2nd time I know of they had to close for health code violations, maggots and recently salmonella outbreak. Besides the food wasn’t good when I did say there, I got lucky!

I felt like I needed to get this out. First off, me and my family have always liked Ajuua’s, the food is good. For about the last 6 weeks or so, me and a coworker have been going there for lunch once a week and have really enjoyed it. But this past week on Wednesday two of my coworkers and I decided to go for lunch. I couldn’t complain about my food, I had the stacked enchiladas with a fried egg on top and It tasted good. The hot sauce however did not, and it is usually really good. I don’t know for certain what it was, but all three of us got food poisoning. I have never been that sick before, it’s been 6 days and all three of us still have some symptoms of food poisoning. I am sure it was accidental, and the last thing they would want to happen to there customers, but me and my family will not be going back any time soon.

The menudo was served with too much pata and fat which is ok for a third world country but not what I’d expect from an over priced bowl of menudo. The pricing is a bit high and service is average. Would only come here for the decent atmosphere not for the food though.

Great Chili Rellenos, awesome salsa and finally a tea that taste like tea! I’m a fan of the atmosphere and look forward to coming back and downing some cold beers. Slightly better than average service and a mean margarita… I’ll be back

Went here tonight for the first time. I must say I’m glad we did. The place was clean, friendly staff, good waitress and the food was pretty good. The salsa was good but I’ve had better. I would go again.

I used to love this place but now, the service is horrible. Waited 30 minutes to get chips and a drink, waited 20 more minutes to get salsa and take my order and that’s after I went up to the cashier and told her I need here to send my waiter over to my table. After my meal, I went up to pay out and it was $ 7.89 And I gave him the same waiter a $ 20 and he gave me a 10 back. I asked for my change and he stated it was a tip! Are you serious??? So I walked back to the table and picked up the $ 5 tip. My friend ordered the chicken fried steak and it was so disgusting she didn’t eat it. We will NEVER eat here again.

We wanted something fishy on the light side. Their Fish Caldos were just the thing. I had the 3 Mariscos with fish, shrimp, and oysters and my wife had the fish and shrimp. I don’t think that the oysters added anything to the flavor and were not that tasty. Since it was just what we wanted, i give them 4-​stars overall.

This was one of the first places I ate when my family moved to Odessa. Awesome atmosphere but the food is questionable and I always feel dirty when I’m there.

Great Mexican restaurant with good service. The food was amazing, had the Asado with green chile. It was just the perfect amount of spiciness. Will definitely come back and try different plates.

I had 2 margaritas with our queso and guacamole to start. The salsa and chips hit the spot. The number one combo with cheese enchiladas, taco, beans, rice, and chile relleno was a great value. The service and atmosphere were outstanding at this price range.

We usually snag take out. I love the Tio Chavez and beef enchiladas with red sauce but the salsa is amazing!

Liked the beef fajitas here. The tomatoes on top of the beef threw me off but it was good. Besides the service really lacking, the food experience was very good.

The food was good, hot and sizzling. Service was lackluster. Be warned, they will add a gratuity to tables of 5 or more even if you split tickets. We found this out the hard way after we left the tip on the table and then found out we were charged a tip after we paid. Waitress got way more tip than she deserved.

ZERO STARS – The WORST Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Horrible service, in fact 3 other tables were waited on that came in after us before anyone even approached us. They put my plate down right in front of my 2-​year old daughter and told me to be careful of the hot plate. The other 2 guests I was with had not been to the restaurant in 2 years and were disappointed as well. The service and food were so bad that I did not leave a tip, since when I went to pay and was voicing my concerns, the woman was almost laughing at me.

Complimentary salsa was one of the best I’ve had in a Mexican restaurant, very spicy and flavorful.
Catfish shrimp: recommended by the waitress, was pretty much disgusting. But then again, I’m the idiot that orders seafood in a Mexican venue…
Green enchilada: was never a big fan of enchiladas but this dish was VERY good! If I do ever end up here, that would be what I would order.
The service was OK, took a while to get more chips and salsa as it seemed our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes at a time.

Inside of the restaurant is not as big as I thought it would with the whole remodeling and everything. They have a fish tank inside where you can watch fishes while you eat. Also a bar… then tv screens you can watch sports… we got to watch golf that night… yay! Food was okay, their salsa they bring with your chips is too watery for me… I don’t think I would go back.
