Was visiting form California with family from New Jersey. Went one night to the restaurant and the food and service were great. The shrimp appetizer was awesome, shrimp cooked perfectly, and lot’s of garlic. On the way out we met the owner Kathy and asked about the pizza. She described it so wonderfully we came back another night to try it out. There were four of us an they set up a custom table by the fireplace to accommodate us. The pizza did not disappoint! Definitely will come back next time we are in Orgunquit

One of the cozier and more upscale restaurants in Ogunquit. The service is very welcoming and friendly, but also often what I would call«summer rushed». The food ranges from extremely good to just ok depending on what you order. On the best end: flatbreads, prosciutto and melon(perfectly ripe melon and good prosciutto), ceasar salad, roast half chicken. On the less successful end: chicken marsala(overwhelmed by some odd combination of marsala and tomato sauce to excess), linguini with clams(it was ok, but not as good as most), pasta three ways(unimpressive meatball and chicken meatball, good sausage). The steaks looked great, but we didn’t order them so will defer to those who did. The simpler and more basic you order, the better the food. As they try to be more complex, it sometimes falls short. That being said, it’s a very warm and enjoyable place for dinner and we came multiple times during our stay in Ogunquit.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We had a reservation and it still took an hour and a half to get our food. They served every table around us including ones who arrived after we ordered. They left us waiting and only had the waitresses come over occasionally to tell us the food was on it’s way. At the end we asked for the manager which they refused to send over. Finally an «assistant manager» who was dressed like a waiter came to our table and was less than helpful. He claimed they«waited to put in our order because we were a bigger party». After arguing with him he sent over a woman who said she’s the owner. I don’t know for sure if she’s the owner but I can tell you she was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. Horrible service and horrible management. Needless to say we will never be back.

Meh… Veal Marsala was good BUT the marinara sauce/spaghetti sauce is TERRIBLE! Good grief has the chef ever tasted it? Salmon was good(small portion for the price) clam chowder had way too many potatoes and not enough clams) wine list was nice.

Beyond the best place to eat in OGT! The food is so fresh and the staff makes you feel so at home.

My husband and I went here for Mothers Day dinner. We were pleasantly surprised that for the special day all ladies entrees were half off. how nice! I had a shrimp cocktail which was good. The waitress was a young lady who served us well. She gave me a wine recommendation that was right on. I had the lasagna and hubby had the hot sausage on Spaghetti. We both LOVED our entrees. The lasagna tasted homemade, as did the sausage. I don’t for the life of me understand the negative reviews. We are picky eaters and our food was delicious! And they have spumoni for dessert… a true Italian restaurant lovers dessert-just wonderful!!! We don’t say this about many restaurants, but we WILL be going back-we had a great day experience!

Good service, delicious food. The seafood risotto is to die for, although the seafood fra diavolo wasn’t great. The service is always slow, but the food is usually worth the wait. I’ve visit once a year during my trip to Ogunquit. It’s good, but I wouldn’t say the best in the area.

Came here with the family on vacation. Fantastic service! I ordered the braised short rib and it was just as great as the service was. A tiny bit slower, but it was very relaxing. Everyone loved their meals. We’ve been here in the past and I’m sure we’ll end up here again. Cioppino was giant, delicious, but a huge serving.

This is a nice place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is excellent and presents well served in proper etiquette. Folks leave your flip flops and hawain shirts at home. If you want a diner go someplace else.

Good price put the pizza is so oily, to much fat juice… Impossible to taste the vegetables in pizza.

Although I have had many great meals at Robertos, today I felt completely inspired to write a review about the amazing short rib risotto that we had last night. I can honestly say one of the best short rib dishes that I have ever had. Do yourselves a favor and check it out:)

Back in the day, Roberto’s(which is the main restaurant this pizzeria is attached to) was the place to be in Ogunquit. We’re talking like late 1980s /early 1990s. Back then, Robert himself(the establishment’s namesake) was in the kitchen and his then-wife Kathy ran front-of-house. Today, Robert is long gone and Roberto’s is the definition of «meh» dining: not the worst, but certainly not worth the money. We dropped $ 55 on a Caesar salad some summer kid in the kitchen(most likely) couldn’t bother pick out the rotten lettuce or stem (see photo) and two medium pizzas, one of which we had to send back because it was barely cooked and had been topped with raw arugula(yes, some of that was rotten, too). Sauce: sweet. Crust: nicely thin but essentially tasteless. Beer: bottom of the keg Stella Artois with almost no bubbles for $ 5. It should be noted, too, that we dined at Roberto’s Pizzeria was dead quiet; it was post-Labor Day and there was one table eating when we arrived and one table about to be served. Highlight: my 10-year-old daughter said«This water is good…»

How can I say, soooo disappointed. And we were regulars, not summer stroll people. We have dined here several times, but after our experience tonight, we don’t be back. I ordered the chicken picatta as I have in the the past, and tonights serving was so loaded with melted butter, it made my stomach churn after the second bite. After my husband was on his second to last bite of his meal, we were able to flag down our server to ask for something else. He was less than apologetic, nor willing or wanting to keep a customer happy. The bigger disappointment came when we approached the owner, who was irritated and argumentative. We will not be back!

We had a wonderful meal at Roberto’s! Waitstaff was friendly, prompt and accommodating. Outdoor patio that was somewhat sheltered from busy Shore Drive made for a wonderful ambience as well. Pizzas were very tasty — we had the Calabrese and Vegetali — and had very generous portions of toppings! I would definitely return to Roberto’s!

It was a really bad night there which is so disappointing as we had great meals there last summer. The service was horrible. The waitress was lousy, didn’t help with the menu, only took half of the tables drink order and left because she«got buzzed by the kitchen». Food was not that great. My Linguini Vongola was terrible. The clams were very gritty. The broth was very dark grey and sandy. So much so, it ruined the pasta. Won’t return there again. I should have looked at all of the one star reviews before we booked the table.

Wow, I’m surprised and disappointed to see all the negative reviews on Roberto’s. My family has been dining sporadically at Roberto’s for the past 30 years mostly when we used to summer in Ogunquit years ago. Now my folks have moved to Maine and so did I and so we go when we can. I just spent the past two weekends in Ogunquit… one for a birthday weekend and one for a sisters getaway. I dined at Roberto’s for two Saturday nights in a row and had the most pleasant of experiences AND the most tastiest of foods. The first Saturday, we were celebrating our son’s 3rd birthday, and we all had wonderful food. I had the baked lasagna, a favorite, and it was comfort food at its finest. Also, our waiter and the wait staff along with the owner came out with the biggest piece of chocolate cake I’ve ever seen for my son and sang him a rousing happy birthday to his utter delight. Then, this past Saturday night, I dined with my sister, and we had excellent service, wonderful entrees(penne bolognese for me, and a half lobster with shrimp scampi over cappellini for her) and drinks. It was exactly how we remembered when we used to dine with our parents here all those years ago. It was delightful and I would happily go back and encourage anyone who’s vacationing in Ogunquit to give it a shot. While I have not yet tried their pizza, the hosts of our B&B, both on separate occasions, raved as it being the best in town.
