Great place, location, people, drinks, scenery — it’s all great and we had a few celeb sightings. Next time I’ll have to try the food. Oh and the entertainment, Kevin James O’Brien, was great!

Fairly new in the area, we’d heard great things about Ojai Valley Inn. Even at $ 65 per person, we thought it would be a great choice for a Thanksgiving buffet, especially since it advertised organic and local offerings. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, but as people poured in, the service started lagging. Plates were cleared off, but silverware was not replenished. The variety of items offered were very limited. The carving station was adequate, but the salmon was dry. We found ourselves trying separate items, then warning off the rest of our party from trying those items. There was a large dessert offering, but the apple pie my daughter tried was frozen in the middle. The buffet wasn’t worth half of what we paid. On top of this, an 18% gratuity was automatically added(we were a party of three), which we demanded to be reduced. We will not be trying Ojai Valley Inn for any other occasions. What a disappointment.

High quality dining but really pricey as you might expect at a resort.

Went to Ojai on V-day. Stopped at the Inn for a drink and snacks since the food we had for lunch was so horrid. We were served promptly and given homemade potato chips(great for drinking with) and the menu was a good upscale bar menu. All the food came out hot and enjoyed by all.

My husband and I wanted to take a friend out to a nice brunch in Ojai and decided on trying the Inn again. The food in the past wasn’t great, but we thought once they completed their renovations that their food would improve. We were wrong. Not only was the food very mediocre, but when my husband ordered off the menu and substituted the bacon(we don’t eat pork) for a couple of extra pancakes, they had the nerve to charge us $ 4 extra dollars for the substitution. The Inn itself is very beautiful and impressive but you can find better food elsewhere.

One of the best brunches I ever had was at the Ojai Valley in in 2001 or so. There were tables of culinary delights, excellent spanish guitar music and breathtaking views(we dined outside). If that had been my only visit, I would have rated it five stars. However, each time I have returned for a meal since it underwent renovations, the meal has been merely average. I hope that the dining at the Ojai Valley Inn returns to its former standards.
