Hit this for lunch on the way to Nantahala. We love local spots. Loved the family vibe here. Food was great. Buffalo chicken wrap very good. Kids hit the all you can eat fish. They were happy to keep it coming for my 14 and 12 year old boys. Sides were great. Would definitely hit this again. Whole family happy.

I’ve come here a few times after rafting. It’s always the perfect end to a great day in the water.

We stayed for two days in Ocoee and on the last night ate at the Whitewater Grill. I wish we had known about it earlier, we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a party of 12 and everything went so great! The food was good, service was friendly, attentative and fast. I highly recommend this place as service, food and prices exceeded our expectations.

I hate to leave a bad review because the staff was extremely warm and friendly, but the food was awful. They have something called spinach dip but it’s not, and the nachos were old and rubbery. The smoked burger was dry and absent of flavor and I’m certain the mashed potatoes came from a box. The only good part was watching the kayaking video on the tube. I would try the deli across the street.

This place was not at All what it was made out to be. Recommended by the rafting company we used today as being an awesome place to eat. Besides the 45 minute wait after we ordered(4 burgers) the burgers were extremely dry. The bun wasn’t that fresh. The fries were good, though. Next time we will try the Dam Deli or better yet, Hardee’s.

After a long drive and whitewater rafting, we were starving! A guide recommend this place so we decided to try it out. If we had known it was going to take 2 hours, we probably would have went somewhere else. To their credit, when we arrived, they were slammed(and also very hot inside). So we had to wait about 10 mins to get a table. Waited about another 15 – 20 minutes for our drinks and for someone to take our orders. All three of us ordered hamburgers and fries so nothing fancy. It then took almost another 45mins-1 hour to get our food! The hostess/front cashier was very pleasant but most of the other staff wasn’t welcoming. Once we got our food it was great! Our table rarely got checked on and we had to ask how to get our check because no one had told us. They definitely need to work on some things.

This family owned establishment will draw you in; from the warm smiles on each face you meet to the awesome rafting pictures proudly displayed throughout the restaurant. Everything is made in house and finger-licking good! I chose the Tuscan Panini, you can not go wrong with this choice! Your mouth will have a sudden display of explosions as you journey through this panini. And, let’s not forget the fries, they are hand-cut and seasoned to perfection! The Smoked Burger is something different for the pallet. This ½lb of beef is here to make you happy and it will! Remember don’t forget the HOt FiReS!

Our rafting guide recommended this place and it lived up to the hype. All of the food was fabulous and handmade. No processed meat here. Husband got the smoked burger which he said was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I have eaten. Each component was fresh and fantastic from the bread to the thick sliced turkey bacon. The hand cut fries and homemade chips are really good. One of our friends got the Tuscan grilled panini that featured avocado, sun dried tomatoes and feta. It was great as well! Great for dinner after a long day on the river. We will definitely be back next time we come rafting.

Our whitewater guide, Trip at Sunburst, recommended the Whitewater Grill to us. The food is great. I ordered the turkey burger(delicious, fresh), and devoured it. The fries looked to be hand cut, and weren’t greasy. I will say, though, if you are likely to get«hangry,» skip it. The wait was pretty long, such that half of our party of 11 split off and went across the street. Service is a little slow, but if you have some time to spend, the food is definitely worth it.

My wife and I went here for Father’s Day. This is our 3rd trip to the WWG! Surprisingly, they were not as busy today as they have been on our last two visits. Our visit started off badly. We had a lengthy wait to be shown to our table. It was not because they had to clear a table for us. There was no apparent reason for the delay other than the hostess/cashier had several parties trying to check out and she was carrying on short conversations with most of them. In addition to that, she had a small baby in a carrying front pouch with her and was giving a lot of attention to the baby. Finally she had one of the waitresses seat us. When we finally turned in our order(nothing complicated or special — my wife ordered the Sunday Dinner special and I had a simple hamburger steak with French fries and green beans), there was a loooong delay in getting our food. To top it off my wife’s smoked chicken was undercooked. Actually, it was pink. She brought it home to nuke it in the microwave so she could eat it. It wasn’t an isolated thing because another guest passed by our table and asked if her chicken was done. He said his was not cooked either. When we went to check out, the hostess/cashier was nowhere to be seen, so we had another long wait. The line behind us began to back up with other guests waiting to check out like us. When the hostess/cashier finally showed up to take our payment it turned out that she had been nursing her baby while people waited to pay and others waited to be seated. I pity those coming in. The time we arrived was approximately 12:38 pm. It was approximately 2:00 pm when we left. As has been stated by others before child labor law violations were evident in all of our visits to the WWG!

