Publix Super Markets

I have shopped at this Publix on Maguire Road in Ocoee since it opened… I use to enjoy shopping, as much as you can, at this particular location… A few months back I noticed a difference in the store. Empty shelves, missing items, and the employees standing around and talking! Then I found out that the Original Sore Manager Jay retired… that explained everything. He was an incredible store manager and very nice person. He cared, the store was run to perfection… what a loss
I am very unsatisfied with the way the store is run now. I started shopping more at other stores such as Target and Wal Mart… what a disappointment Publix :(

Thank goodness with so FEW nearby options, this Publix has proven to be a preferred place to do business the past 23 years.
For what they don’t charge in excesses such as the fancysmanchy, artseyfartsey, ultra a la natural or superduper specialities, they make up for it in common sense selections.
I’ll go out of my way for those special selections happily knowing my most convenient choice is most rea$onable, for the most often needed.

Each year for my son’s birthday, I bring the most complicated/​odd cake requests to the bakery. And every year, this Publix bakery goes above and beyond to make it happen. They are always enthusiastic about the project and always deliver an outstanding cake! Aside from their 5-​star bakery, this Publix is always clean and the employees are always friendly and helpful. We are so lucky to live close to one of the best Publix locations in Florida! Tracy in the bakery is wonderful!

This is by far the best Publix I’ve been to in the Windermere and Dr Philips area. Their customer service is amazing. Some examples, they always ask to take your groceries to your car and no tipping is allowed. The butchers gladly cut up meat or poultry and repackage it if asked. The produce department has cut up squash for me. There are salespeople walking around the store asking people if they need help, you don’t have to search for them. And they will special order items and call you when it comes in.

If you want to go to a very well organized, friendly, and attentive staff, then this store is the one for you!!!

We have been coming here for years and I cannot say enough good things about this store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and show ready. The food is fresh and the deli always smells great!

I don’t think I have ever been to a Publix I didn’t enjoy but this one took the cake… or should I say sandwich. Ok so I know that was really cheesy but I have barely any ‘funny’ reviews so I had to try. I’m guessing that joke won’t get me any more… I digress
So I wanted a quick dinner and stopped here for a Publix Deli Sub. The encounter was nothing short of amazing customer service at its finest. I was served by the Deli Manager, or was it assistant manger… well he should be the manager if hes not.
He:
— acknowledged me while I was waiting online to state he would be with me shortly
–recommended I try cheddar on my sub (I had asked for american, he was right on the money) he then cut the cheese fresh
–managed his employees at the same time (someone had asked another employee to cook raw chicken from the meat section and they had never done this before),
–printed out the label so I could go wait online to pay for my sub while it was being toasted
–cracked jokes the entire time he was serving me (they were about on par with mine in the opening sentence but so what)
And to top it off it was just before the deli starts to close up everything and I didn’t see the smile come off his face once!
Full Disclosure: I did work for Publix for about one year, not this one though and I had never met any of these individuals before

I had to do a late evening forage for food the other night and ended up in my usual hunting ground — Publix. This particular evening I didn’t have to hunt for long because right in the deli was some of the yummiest protein I could have ever asked for. Mojo port roast. OMG! All I had to do was add some good healthy greens and we had a perfect Paleo dinner. Publix — where hunting and gathering is a pleasure.

What I love about this location is the great service. People seem generally happy here and will help you out.
There is a great olive bar at this location, as well as the blockbuster rental box. Love the buy one get one free promotions, and the deli has great subs!!!
What I find interesting here is the amount of kids promoting and selling different things outside the store. I almost wanted to avoid this location because I felt the girl scouts were really aggressive this year.
I saw one woman who said, «They got me at Sam’s» when approached about cookies. I thought it was a great line and decided to use it on my next approach.
In addition, a lot of boy scouts with popcorn and various other kids raising money for sporting groups can be seen camped out at the doors.
