They get better with each visit. The breakfast burritos and chicken axiote are my standard go to when I can’t make up my mind, but many lovely items to choose from. Stick to Mexican fare though. American foods on the menu are basically to please kids that just won’t eat anything outside their safe zone.

I used to love this place. My family and I would come here often but upon my return I got a burrito that totally ruined it for me. The avocado was hard and unripened. The black beans and brown rice were flavor less. The tortilla was dry and hard. The salsa was good at least.

Food lacked in flavor. Workers seemed like they are just there to make money and not care about the customers. Just lame food. Chips and drink was good… couldn’t mess that up.

Awful! I won’t go back, the taco salad was over salted, the chicken strips meal was mediocre, for the price it should’ve been better

I asked for no dairy, and my burrito came with sour cream. That’s fine, except the cashier acted like it was my fault and an inconvenience. My husband specifically ordered the Mexican cola. She brought him a coke, and when he said«umm, is this coke? Because I asked for the Mexican cola.» She said«yep», walked away, and we just bought«another» Mexican cola. I started to bring out my Spanish in hopes that she’d understand us better, but it couldn’t make up for poor listening, poor attitude and poor customer service. Food was ok but after that debacle I recommend you stick to Sharky’s.

This place really rubs me the wrong way. I used to go there very often(I had a roommate who’d work there), and used to get pretty good service. Suddenly, the staff began to act rudely toward me and prepare me bad food. Every time I’d order a burrito or taco I would always find chicken bones in them, or they’d leave out some ingredient. They don’t update their menu, and each cook there prepares an item differently. There’s no consistency at this Fresh Grill. It’s really a hit or miss kind of place. I’d go to the one in Ojai but that ones not too much better. I’ve gotten food poisoning there and it always takes 30+ minutes to get your food if you don’t call ahead. Lame.

I’ve eaten here several times before and generally would rate it a 3.5, but this mornings experience was a solid 2 at best. I ordered a steak and egg breakfast burrito. What i received as 60% potato(no mention on menu), Ridiculous amounts of potato, seriously like a full potato wrapped in a tortilla, and I ordered a steak and egg burrito. The remaining 40% would be 1 egg if that, and a few small pieces of way over cooked chewy steak. oh yah, and NOCHEESE?! Who makes a breakfast burrito without cheese? I had 3 bites(all freaking potato) and took it apart, tried to remove the potato but in the end fed to my dog. Wont be going back to this location.

We stopped here on our trip through Ojai and we were not disappointed. The menu includes an impressive array of Mexican food at very reasonable prices. The décor in the restaurant is also nice. Jim and Rob seem to be interested in old Ojai photos and placed them throughout the restaurant with interesting captions. It was a nice touch and got me more interested in the town. The food was good. I ordered the nachos w/carne asada. There was plenty of cheese and beans and meat. The steak pieces seemed a little plain but were still very tasty. The soda machine seemed well balanced and my diet Pepsi didn’t taste like it had too much or too little syrup — always a good sign. There’s a salsa bar with five house salsas. The menu prices are reasonable and range from $ 6 to $ 8. Decent vegetarian options available. Things that could use some work: no public restrooms. I think the carne asada recipe could use a little more spice and flavor. Also the salsa at the salsa bar was a little bland. The mild salsa just taste like blended tomatoes. In summary: nothing groundbreaking but a great place to stop in for a bite of Mexican and a little bit of Ojai history.

I really like Jim and Robs but the thing is this location always gets my order wrong! I get to think why is it that if I ask for no tomatoes, I still get tomatoes. I will highly recommend to go to the Jim and Robs in Ojai. The food tastes the same in both locations. Alota Tostada is the bomb in this place

these guys are SO hit or miss. Sometimes pretty good sometime horrible service or incorrect orders. If you want great service and higher quality… go to the Jim & Robs in OJAI on Ojai Ave. Owner operated. This one is not and you can taste see feel the difference and pride of ownership.

Stopped by on a whim while in Ojai for a few hours. I had the Pozole Verde and my son had a cheeseburger. While the cheeseburger looked great, with a fresh-baked roll and perfectly cooked medium, my Pozole was without a doubt the best chicken pozole verde I have ever had. It was so good, I went into the kitchen and thanked the cook personally! Unfortunately its only available Friday-Sunday.

My favorite restaurant between the Ojai Valley Inn and the 101⁄33 interchange. I ate many a lunch here during high school, usually sticking with the tri-tip burrito. I seriously question anyone who eats at the various fast food establishments nearby, unless it is a cost issue. Jim and Rob’s forever!

We always stop by here on our way back from Casitas or Ojai. The food is very flavorful, fast, convenient, and reasonably priced. The menu has plenty of variety for the whole crowd including kid pleasers and burgers. This is not what I would call traditional mex but lighter without sacrificing flavor. This location is hiding in the end of a little strip mall next to Domino’s and opposite Subway. There is an outdoor seating area with two huge picnic tables.

Although the food is great, they close and open as they wish, even if you are a loyal customer, if they decide to close early you’re out of luck this past Saturday they decided to close a little before 8 o clock with no signs of early closure and there staff is anything but friendly.

Some of the best Mexican food in Ojai. Take it from a local. The staff here is wonderful and know me by name. The food is amazing, Rajas Con Crema tacos and the Alota Tostada, as well as the Enchilada plate, are my favorite items in the menu. The also make a hell of a burger. It’s a smaller location than the one in town, and sans wifi and soft serve, though they do sell alcohol here, and have nice outdoor seating. This location is across the street from me so I eat here often. Just flat out great food.

Jim N Rob’s is the best fresh grill in Ventura and Ojai! I eat here often. Kids love it and the family love it too! Jim N Rob’s is also my go to caterer for events!
