Good food but can be inconsistent at times. I love the hangover burger and the shrimp po boy. Ribs are great also.

Worst place in NPR area by far, very over priced, the service even worse. Went there with some friends and never will go back. The worst restaurant expericence ever, and I worked in the business. The waitress comes to the table and the first thing out of her mouth is can’t wait for this night to be over. Who says that to new customers! Then I try to order drinks she doesn’t care so just soda instead but came out wrong and again she didn’t care. We ordered food and it came out wrong too so ask for the manager and the check she didn’t care either and tryed to give a us a coupon for 10% off our next visit. What a joke! Don’t go there ever!!!

Went with family on 11/14/2015 @ approx 6PM. We had pulled pork/beef Sandwich’s /French Onion Soup, kids standard bagged chicken fingers/fries. We live 5 minutes from here and drive past all the time, decided to drop in, hadn’t been in couple years. Food was Ok, nothing outstanding. Believe this is more of a Drinking place. Was pricey for the plates we ordered in $ 13.99 /$ 12.99. Nothing much under ten bucks. Inside is lots of dark rustic wood décor. To me was in Bonefish price range for not being in Bonefish/Carabbas/Chili’s Cool atmosphere.

This place is one of the best dinner restaurants in the area. I have eaten here several times for dinner and the food is always fresh and delicious. You cannot get a better Greek salad anywhere! The service is always great too. My favorite dishes are the Chopped Greek Salad and the chicken pot pie. Sweet potato fries are my favorite side :) When they opened a few years ago, the prices were higher and have since been lowered which I think are more in line with what it should be for the area.

Don’t understand why this place is not more highly rated — have dined here several times and always had a great experience with both the food and the service. First off, the atmosphere is very cool — love the rustic barn look and I LOVE the saloon style bar they have. Fantastic mixed drinks, especially the sangria. They have an excellent shrimp sandwich — has a really tasty sauce that it comes with. Also had the beef brisket a couple of times and that was great(and I am super picky about brisket) Food is moderately priced and portions are fair. The Pappas family is «Tampa bay famous» for their Greek salad and that is well earned — and I will say that is something this restaurant of theirs does exceptionally well — good size and filling — my favorite thing on the menu.

I stopped here on the way and it looked like a charming rustic barn. We sat at a booth and were quickly served menus and drinks. We had the pulled pork nachos to start. It was pretty good, lots of pork and nachos, the only complaint was that they could be warmer. First time we ever tried catfish, it was pretty good, so were the fries and string beens. Also good was the prime rib au jus sandwich and the pork quesadillas. The service was good and the prices are very moderate. I liked it.

Went there for lunch today, ordered the pulled pork sandwich and my spouse ordered the Greek salad. Waitress never stopped by to ask how our food was, and never received a refill on our water and iced tea. I feel I shouldn’t have to ask, that’s the waitresses job. Ordered a separate side just to try(baked beans that had jalapenos and bell peppers), but the side came out more like a taste test instead if an actual side item, and they charged $ 3.29. If I’m paying $ 3.29, I would expect to get a side item that’s more than 3 bites. Being a foodie and love trying out restaurants we’ve never been to, I have to say that I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to this one — or recommend it to anyone based on service alone.

I wanted to try a local place that I’d never been to, so I headed to this place that I had passed many times. The staff was very friendly, and the place seemed clean, but the food was completely awful. Poor quality, poorly prepared, and it made us sick. We started with the nachos. It was just a pile of chips with some cheese and really dry pulled pork that was full of huge chunks of fat. Hungry, and they weren’t totally inedible, so we ate them anyway. Our meals arrived, and we were hopeful. French fries were good, but not crispy like we requested. Sweet potato fries were pretty inedible. I understand not preparing them as requested when the place is busy, but we were basically the only ones there. The country fried steak was basically a fatty steak they fried and dried out. There is more to making country fried steak and clearly the chef did not know that. Buffalo chicken is pretty hard to mess up, so I thought it was a safe choice. The chicken had a layer of fat, and the sauce tasted like it contained ketchup. Totally gross. We were hungry and spent $ 50 on this fine meal, so we powered through most of it. Bad choice! We spent the remainder of the evening with severe stomach aches. Definitely keep driving.

