Stay away! They were shut down for over 24 food violations! Lots of them were multiple offenses. Besides that the service has always been poor and very slow. Also it is very pricey

This restaurant used to be in my top 3 for sushi up until I read the health violation report on March 16, 2016 on and now I’m not sure we’ll ever be back. We actually called for take out on March 16 and the woman who answered the phone said the kitchen was closed and she didn’t know when they’d reopen. Sure enough a week later the report hit the news. While the sushi is great I have concerns over the number of violations and why the owners and managers didn’t do anything about it.

I have never had a great meal here, and now I will NOT go back! Read the Dirty Dining Report or look up the health department records! This is a place that is always busy!!! The prices are up there, the bar is always packed, so is every table! There should be no reason for them to have a roach problem along with multiple other health code violations! There were several live roaches seen on food in the kitchen! How could an owner, manager, or even the kitchen staff work like this! How could they serve people food with a clear conscience??? I will never step foot in here again! Check out the reports for yourself! Disgusting!

Food was good, service was great. Menu definitely mixes ethnicities but I like that. Definitely recommend.

this place has zero excuse. they have had multiple violations with coachroches. infested with them. 25 or more food stored on the floor. do not go here. they make to much money to have that many violations. avoid them at all cost. look up their health report online. pigs. they do not deserve any business. shut them down. they need to move out of town. never will i step into that place. seriously, not even mcdonald’s ever had that nany violations or even sea side inn. sickening. those who have recently posted positive must be friends or management who are lying. seek the truth. pasco county health department with show you.

You know those restaurants that mix different ethnicities and have an overwhelmingly large menu, and you think, «oh man, this is gonna suck»? That they should pick a specialty and just stick to that? Well this is one of those places. It is half sushi and half Italian, which is a horrible combination. The weird thing is, though, is that it didn’t suck! It was actually pretty amazing. I’d heard about this place a few times, but more specifically about the«What the How» sushi roll. It’s the most well known roll they have and it’s not even on the menu. It’s a whole lobster tail tempura fried, wrapped with avocado, asparagus, and cream cheese, and then topped with beef tenderloin. The lobster is still hot, which kind of melts the cream cheese, which adds a little something extra. It sounds terrible — lobster and beef together — but somehow it works. Do yourself a favor and order it! We also had the lightening roll which was delicious and I also highly recommend. There was one other roll, but it didn’t even leave enough of an impression for me to remember the name. While we didn’t order anything from the Italian side of the menu, our friends son liked his spaghetti and oversized giant meatball. The beer was cold, the sushi was fresh and delicious, and the service was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back when I’m in Tampa next time!

We were intrigued, an Italian/Sushi restaurant? Could they pull it off?(If you are reading this, please read to the end!!) We visited the Trinity location on a busy Saturday night, and sat at the sushi bar. We were greeted by the hostess and told they needed to clear off our spaces. 5 minutes later, they still had not been cleaned. So we sat down anyway and waited. Where our seats were located, we had a full view of the Sushi chefs and their work station. The longer we sat the more we noticed. There were washcloths on the cutting boards where the sushi was being prepared and the floors were littered with food and debris. Granted, the restaurant was packed and the chefs were working double time. If nothing else, I wish management wouldn’t seat customers at this vantage point(it only seats 5 additional ppl at the sushi bar). The longer we waited, the more our trepidation grew over the quality of our food. Not an enjoyable experience. WITHTHATSAID… our sushi was extremely tasty and the Stuffed Spinach Bread was very good,(although it was more like a Meatball Sub, the spinach comprised very little of the dish). Our server was upbeat and very attentive With regard to the food Grille 54 definitely pulled it off!) I’m glad the outcome of our experience was a good one, but spending the first half of our dinner questioning and observing, what we considered to be less than sanitary conditions, obviously colored our dining experience. It could have been avoided, if management just stuck to seating customers at the bar with the refrigerated sushi cases in front of them. That or ensure the sushi prep area is cleaned routinely throughout the night.(and of course, keep the washcloths clear of the food). We look forward to coming back for the buffet style Sunday Brunch soon. But, if you are going to visit another night, definitely inquire about their specials. They have quite a few.

I am from Michigan and we come down to visit family the first restaurant we go to is grill 54 and it never disappoints, I highly recommend this establishment. The sushi was awesome and every meal on the menu is great. My daughter ordered the salmon and she said«it was the best she ever had».

