower than a snail. I say to myself, oh no, I’m going to be here for a while. The guy then sits down and takes recycle bags out of his pocket for 20 minutes while placing them one by one on top of the shopping cart. I bite my lip and wait. Half and hour later, I am back to finally recycling the bottles. But guess what, the machine fills up again after placing 10 bottles into it. So again, I am back to customer service… Arriving at the desk, Im so stunned to see no one there :) Again, I wait… A guy sees me through the doors and turns to another employee informing her of my presence. She wakes out from the back with cookies in her hand and so many in her her mouth that I I couldn’t even understand a word she said. I inform that this is a customer service desk where customers come to get served. Not stand around for 25 minutes total to get answers while you eat cookies. Almost an hour later, I Grab my bags of bottles and left. The best part is that I recycled the somewhere else and spent that money plus more at another outlet. Maybe this place was better managed when I was younger. Now only 39, it has lost a lot. Including customer service which should always be top notch

It’s a Waldbaums. The set up leaves much to be desired since it’s the exact opposite of the one we normally go to but not sure what else you can say about it.

Look, another Waldbaums. This one is sure set up confusing! All the aisles have that weird aisle going through the middle. Not my favorite supermarket.

Been shopping here for years. Usually find what I’m looking for. Have had decent cakes from the bakery. I just don’t know if they’re going to do well for long though, the Stop & Shops nearby are giving them a lot of competition and the Waldbaum company is not doing so well with other Waldbaums in Long Island closing. The other stop & shops in the area are a bigger and have more stuff. I hope they don’t close, but we’ll see.
