First let me say this review is ONLY about Allegiant airlines. But since that is the biggest reason most people will read these reviews, I thought I should give some warning. Let me start by saying I have used Allegiant several times for the quick trip from Ogden Utah to Mesa AZ. It’s about an hour flight so the lack of space and comforts on the plane weren’t an issue. If all things go just right, this can be a cheaper alternative to a «real» airline. However, if you have a problem, forget about getting any resolution. I arrived at the airport well ahead of the scheduled flight time which had been delayed twice. I went to the ticket counter because I had a prepaid bag to check. There were absolutely no employees at the counter. With several of us in line and no one around, I decided to go to TSA(in the Ogden airport there is only one flight in and one out twice a week, so TSA is just down the same line) and ask if anyone was around. The TSA workers said they didn’t know where Allegiant was but would go and try and find someone. Meanwhile, they assisted all passengers that didn’t need to check luggage. After about a 10 minute wait, a young woman came out and told me I was too late to check my bag and therefore could not board the plane. She stated that the company has a strict 2 hour prior to flight time rule. The actual rule on their website states that you must be at the ticket counter at least 1 hour prior to flight departure. I was at the gate about 1:20 minutes prior to actual departure. So, I was not allowed to board the plane. Had prepaid for a round trip and rental car for the week all through their website and was told no refund on any of it. Immediately, when I got home I called their ‘help’ line.(Do yourself a favor right now and try to find an actual phone number to call.) After a 34 minute hold, I explained my situation to Karen and she proceeded to again misquote me about the 2 hour rule, which is listed as a recommendation on their site. Now I have had to dispute the charge through my bank and will see how much if any of the $ 475 dollars I get back. Part of that refund is for the money I paid for priority boarding! Now that’s kinda funny. Update 1÷6÷16 One final note. Although they refused to let me on the flight more than an hour before it left, they refused to refund any money whatsoever. It was a round trip, one checked bag, one carry on, upgraded seat both ways, priority boarding and a rental car for the week I was to be in AZ. Since Allegiant only flies out of Ogden on Mondays and Fridays, my entire trip is cancelled, yet they will not even refund a dime. Still charging me for the return flight I obviously won’t be on and the baggage fees they will not check and the rental car I cannot use. Wow. Using Allegiant WILL catch up with you eventually, and then you’ll do what I will do… never fly them again. Sad, cause they are very convenient to where I live but it isn’t worth the risk. Satisfied customers is not in their business model.

Super small. Super fast. Super convenient. I love this airport. I’ve been flying out of here quite often over the last year, and it’s so very hard to go back to the big airports. Right now Allegiant Airlines is about the only major carrier here(although I did see a small Delta Connection flight here?) and so the choices are very limited. But if you have the opportunity and are willing to roll the dice on Allegiant, it may be worth it. First, there’s only one big flight leaving at a time. The most I’ve ever waited in line for ticket and security is about 15 minutes. There’s never going to be a bigger crowd when you just have one flight leaving at a time. I wouldn’t recommend it, but I’ve shown up 30 minutes before departure and still made it in to the gate area and waited to board. The whole thing is a walk of 50 yards, from parking to ticket, to gate. Second, parking. Right now their parking system isn’t installed, so parking has been free over the last year. Eventually they’re going to make it a priority to fix it, but until then, it’s free! Even when it was(?) running, the posted rate is $ 3.50 per day. Third, security. They’re so nice. No barking. They look you in the eye. There’s only one line, and they’re super thoughtful. It’s human. It’s humane. Other bonuses: The Auger Café is in the airport. If you want some down home diner food. People stop by just for that, as it’s not past security so anyone can eat there. I haven’t tried it, but just looking and smelling it seems like a nifty little local joint. The men’s restroom is amazing. I mean, it’s just weird. You go down the stairs and land in this big lobby with a black and white checkered floor. There’s nothing in that part of the restroom. Then in back there are a couple of stalls. I swear I remember a shower there, and then in the back by the urinals there is a door that time forgot. I have no idea what lies beyond it, but it may open the portal to an alternate universe. Or just be storage. Either way. One thing I wish was different(and this is not the fault of the airport) is the public transportation. I once flew out of Ogden but back into SLC, which left my car stuck at the airport. I hopped on FrontRunner and made it to Ogden, but there is no transportation from the FrontRunner station in Ogden to the airport. There’s a bus that gets you sorta close, but you still have to hoof it a mile or so. I love this little airport. Although Allegiant has been hit or miss(mostly hit, to be fair) the airport is perfect.