I ordered the beef brisket and they came with two side and additional fried or grill green bean which is so yummy. The servers were helpful and able to take order from our big groups in a quick and neat way. The price is little bit high for a student like me but acceptable to the quality. So I will definitely come back when I have a chance.

I cannot understand the previous reviews. We were six for dinner. The service was attentive and quick. Everyone had something different from the kitchen, and after being served, advised that their meal was as ordered and totally satsfactory. I am particularly fussy about how my steak is done — the kitchen hit my order bang on. Many restaurants give you horrid veggies as a side. Not here — my broccoli was prepared to perfection. Would definitely return. We have already recommended this restaurant to others.

I hate to give away the ending first, but this time I will … Pappas Ranch was my worst dining experience in recent memory. I thought I’d start with a salad, easy right? Ewww. A combination of iceberg and romaine, with only 3 dressing choices: Bleu Cheese, Ranch and Greek. Not even oil & vinegar? OK, so I tried the Greek. Completely and utterly tasteless. So I ordered the«chicken pot pie». It looked great at delivery, until I moved the pastry«top» and looked underneath. This will sound like an exaggeration, but I assure you, it’s not. They took a can or 2 of «mixed diced vegetables», added some sort of gravy and three(3) pieces of chicken(approximately ½″ square) and that was the Chicken Pot Pie. It wasn’t edible. So you think that was bad? My friend had«Baby Back Ribs». When have you ever seen Baby Back Ribs that were 8″ in length? They weren’t Baby Backs, at all. There was nary an ounce of meat on the ribs and they had been prepared(I suspect), by boiling and painting on some obscure brand of cheap BBQ sauce. The Mac & Cheese side order was awful. So you think maybe this was an inexpensive experience? Noooooo. No drinking, no dessert and one $ 5 appetizer(fried pickles, which weren’t bad, btw). The total bill before they took off my Chicken Pot Pie, was about $ 50 for the two of us. Stupid me. I read the reviews but had been then once a few years ago and it wasn’t too bad. I was starving, it was on the way, so I stopped. I should have just starved! I can’t put into words, how bad the food was … just horrendous.

Ever seen a place steadily go down hill? This is the defination of it. The place is empty at dinner time on Thursday. They have gone to a limited paper menu. When you get your BBQ sauce its in a little single serve condiment cup. Potato salad and beans were so salty i couldnt even eat the. Will not be back here, should be closed up in about 2 months.

Okay food, but mediocre service. The one time I went they were out of baked potatoes, key lime pie, and cheesecake… at 7pm on a weekday! Also, my husband’s iced tea was cloudy and he said it tasted weird. The waitress was nice enough but she didn’t return to our table to take our order until about 20 minutes after she had dropped off our drinks. We were actually in the middle of discussing paying for our drinks and leaving as she walked up. The place wasn’t even 1⁄3 full, so there was no reason for it to have taken that long. We didn’t even get a bread basket until we had already been there almost 30 minutes. People were seated right behind us several minutes after we got there, and they got their orders before we did. We likely won’t be going back because it just wasn’t worth the amount of time it took to get our food and the fact that they were out of so many things.

Stopped in for lunch during a workday. Lots of new places to eat at around here, so really curious about this stand alone location boasting it’s «famous salad». Started with a French Onion Soup bowl. It’s a nice benchmark to start with since nobody can mess up French Onion Soup, right? Wrong. See my soup picture? Well, my entire meal ended there. The bread floating on top of a massive bowl of broth and covered in melted cheese was stale. Gross-stale. Not –even– soaked– in– a– bowl– of– hot– soup– can– fix– this– stale. Considered going back before reviewing, but with so many other good places around, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. You know, if you had a menu only two items long, and those two items were really good, I wouldn’t even care about the lack of choices, just sayin’. Hope you guys revamp because as a former server it has to be really embarrassing serving this.

