The burritos are fantastic! They were quick, made to order and delicious! The ingredients were fresh. Need I say more? I don’t live here, but if I did, I would eat here all the time! The food is reasonably priced and quick.

I have been checking out the local burrito places for veggie burritos and Ojai Tortilla House is my favorite veggie burrito — period. These guys make their food with LOVE — something lacking in so many places — I love this team who take their food seriously!

We found this place on a complete lucky whim. WE were visiting Ojai and we were walking past this tiny place and looking inside. Two different strangers simultaneously came up to us to rave about this place. They suggested the burritos and quesadillas and said they were gigantic and beyond delicious! ANDTHEYWERE!!! We had the pork, and came back later to get more for the kids at home. Prices are really reasonable. Service is fast, friendly and food is DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommend, you will be delighted you did.

I really enjoy coming and having a burrito at this restaurant. It’s not common to have coleslaw in a burrito, but they have manage to make it work with their burritos. If you want a good tasty burrito, you can count on their burritos.

Yummmmy. Homemade tortillas. Love this little gem!!! Puts Chipotle to shame! Looks like it is family owned which is awesome Once they run out of stuff. . They are out. Probably because they rather have small batches of a quality product. One of the best guacs i have had in a while. They also have a selection of drinks and desserts to pair with your tacos y burritos.. ;)

Absolutely love the food, family owned place. Price point is perfect! Such a cute little place to grab a quick tasty bite. They DO charge for a side of salsa & don’t provide any tortilla chips… the only issue I had. But, the fact that you spend only $ 5 on a burrito or $ 2 on a taco makes it worth it. Just ask for extra on your food instead.

Definitely one of the best places to grab a street taco! Burritos are great as well! Great prices! Can’t wait to eat there again.

Tried for first time today. SOGOOD. Very small so it looks intimidatingly crowded but they move through the line very quickly. Had the burrito and it was huge. Only $ 5. Very tasty. Nice people behind the counter.

Just had one of the best burritos ever! Just got done with a 20mile mtn bike ride in Ojai and was hungry. Mexican sounded tasty so I Unilocaled it. This is the place I decided to try. So glad I did!!! This place is legit! Get here early or you may not have many choices of meat. I got here at 3pm(they close at 5) and they were down to 4 servings of pork. Good thing I like carnitas! Super fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and fast service. What more could you ask for? When in Ojai don’t miss this place!

Great burrito, fresh tasty ingredients and plenty of chicken. Can’t give 5 stars bc they didn’t have carne asada at 5 pm on a friday and charged 50 cents for a salsa even though I bought a burrito and a «super taco». Burrito was great, taco was nothing special. Overall, nice place, and would def recommend for anyone in Ojai who is looking for a good burrito for a surprisingly cheap price. Will def be back when in town again.

Potential but an uphill location. I am a big fan of this place but I just don’t stop anywhere near the location. Unless I am downtown for a concert. No parking.

Ugh, I really wanted to love Ojai Tortilla House but our relationship is off to a bumpy start! Reason being that when my husband & I walked in to try them out(during off peak hours) we weren’t acknowledged in the slightest by any of the four dudes behind the counter. Granted, one of them was ringing up the order of a cute gal in her early 20’s & he had tunnel vision on her. Wouldn’t have killed him to look up & throw a halfhearted nod our way but evidently a couple in their mid-30’s just couldn’t compete w/the babe at the counter ;) The other three guys were more or less talking among themselves & didn’t care to say«hey», «sup?», or even meet our glances. We gave it nearly 10 minutes, then just walked out — didn’t want to trouble them! At some point I would like to actually try their food as it gets such great reviews here, just have to wait until my ego recovers from the aforementioned shun… Maybe I should send a younger hottie in to order for me as my proxy?

This place has great flavors and great service. I highly recommend the chicken burrito spicy version! It used to be Ruben’s and still holds some of the Mojo. I only wish it would go organic then it could get 5 stars.

This place is The New Classic. I have been meaning to check out Ojai Tortilla House for a while now. The Packers had the win sealed up and I was in the mood for a drive and a burrito so I finally arrived. I usually like to keep my reviews descriptive of exactly what to expect, but their menu is pretty clear about it, so come to Ojai Tortilla House to get a burrito with an extremely fresh from the comal burrito-sized flour tortilla, filled with«steak, chicken or al pastor(pork), rice, beans, cilantro, onion, cabbage slaw, salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream». I chose the steak, which was very delicious and amazingly tender, especially considering the price. I don’t know what cut of steak they used, and it isn’t overly seasoned or spiced, but it was very super tender and delicious. I appreciate that they differentiate between salsa(as they have three different choices: green/mild, red/hot and orange-brown/extra-hot) and pico de gallo(which was a fresh mix of very finely chopped yet still chunky tomatoes, onions and chiles). In addition to the freshest tortillas available and the super tender steak, the greatest and most memorable thing about your burrito from Ojai Tortilla House will be the fresh slaw. Although almost every fish taco from Santa Barbara to deep Baja California has fresh thinly chopped cabbage slaw on top of it, I have never had it in a burrito and it really, really works and puts this burrito into must try territory, and given the location, it is worth a 50 mile round trip detour for anyone in the region who wants a nice drive and a delicious burrito. To drink I had the Watermelon Agua Fresca which was very fresh tasting and not extra sweet like many places. As for the service, it was super warm, personal, friendly and even lively if you’re up to it, but given their commitment for quality the staff could be complete assholes as this place would still be a 100% must visit. Thankfully they are still just nice. 5 stars as this place is really on to something special. Certainly a must visit if you are in or near Ojai and want a local, fresh, contemporary yet traditional spin on Mexican food. Even if you aren’t hungry, the tortillas to go are worth the trip.

Get to this spot! Freshly made tortillas which are delicious. Got a veggie burrito with everything and a loaded quesadilla with a watermelon agua fresca. Everything was good and the people we’re super friendly, especially the lady at the register. They have no seating but libbey park is a block away so grab your burrito and enjoy it in the park!

I’d been referred to Ojai Tortilla House by a friend so I stopped in for lunch. This is essentially a nice quality fast food joint — no tables no chairs, though there is a bench out front. Just enough room inside for a customer or two. The menu is simple — three different kinds of products(Burrito, Tacos, Quesadillas). You tell them what you want, what kind of meat you want and what you want on it, and they dish it up right in front of you. I got a chicken burrito and it was good and large sized. Nicely priced and for checking in with Unilocal for the first time I also got a drink thrown in free. I usually prefer a restaurant where I can sit down and eat so I’m not sure how often I’ll visit, but I’d recommend it if you want some good food to go!

It’s a super simple format. Walk in, order at the counter(and watch them make your order) then pay and go. You have to go because they don’t have seating. This place is tiny and it gets crowded if there are even just 2 people in front of you. It’s a no frills whole in the wall taco factory. The menu is simple. Burrito, quesadilla, specialty taco and street tacos. We had to have a taco once we saw walked past the first time. If I lived here I would make it a normal lunch or picnic stop. I got a special taco(beef, pico de gallo, cabbage and guacamole) and it was delicious. My wife had a simple street taco, also great. I can’t wait to get a burrito next time. Sometimes simple is better. I would also recommend this place for catering. It’s super clean.
