Mediocre food, my cheese quesadillas were kinda sad and the rice and beans could have been done much better. This place sucks booty hole, and not in the good way.

Salsa and chips were good; salsa had medium spiciness. White cheese queso dip was good but bland for this part of the country. My entrée, enchiladas rancheras, was served cold(don’t think it had ever been heated fully. Even if the food had been excellent, I would not go back. They insist on being a «soft target» and bar those with a license from carrying.

Really good dinner! This is not a chain, which I liked. We were seated immediately by friendly staff, even though they were nearly packed. Our waiter gave us fabulous service. Refilled chips and tea quickly, without bring asked. Best chips I’ve eaten in a long time. Salsa was pretty good but not the best. We got amazing guacamole for tapas. My husband ordered ribeye and enchilada dinner. Tons of food! I got the kids’ beef fajita quesadilla. I’d have called it a beef fajita taco. It had good rice and fries. Not really Mexican food, but that’s my fault because they’re pandering to today’s picky kids. My dish was $ 3.99. Awesome! I was stuffed! My husband said his was great, too. We’ll definitely be back… like within the next week! Btw, Stephanie, there are 6 tv’s in the restaurant part, All on sports channels. And the bar section(yes, bar) had even more. Try it again when you’re not already snockered!

My family and I ate at the new location in midland and we were not impressed. First, there were at least five flies buzzing around at the booth we were seated at, the wait staff acted as if they didn’t care if they had a job or not, and lastly, the hostess after finding out about the flies at our table, told us the guys leave the doors open in the back and then laughed off the whole situation as we told her that maybe they shouldn’t leave the doors open at an eating establishment. The kids had chicken quesadillas and they had no flavor.

The salsa tasted spoiled… Yuck! The food was terrible, more like a Tex-mex not the real Mexican taste I expected. I took a few. Bites of my Enchilada and couldn’t take anymore, the red sauce on top was nasty! Hubby loved his brisket enchilada plater so maybe i just ordered the wrong thing… But I won’t go back. Be your own judge!

Well, I’m not impressed. I guess I’m picky when it comes to Mexican food. I expect it to be tasty. This was by far not. First I had to order tacos and rice as individual items because they don’t have a plate. My husband ordered enchiladas… Food was bland and cold. The service was fast and friendly but not something I will want to come back to. The décor is great. You can certainly tell someone spent a lot of time and money on it. The restrooms were dirty and the trash cans in the stalls were overflowing with toilet paper. Its advertised as a sports bar, but it’s far from it. I most likely will not return. Giving them two stars is being nice.

Had lunch at Hacienda Vieja today and it was excellent. This is a recently renovated place serving slightly more upscale Mexican fare than many places in town. I came in before noon on a Friday and was seated quickly, though I hear they really get busy in the evenings. My server was friendly and brought me my seafood fajitas very quickly and they were outstanding! The grilled fish fillets, shrimp, scallops and crab were perfectly cooked and still sizzling atop a platter of delicious bell peppers, onions & tomatoes. I was alone, but there was enough for two! I was going to leave the sides alone but after seeing Stephanie’s mean-spirited review I gave them a try and found the rice and beans to be fine, just what I would expect. The chips and salsa were good, too. As I ate I noticed the place filling up for lunch, so I guess the word is getting out. If you live or pass through Odessa and haven’t yet tried Hacienda Vieja, give it a try! I did, and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

This is by far the worse place I have ever been too. I have actually been twice because I gave them another chance a second time thinking they were just a little off the first day. The first time I went I order the mini tacos and a beer. The mug the beer came in was dirty so they took it back. Brought another one and the mug was also dirty. Gave up and told them never mind about the beer. The mini tacos were awful. They had no taste and were cold. I went to second time and we waited almost 2 hours to be seated. Then the server did not go to our table for another 15 mins. I ordered cheese quesadillas. Horrible!!! Food was once again cold. Cheese was not even melted in the quesadilla and it was the cheap store bought square cheese that they just tried to melt in the tortilla. Rice was so nasty. While you are trying to eat they keep having people come up to your table to try and sell you candy or cheap fake roses. Just like they do in Mexico. I’m like really!!! My boyfriend ordered a beer and of course the mug was dirty. I would not give this place any stars if that was possible. Also the outside says«sports bar» this is NOT a sports bar. This is a Mexican restaurant with a bar area with maybe 3 TVs. Should not be considered a sports bar at all. STAYAWAYEVERYONEHORRIBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLEPLACE.