This is my go to place in Trinity. Just happens to be less than a mile from my home as well which is nice. The food is delicious but I have a couple of things I wish they would work on. One thing is that the food is very heavy. I would love to see some healthier choices on the menu. Another thing is some items on their menu aren’t available anymore like the lamb burger. Overall a great place to eat though!

We got the lobster and crab dip it was excellent. All of the sushi we have tried here has been great. Tonight we tried shrimp scampi. The shrimp was good, Noodles and sauce were a bit bland. The service is also always great. We will be back to try another day.

The food here is good and they have a wide variety of things which is nice. It is a little pricey for this area though — I dined here with someone who is normally not cost conscious and that was the first thing they noticed. The portions are decent sizes at least and I have to say that the sushi is very, very good — they do have specials for that and those are fairly priced.

If you enjoy sushi, appetizers with friends, and a nicely designed bar… then you will enjoy Grille 54. However, every time I go there and order an entrée I am disappointed. My wife loves sushi so that’s the only reason I return. Grille 54 is a perfect example of a restaurant over thinking the simple things just for the sake of be different or «upscale». I ordered the kobe beef burger, medium rare, but what I got was an explanation for the long wait. This burger was beyond well-done. Only the edges had the juices left whereas the middle was so dry I couldn’t eat but half of the burger. I’m a fan of different takes on the burger but there are just some things that should be staples: cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I will say that the staff is very professional and easy to deal with.

Currently here having Sunday Brunch. Service is slow and place is nowhere near capacity. Food in buffet is nowhere near room temp. It is all processed and very subpar taste. Place is dark but you can tell its dirty and poorly unkept. Dishes at buffet still dirty. Looked on What the Health Florida app and the Dept. of Health gave this place a U for unsatisfactory. Numerous examples of health violations. I’d avoid this place.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. Usually, when a restaurant claims expertise in a lot of different food genres, they are typically not good at any of them. Grill 54 proved that there are exceptions. First, the sushi. Nailed it! Our table got 5 different rolls and 4 of them were really good. The 5th needed a bit of a kick, some spice or something to set it off. Pretty good average, though! Next, because my manager suggested we all get steaks to go with the sushi(and I really thought about just getting a salad, honest), I ordered the 6 oz filet; the smallest steak on the menu. Wow! Medium rare made it happen. Tender, juicy, flavorful and with an almost velvety texture. So good! The aforementioned salad? Well, I had one of those too and it wasn’t great. Decent mix of drinks and people here as well. I noted that the ladies were much better dressed than the guys. Step it up, fellas. Service was attentive and helpful. The check wasn’t appalling. Give Grill 54 a try and I think you’ll love it.

We sit up at the sushi bar on the far left so we can watch the sushi being prepped by Nam. He is amazing to watch in action. We usually just order sushi rolls of the menu, but this time, my wife and I each got a bent box, i got mine with the Nam Bomb roll, one of my faves. It came with lobster rangoon, which was so good we ordered it as an additional side to have more. Also came with misogyny soup, the best miso soup I have ever had. It had plenty of the usual in it but also had shitake mushrooms. Excellent lunch. And great service.

I like it here. I’ve been for lunch, but recently came for brunch and it was really good. I LOVE the do it yourself Bloody Mary bar! The food is typical of a brunch buffet and they had several different cooking stations and mimosas were included in the $ 22.50 price. The food was pretty tasty and the service was excellent. Will go back soon.

One of our favorite spots in the area. The«what the how roll» is out favorite! Lobster seafood roll topped with steak? Yes please! We live in Orlando, but come down to New Port Richie occasionally and we always try to stop in. The servers have always been friendly and helpful, but they really shined today when we brought our toddler son. They were prompt, cheerful and helpful, I just wish I remembered our main servers name. Other favorite dishes include the duck wings, and the kani-su — actually the whole cold salad sampler is pretty good. The sunday atmosphere is somewhat upscale sports bar; but they have added a brunch which offers a diverse array of some of their best items. Fresh raw bar, omelets made to order, «football food» like wings, potato skins, and corn doggies. Breakfast Yummies like eggs, sausage, biscuits, Cajun potatoes and chicken fried steak. A wide selection of salads and a carving station. Fantastic!

Hit this place up on burger day. Got a slight upcharge for mushrooms and swiss as a topping which was totally cool. The 5.00 burger deal came with fries, and a fresh pickle spear. Sure, they weren’t flame grilled, but they tasted made to order, fresh, and the fries were an unexpected bonus. Cooked on a flat top to perfection this proved to be a juicy lunchtime burger spot. Just watch your timing during the lunch crunch!
