I love this place. Sad to say, the last 3 – 5 times I’ve driven by the store has been closed.

I did it all for the pupusas. And although the cabbage slaw is pretty good, the pupusa itself is lacking in flavor. I’ve been here many times to get the pupusas mostly because I can’t find any other place that has them. I’ve found another place recently, and probably won’t come back here for a while.

I’ve been going here for fourteen years and they never disappoint!!! The cheese and loroco papusas are amazing!!! I can’t comment on the other food because I only get the papusas. Customer service is not great but I don’t care. I come for the food anyways.

I was introduced to this restaurant and to Papusas by a friend. Until then, I had no idea this place even existed. This is a family-owned business run by hard-working, honest folk… which I appreciate. It is not a food chain, doesn’t have high-end décor, new furnishings, etc. If you’re able to get past the somewhat shabby/rundown interior, you will love this place. My friend and I now make it a point to come at least twice a month. The pork Papusas have become my favorite but there is a good variety of El Salvadoran/Mexican food.

If you like pupusas this is «NOT» the place for you. I ordered 3 pupusas when I got my order the pupusas were so soggy and the pupusas dough was raw. I asked the server for SOME extra napkins and the lady only brought us one for the whole family. The place was dirty(tables) I’m not going back to that place. I wasn’t impressed las pupusas didn’t taste good at all

If you like pupusas, this is the place! It’s a hole-in-the-wall with excellent food. If you’re hungry for a bigger meal, don’t miss their macho burrito for only about $ 6. This feeds both my husband and I and can’t be beat!

As far as I know, this is the ONLY place in Ogden to find Pupusas! After trying pupusas in another town, I was on a hunt to find them close to home. We finally made it to Amanecer. This place has been here for years and now I am upset that I have been driving by! We tried 3 different types. The bean and cheese, the cheese and Loroco, and the pork. All 3 were fantastic and the flavors were divine. The cabbage slaw that they serve with the meal tastes pickled and adds a great flavor to your meal. We also ordered a side of beans and rice. They come combined and there is corn and other veggies in the rice which is an added benefit of taste. I highly recommend you give this place a shot!
