Studio East Motel

Every time I visit Ogunquit off season, I always end up at studio east motel!
Michelle is so nice and welcoming.
The rooms are perfect and the prices are even better! A cozy feel and the location allows us to leave our car and walk everywhere we want to go!

We stayed here for one night which was nice since many places have a two night minimum in August. The location is PERFECT. You are steps away from the ogunquit shops and ogunquit beach. The marginal way is also steps away and we walked it to get to our dinner in Perkins cove. Our room was spacious with everything we needed. I accident forgot my hair dryer and there was one right under the sink! A kitchenette was a money saver too. The staff was very friendly.

Welcomed with open arms and a smile. Clean and spacious room. Downtown Ogunquit. 10 minute walk to the beach. Great find. Well maintained and very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!!!

1. Michelle at the front desk is the raddest phone personality of all time. No, really. I called and we spoke as if we’d known each other for 20 years. 5 minutes later we were in the room.
2. No one could beat the price.
3. Room is clean and really nice.
4. Location is… umm. ITS THE CENTER OF TOWN and two minutes from the shore.
5. Michelle is ALL-​TIME.
Will be back. Period.

Loved this place! My friends and I decided to take a last minute trip to Ogunquit, we had no idea where we were going to stay but we were so lucky to find the Studio East! Michelle, the front desk person, was so friendly and eager to help us get situated. She even hauled a cot up to the second floor for us so that we could all fit comfortably. The location is excellent and the prices are super reasonable. I will definitely be back!

Love this place. Will definitely stay again. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, clean and pet friendly! Perfect location to the beach and downtown Ogunquit. Can’t wait to go back!

The rooms are clean, roomy and exceptionally equipped. The place is very well cared for and charming. It’s also very affordable and offers free wifi, free coffee and tea in the morning. They also have a great in ground hot tub.
The locale is perfect. It’s in the center of town and about 5 of blocks from the beach.
The staff is AMAZING! Michelle, thanks for making our stay extra special.
Most importantly, they’re dog friendly — which was a huge benefit for us.

In the 20 or so years that I «come home to Ogunquit» I have looked and passed this quaint property thinking that I would try it sometime. Well, sometime arrived last fall when I was planning my return trip. My usual choices were more costly or not available, so I went to the Studio East Hotel web site. I stumbled across a few specials that I qualify for that are not an option at other properties. I made the reservation and in fairly high hopes made the trip.
The room was a pretty good size, located in the main house. The room was not small, not big… dare I say comfortibly cozy. The furniture appeared to be fairly new, the bed very comfortible, and the kitchenette area was better stocked than some chain properties. The fridge and microwave were both a welcomed site and were greatly used during my stay. The décor was soft and appealing… not necessarily New England inspired, but to the tone that welcomed me and helped me relax and enjoy my stay. The only criticism that I would offer is that my bathroom was fairly small, with a shower stall (IM an non HWP guy) but this is by far not a deal killer for me. The room was SPOTESSLY clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. Plentiful parking and what… a 2 minute walk to the traffic center meant I walk everywhere I could possibly want to go, rain or shine.
I had a blissful 4 day stay here. I promise I will be back!

I am giving this motel three stars because it was very clean! I booked what I believed to be a suite with a kitchenette. Their suite consisted of a biggish room with outdated furnishings. Just two queen beds with those old motel bedspreads, and a mini table with three chairs, one of which was broken. Besides that there was Much like most motels-​a mini table and lamp combo and two small chairs, not comfortable sitting chairs, more like fabric covered dining chairs. The kitchenette consisted of a few plates and bowls, a standard hotel mini fridge and the smallest microwave I’ve ever seen. The room was sold as one of its nicest and did have a decent porch. However, it’s placement was right next to the office and you could hear people coming and going continuously. I can’t stress enough how thin the walls were. It was dog friendly which is why I grabbed it, but a suite or kitchenette it was not. I travel a bit, and this room was really akin to a standard double queen Hampton or Marriott but much older. Kudos to the housekeepers though. It also sits right on Main street which if not for the thin walls would be nice, but I could hear peoples conversation as they walked by. For someone looking for a cheap, clean room close to town and a walk to the beach though this is fine. Just don’t bother with the suite and save your money to eat out. Won’t be doing any cooking in this room.
