Awesome staff. Everyone working is super knowledgeable about the products they serve. It is always a clean and welcoming environment. This is a great place to try if you want to experience different types of beer.

I truly enjoyed our experience at House of Brews! It was a Sunday early afternoon so not busy at all. Actually we were the first patrons at the bar(I’m a day drinker) lol. There is a digital board/menu above the taps listing what’s flowing, alcohol content and where the beer is brewed. I tried a flight and absolutely loved the Anniversary brew that uses a sherry cask during the process. You truly can pick up on the grape/wine flavor on the back end of the beer! My most favorite was the sour like beer from Coppertail named Curious Frank. I could drink it all day! We weren’t too hungry but of course we browsed the menu. It is very approachable with a southern BBQ approach. Items including collard greens and boiled pnuts. One patron that came in during our visit stated the brisket was«to die for». Another patron was in the night before just having a few beers and said«the bbq smelled so good I had to come back today and actually try it». He looked very pleased with his pulled pork sandwich. This seems to be a very cozy, hometown bar/restaurant that I can’t wait to revisit!

I met up with some friends here last night for a girls chat-up. It is a little out of the way for me but they live close to the area. We arrived around 8pm and the place wasn’t too crowded but was not empty. You could tell the clientele is mostly locals. The bartender was also our server — he was the only one there but the crowd was definitely manageable. Mostly people sat at the bar. He told us that their beer menu was on the wall but he did hand us their food menu. The food menu is limited but good. There is BBQ and«Everything Else» lol. We started with the«Asian Style Chips & Salsa»($ 7) which were regular tortilla chips with what seemed like a homemade salsa. The server what made it «Asian style» was the sriracha in the salsa. We liked the flavor and heat of the salsa. We also asked for extra chips when we ran out and they didn’t charge us extra! For the four of us, we ordered the 1lb combo which is your choice of 3 meats. We went with pulled pork, corned beef brisket, and the«HOLYCOW» — Smoked Kalbi Kui Short Ribs w/Korean Beer BBQ Sauce. The meat came on butcher paper and came with sliced bread. Pulled pork~ pretty good, standard Corned beef brisket~ was okay. I should have read the«corned beef» part because it wasn’t regular bbq brisket. It was stringy and not the melty, fatty brisket I’m used to. The flavor was really good though. Holy Cow~ this was the favorite. It was a hunk of short rib in a korean bbq sauce. It was tender and juicy. We also ordered two orders of tacos which came with 2 tacos each. We got 2 brisket and 2 pulled pork. Same meat as the meat combo. Actually don’t know why we got tacos when we also got the combo lol. There is a choice of corn or flour tortilla. We chose corn which is a little drier. Each taco was wrapped in two tortillas so we used the extra to make more tacos with the meat we had. The sauces they had at the table were sweet, spicy and a vinegar. I kind of put all three on everything I ate so can’t really speak on their individual flavors. The kitchen closes earlier so make sure you order in time(Tues-Thurs 5pm to 9pm, Fri-Sat 12pm to 10pm, Sun 12pm to 8pm). We stayed until closing time(12am on Thursdays). We played pool(free!) and just sat and talked for hours. The atmosphere is really chill. There is also a giant jenga game. The bartender/server was friendly and never rushed us. He also let us try several tasters of beer on tap to find the one we liked. I got my favorite– Schofferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen. For my friends, I asked if he had something similar and he got them a hefeweizen beer that was less fruity which they enjoyed. I wish this place was closer to where I live because I can see myself coming here a lot for the atmosphere but alas it is 35 minutes away from me! Overall, a good place to hang out if you’re in the area.

Amazing corned beef bbq. Maybe the best we’ve ever tasted. Slow marinated, salty and tender. Drunken baked beans were loaded with meat and sweetness. Great tap selection and attentive.

I love this place. The beer choice is fantastic. They actually know all the beers on tap. Maybe service is slower than a chain beer place because they really care that you are happy with what you order. Food: Ordered the special. It came out it and it was high end charcuterie and cheese appearance where thought was used to pair it with beers. Yet there’s basic awesome bbq and bar stuff like pretzel bites. Seriously this is great beer chain style but with better(or any) food. The only negative wish they had more tvs.

One star for less than friendly service. What kind of bartender hands a person a beer with no means to open it and then walks off? No napkins anywhere to be found. Have to wait and ask. Attitudes of apathy abound. I didn’t think much of the food either. Greens, way too salty and undercooked, cheese dip for pretzel bites. not good. That’s all I had. Didn’t feel welcomed enough to stay and try more.

No service, terrible! Read the positive reviews on Unilocal so decided to try on a Sunday, went in to a half full bar maybe 7 people, one bartender and another guy standing behind the bar drinking a beer. Sat at the bar and waited for 10 min while the bartender ran back and forth and couldn’t seem to keep up with the small crowd. Asked to taste a beer he gave me a tasting and then didn’t come back to take my order, I waited another 10 min. Saw a group of 3 people annoyed also w service and trying to pay their bill and were also not getting service. How does someone run a business when their bartenders arent taking orders or servicing their customers? Literally one bartender stood behind the bar drinking a beer chatting w his friends, would never come back!

The food was good albeit overpriced for what you get. The staff is awesome and the beer selection is great. Not a fan of how the BBQ is plated on paper. And white bread is lacking… Should be served with Texas Toast in my opinion. Also, side items should be standard not a la carte. Overall a good experience but could use a few tweaks to draw in a bigger crowd and keep is coming back.