Like the others that have posted, failed to read the reviews before our visit. Epic Fail! The immediate warning sign occurred when asking what the«soup of the day» was to find out that it does not change, it’s the same soup everyday(If you watched ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ you’ll find the humor in that. I ordered the meatloaf with mushroom gravy. The meatloaf was awful, and had a sour taste. My dinner date ordered the chicken sandwich, that was very bland & dry! Had my meatloaf replaced with the«7 hour» slow cooked pulled pork. Not as bad as the meatloaf, but also disgusting! The manager gave us complementary dessert. Strawberry shortcake, that was made with canned strawberry’s. We’re in Florida, how hard is it to get some fresh Florida strawberries? Waitress and staff were nice, but I will not be coming back!

I am a big fan of the Pappa’s line of establishments, we eat frequently at Besa, Flamestone and Pappa’s Market Café. So this review is particularly painful to write. I went to this establishment with a work group for dinner. First, finding the entrance was confusing, but once we got in, I really liked the décor and atmosphere. Our server was very nice and efficient. It was happy hour, I was sad to learn that the wine had not been ordered and very little of what was on special could be had, so I ordered the Sangria. It was brought quickly, it was tasty, I especially liked the cinnamon rim. The food… yikes. Here is where we have all of our trouble. We ordered nachos, and not a stitch of cheese was on them(on the menu that way too). They were Meh, at best. I personally ordered a Deconstructed wedge and the Chicken with sun dried tomato and artichoke sauce with a side of kick-ass beans. My salad was limp shredded iceberg, topped with some bacon, a teeny bit of avocado, tomatoes and red onion, with a side of blue cheese dressing. It was okay. The chicken, was cooked fine, but the sauce was awful. It showed up on my plate and had separated. I cannot believe the cook didn’t make a new sauce, but slopped that crap on there. There were probably three sun dried tomatoes and not a single artichoke present. They did not impart their flavor either. Just salt, salt and oily yuck. The beans were ok, but certainly not«kick-ass». There was zero pride or attention to detail coming out of the kitchen. My coworkers who ordered the Prime Rib said it was fine, the BBQ had problems with overcooked chicken. And what kind of BBQ place only has two sauces!!! Unreal. The guy who got the steak loved it but it was cooked too much as to what he ordered. Normally, I would give this level of food three stars, but coming from the Pappa’s brand, I am deeply saddened and a bit betrayed. I would recommend this place to people who enjoy extremely bland, dull, and overcooked food. Foodies need to stay FAR, FAR away.

Decided to check this place out since it’s close by but I didn’t read the reviews first. Needless to say, it was… Odd. While the outside certainly looked interesting, the inside was an awkward mish mash of décor and big open spaces. The food selections seemed more like bar food and less like a steakhouse. Our waitress was friendly and did manage to steer me away from one of the more horrible food choices. Nothing we ate that evening would bring us back though. Not sure what I was hoping for from a Greek steakhouse… Maybe lamb and fish specialties? Oh well, live and learn.

If our server had not been so sweet, the experience would have been an absolute disaster. Food was truly bad. I understand it’s not Bern’s, but the blandness was inexcusable. The décor was garish & the barn design leads to a cacophonous echo throughout. The majority of the staff seemed apathetic at best– most especially the manager who just appeared annoyed that there were guests in the building. Besides our lovely waiter, no one smiled or seemed to realize that it’s called ‘hospitality’ for a reason. A Greek tragedy in the making.

From the outside, this is one of those intriguing looking places that begs you to stop. Even the inside appears like an old Tex-Mex style set-up. But, that’s where the good stuff stops. I can get past a wrongly poured mixed drink and flat soda. I can even get by with a wilted salad, as long as my dinner is good and service meets basic expectations… But the meal had no taste, with steak being way overlooked and the potato… well, let’s say that it needed to be cooked. The ONLY thing worse than the meal was service. Our waitress would disappear for 20 minutes at a time to go outside and light up. After each pack, she would come back in smelling like an ashtray. When my friend left exactly 15% tip(to the penny,) she followed him outside to sarcastically tell him he forgot his copy of the receipt. He chuckled and said he was trying to forget the whole experience.