Great food and atmosphere. Staff will go out of their way to make your dinning experience as enjoyable as possible. No problems with changes to the menu. I am gluten intolerant and they always work with me to provide a meal that is out of this world. Leave happy and full.

Delicious!!! The service is excellent — the server(possibly owner?) was extremely hospitable, very interested in how our experience was and very personable. At the checkout they has a selection of baked goods. I merely mentioned that my boyfriend who was with me had never had a No Bake Cookie — and she reached behind the register and pulls out one of the cookies that was broken and gave it to us for Free! Overall, I definitely recommend this little place! And the fajita panini was phenomenal! And excellently priced :)

Just tried this place for the first time and can’t wait to come back and try something else. I had the special which was 4 tacos with rice and black beans. Very tasty. Taste like the grilled a hamburger the chipped it up for the taco. The wife had the turkey burger. I’m not the type to even consider a turkey burger somewhere, but I will defiantly order theirs again. I had a few nights of it and wanted to take it from her. Very flavorful. The staff is very friendly too. I will be back.

Not impressed! Extremely slow, and the kitchen looked confused. Seemed like a one woman show, she welcomed us, took our order and checked us out, I thought she must be the owner. All of the child labor was out of place and very unprofessional for a place that is extremely busy. On the plus side the food was good and hot and the prices were reasonable maybe to reasonable, they should raise their prices and hire some real help.

My niece brought me here after the river. What an amazing find. Everything made from scratch. Including the salad dressing. The server was so nice and accommodating.(my niece asked to change almost everything on her order) I wanted to try a bunch of thing as I would be heading north soon. The Fried green tomatoes were so good. Crispy on the outside not mushy at all. Tart and fresh just hot in the center. If you get a chance go. Tell them Alycia sent you.(my niece)

Second time visiting(see my first review below)! Still a 10⁄10. As mentioned in other reviews, the service will be slow, especially if you go on Saturday evening because of all the rafting trips that stop by, but the food is 100% worth it. We came with a group of 16, and they were able to set us up in two adjacent tables. EVERYONE in my group came away happy and glad that we waited. My new favorite: the smoked chicken salad sandwich. This sandwich is to die for, people. The chicken salad packs so much flavor, and it’s unlike any other I’ve ever tried. We also got to try the spinach and artichoke dip, which we really liked. The spinach tasted fresh, which is very rare. I got to try their peach cobbler and coconut pie this time, and both were excellent, but the blackberry cheesecake remains my favorite. Also, the guy next to me said his country steak/cube steak was the best he’d ever had. I saw that the restaurant has been expanding, which is exciting. I know they must be right at the limit of what their kitchen can handle, but if you’re willing to wait, you won’t be disappointed. The staff is beyond friendly. The food is legendary. Go to Whitewater Grill. The atmosphere is very, very relaxed. There are rafting reels playing on the TVs and rafting pictures and gear on the walls. The place isn’t much to look at, but no one minds the least bit once you taste the food. Fun fact: when chatting with locals in line to pay, we asked them if there were any other great restaurants in the area. The closest one they could mention is in Cleveland! That just goes to show how highly they think of Whitewater Grill!

The food here is good but the service is very very slow. It took our group of 11 around 20 minutes to get our appetizers and over an hour to get any food. If you are in a rush for food, I’d recommend elsewhere.

Awesome food! Great hummus and try the burgers and the Tuscan panini. It was really busy when we were there so the service was slow but it was worth the wait for sure! Definitely need to try this place.

As someone who’s been in the restaurant industry for several years, I can tell you three things. First, the quality of food here is unmatched. Seriously, everything is made in that restaurant, even all the desserts, which is unheard of from chain stores, and even most mom and pop outfits. Second, the staff there all genuinely care about it. Every single interaction I had there bled honesty, from the quality of food to the attitude of the staff. Third, if they get slammed, and the food takes a while, wait. I seriously can’t emphasize that I enough. I’ve been with a group of ten, and got to sample a lot of different dishes. Everything is off the charts. I’ve never had a turkey burger I thought could match beef, and then I went here. The fried chicken I ordered was cooked home style, and perfect. The chicken salad is amazing. The cheese cakes are SO. GOOD. And the prices are very reasonable. If you are in Ocoee and looking for a place to eat, go. Ignore the fact that it’s not the most hip looking place or that there’s a more welcoming place across the street. You’ll be making hour long detours afterwards to get a chance to go back to this little taste of what heaven’s banquets must be like.
