Expensive but very welcomeing excellent décor couches fireplace patio. Upscale place just east of town.

My husband and I decided to try out Proof. We have been to The Blue Door a few times, but thought that we’d mix it up. We arrived early, because we are parents so we don’t stay out late anymore. We were some of the only people in the bar at first. We were greeted and made our selections. My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a glass of wine. Once we finished our drinks, a different server took over (not sure where the only one went since they hadn’t been open long) and we ordered refills. She came back to tell me that my wine was out, but brought me a half glass. She said that she would comp my wine and bring me a different Chardonnay. I said that was fine and continued to enjoy my evening with my husband. It started pouring so we decided to leave. We paid our bill and headed home. I was shocked when I looked at the bill later to see that she didn’t comp me for the wine as promised. Not only that, but she charged me full price for a half glass of wine. I admit that we should have looked at the bill before we paid, but in our hurry to get home we trusted to server to do what she said. I have to say that we thought the bar was beautiful, but we probably won’t be back any time soon.

Dear Marthug you were an amazing waitress. We had a ton of fun with you and appreciate how you took care of us. You even cared that our drinks were in the appropriate glasses with our balls properly cared for. The cocktails here are on point and rival any mixology bar in my home town of Vegas. The Parliaments are an amazing cocktail. The Nodding Donkey and the Fitzgerald were also big hits.

Enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. Great drink selection. Prices are not bad. The bartender was great as well as the waitress.

Me and my husband absolutely loved this Bar! The cocktails were delish! The atmosphere was relaxing and the décor is modern and chic! Highly recommend!

I came in on 12/​26/​2015 around 4:45pm, Cocktails at this place are awesome, I ordered the Diablo Suerte, the cocktail was very well made, nice combination of flavors, The ambiance of the place was awesome, classy place, interesting modern décor, this is the kind of place you would expect in cities 5x as big. the only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating was because the server seemed a bit aloof, I’m guessing she was new, we had small complication with her mixing up our credit cards, but other then that the drinks were great. I’ll definitely be back when I visit Odessa.

The parliament is probably the best old fashioned I have ever had. Call it a speak easy, call it a mixology bar, whatever you want, but it was good. They do not serve food though.

I literally cannot believe that Odessa has a bar this nice. This place rocked. The atmosphere is like a Vegas lounge and the drinks were excellent.

Truly a specialty drink spot. A hidden gem in the otherwise abysmal night life that is Odessa/​Midland. With an upscale and friendly atmosphere, Proof is sure to be the place you end your night. The superb, unique cocktails are only exceeded by the warm and welcoming demeanor of all who partake, especially the owners. If you want to enjoy a great drink and feel good about it, this is the only place to be within 50 miles!!!

I like to be succinct in my observations, so I will say this, I want to love what I do for a living as much as the proprietor, Luis does. This bar is phenomenal. Don’t make the mistake of missing it.

This bar is amazing! It definitely feels like a bar that you’d find in a big city. The atmosphere inside and on the patio is great. Their drink menu has great selections of cocktails. I LOVE the mule. The bartenders and wait staff are professional. My only complaint is that they close at midnight on the weekends.

Four stars due to great décor/​vibe, excellent drink menu, and location. I almost rated Proof with 3 stars due to staff. The gentlemen that I have seen there two times that are most likely owners or managers, are personable and professional. The bartenders with the exception of the young man, need customer service fine tuning. The young male bartender is welcoming and engages the customer sitting at the bar. The other bartenders (3 – 4 females) need to engage and pay attention to the customers, especially those sitting at the bar. I by no means want a bartender to have constant conversation with the patrons, but the two times I have visited, I had to ask for a second drink (after giving ample opportunity to be asked). Female bartenders were engaged in their own conversation and on the 3^rd of July, were occupied by throwing poppers around the bar near customers and the waitress. On this particular evening (July 3^rd) the blonde waitress seemed to have to supervise the young bartenders. The throwing of the poppers seemed to annoy other customers as well.
Kudos to the management, the bar itself, and the young male bartender that suggested drinks, explained the difference between drinks on the menu and familiar drinks! I will go back again, hoping the negatives will work themselves out with experience.

Great service… But, need something to nibble, nuts, wasabi peas, pretzels. Would stay for another round, but feeling peckish. Music is good, but cutting out, which is annoying. Be a great place to sit and have a cigar outside, but no smoking even outside?!? It’s new, so hopefully they’ll get the kinks worked out… Odessa needs a cool place!

Everybody greets you with a smile in a special place where you can relax. The patio is very nice with cushioned sofas around the fireplace. The prices of the drinks are not out of line for an establishment as nice as this. Nothing else like it around.

West Texas cocktail culture has arrived & Proof is doing it Right! One of the greatest places in Odessa to enjoy quality craft drinks & perfection. Proof features an Extensive cocktail menu. The ambiance is gorgeous, you could set this lounge in NYC or San Francisco no problem. The bartenders do a great job, Proof maintains the high standard. Respectable whiskey list, exclusive cocktails & inspiring staff to hold down a craft cocktail experience!