What a great little pub hiding in Citrus Park! I have friends who frequent this gem and have told me it’s definitely worth stopping in. I was in the area today and decided to stop by and grab a pint. Needless to say when I walked in it was very warm and inviting. There are a couple pool tables, TV’s and plenty of games to occupy your drinking time. The bartender was very welcoming explaining their barbecue menu as well as making several suggestions on their house made beers. I spent $ 10 on to pints which is very reasonable compared to some of the commercially owned beer houses in the area. I will definitely be back here again to spend a few hours with friends! I definitely suggest stopping in and checking it out if you’re looking for a good selection of beers and good service!

Pork was delicious, but the way it was served was puzzling. They put pulled pork on a piece of paper? Huh? Umm, I guess I am old school and like a plate? It was delicious!

This place has a great selection of beer. I’m normally not a craft beer type of guy, but I really enjoyed a beer called Fixie. They don’t serve any food except Fri-Sun which is the only reason I didn’t give it five stars. You can order from Beef O’Brady’s next door and happily bring it into the bar. Really great atmosphere and very clean. More people need to check it out. We went on a Tuesday night during a Lightning game and it was pretty empty except for some regulars. Would definitely go again though!

Very nice atmosphere with tons of brews to select. Very comfortable and cheery service and food was delivered very quickly. The pulled pork is served on butcher paper(like Texas BBQ places), and is a work in progress: it’s almost there! The bread needs some depth as well, but this place is certainly worth a few more vists before the Final Call!

My first time in I had a blast. Played cards against humanity which ended up involving everyone in the place, including the bartender. The place has two pool tables and a table full of board games. The regulars are welcoming.

Wow, what a fantastic place to kick back with a craft beer from one of their 40 taps on the wall, or even more sitting nearby in chilled bottles. Citrus Park House of Beer sits in a funky little neighborhood shopping center at the intersection of S. Mobley Drive and Gunn Highway(Sheldon Road extended). The shopping center is less than a mile north of Sickles High School, and best known for the McDonald’s on the corner, Beef O’Brady’s, and ACE Hardware. This is a real«up in the country» local’s shopping center, so don’t be surprised if you see horse trailers in the parking lot. It’s all good, and besides most of them make much more money than you — and they don’t mind letting you visit their neighborhood watering hole. All that being said, you must make a visit to Citrus Park HOB to enjoy their 40 taps of delicious micro brews and select imports. Any of their draft beers can be purchased to go via quart or gallon growlers. Walking in the door, you’ll feel as though you’re in a super-friendly and very casual neighborhood tap house with a pool table, giant Jenga game, and folks playing Cards Against Humanity while sipping great beers and having some laughs. Mike Bell is generally the guy behind the bar, and he is super knowledgeable about the various available beers. Tell him what you like, and let him make some recommendations for you to try. Jeremy Denny is the resident brewmeister, and he is crafting some unique house brews at their on-site Citrus Park Brewery. Jeremy is continuously brewing up new and exciting batches of traditional and progressive ales & lagers. If you’re a frequent visitor, then ask about their rewards card system. Your card gets punched each time that you try one of the 40 different brews on tap, and once you complete the whole cycle you earn a prize. Here’s the current list of brews on tap: I’ve been there twice, and both times unfortunately got there after the kitchen was closed(Oh darn, drink more beer!), but Mark & Gigi swear by the BBQ from the HOB’s kitchen. Mike did tell me that after hours I could order food from the next door Beef O’Brady’s and that they’d deliver it to me. The last time I was there we had a great laugh about a young, whiny patron complaining because they didn’t serve fried string cheese. She became the source of many jokes that night, so be sure to tell Mike that you’re only there for the string cheese and see how long he can keep a straight face! This is really a fun spot that stays open till 2am, and it’s a great place to hang out and enjoy some very fine craft beer with a lot of nice people.

Awesome place. Now featuring BBQ on the weekends. Got the half pound corned beef brisket and it was house smoked perfectly. They provide original homemade sauces. Try the garlic vinegar mixed with the siaracha bbq. Staff is super friendly and help you decide what brew is for you. Definately coming back soon.

This place is a hidden gem. We found it randomly one day and tried it out. It has a great selection of beer and the food is actually very yummy. I prefer it to some similar bars since it’s not as loud. Check it out for a great experience!

I just wanted to add a real quick update for CPHOB regarding their grub because it’s going to be changing soon. They have been running some BBQ specials over the past few months, and the response has been so good that they’re going to be switching to a BBQ-based menu soon. This means that the flatbreads are going to be 86’d. The que is more tasty than the flatbreads, but I urge everyone to get over there and try those flatbreads before they’re gone for good. Also, they have been running monthly beer pairing dinners. 5 course meals with beer infused foods that are paired up with a particular brand of beer. For example, next month they’re featuring a 5 course Stone Brewery menu. Worth noting!

I’m hooked. I’ve already been here three times, and have had a blast. I like that they have a smoking area and corn hole outside. Each thing on the menu is like a new and delicious discovery. The staff is too friendly to be considered beer brats, and the place is so new that you could eat off of the floors. They had great live music one night, and a touch tunes available for when they don’t. They’ve combined brick and wood for a laid back, but very clean look. Loving the rail, and even the wine on tap. Cheers!
