Starbucks

Starbucks biggest issue has always been trying to get a cup of Black Coffee under 10 Minutes! (Without your «Barista» putting his filthy finger inside the cup.
(Seriously Starbucks can you train your Barista’s not to put their fingers in your cup! Duh!!!
Walked in, not Greeted. 3 people behind counter. 4^th Employee walks out of the back room. No hello, be right with you, welcome to Starbucks. blank stare. back to the back room.
7 minutes. no movement in line, (2 people ahead of me), still no greeting, no“be right with you.“
I walked. Minus Zero for this Starbuck. Untrained, unprofessional marginal employees work here.

I have tried and tried again to like this particular Starbucks location. It is the only one in Ojai (where I live), and it is close to my house. However, there are a couple baristas that work at this location that have left a bad taste in my mouth. One of them seems to have a constant attitude. They don’t say «Hi! What can I get you today?» like other locations. Rather, I just get a blank stare while they wait for me to order. If they were more friendly and welcoming, I’d be apt to try it again. However, every time someone convinces me to give it another shot, I am always let down.

I had to write a review tp give this Starbucks a higher rating than i normally would because of one thing. .. . DECAF!!!

Small location but plenty of seating, especially outside, and the staff is quick, accurate, and welcoming. Just stopped here for quick a shot of caffeine and restroom break.

Nice Starbucks, good location, plenty of parking. Staff is quick, no drive thru. Small location, but seems to always have seating available inside and out. This is the only Starbucks in the Ojai area. There are other good places for coffee in the area, but if you’re hooked on Starbucks…

The coffee tastes flavorless and overly roasted. The food is plastic garbage. How the heck do people like this?

While the skinny vanilla latte I ordered tasted great and the cashier was friendly, the service was so incredibly slow! From the time I paid for my drink to the time I received it, I waited with approximately 10 other people for about 10 minutes. The barista moved at a very leisurely pace. Too long for such a low-​volume store! If you plan on stopping in on your way to work, give yourself plenty of extra time. This is a small-​town Starbucks, not a high-​paced location.

Slowest.Starbucks.Ever. Need a hot drink, fast? This is NOT your stop. Full of Beans, almost next door, is fast, and friendly. Often times the Starbucks employees convey, through sloooooow or even surly, service, they just don’t want to be there. And some of them act like it’s the customers’ fault. Odd, as the Mission Statement for Starbucks is …(and I quote) «When we are fully engaged, we connect with, laugh with, and uplift the lives of our customers — even if just for a few moments. Sure, it starts with the promise of a perfectly made beverage, but our work goes far beyond that. It’s really about human connection.»

This Starbucks is small, but fairly new and very clean and tidy. I don’t drink coffee so I don’t stop in that often, but when I do (to buy gift cards, or a hot chocolate or pastry) the staff has always been enthusiastic and helpful.
In the winter they advertise a hot cider drink that’s fantastic, but you can get it any time of the year. Actually, the barista today was telling us today that they’ll make you just about anything — as long as they have the ingredients.
I have a serious sweet tooth, so my favorite pastries here are the rice krispie treats and the cake pops. Their coffee cake and pound cakes are good too. You may have to ask if you want pointers on getting something that isn’t too sweet. I only aim for the VERY rich and sweet desserts so that’s all I know they server. ;)

The only «mainstream» establishment you’ll find before hitting Ojai (the city of mom and pops). It’s ALWAYS crowded, but the employees do a great job handling the crowd. It’s pretty small inside, so finding a table is probably not going to happen.

Cashier was on point but the barista bit*h forgot my java chips. How hard is it to get someone’s coffee right? Apparently very.

Every time I come here with my mom or sister the cashiers are always rude and have poor customer service skills, I understand that they may be having a bad day but this is a customer service job if you don’t like your job then leave. One of the cashiers said that my sister was talking to fast but she wasn’t and was nice towards the end but maybe the cashier is just old and couldn’t keep up. They need to hire friendly people and not miserable ones. I don’t recommend coming here, Go to a local coffee shop then this Starbucks.

I have been given consistently terrible service at this Starbucks. I came on an incredibly slow afternoon with two friends to order a cup of coffee. The two older ladies behind the counter were gabbing about something or other with another customer and looked extremely annoyed that we had come in, seemingly interrupting their very important conversation. After finishing with the customer I asked what type of decaf they could brew and the lady who was not working the register told me they had Pikes. When I asked if they had anything else she said no they only had Pikes. I don’t particularly love that coffee and having worked for Starbucks for several years, I knew that was NOT my only choice but I didn’t really want to argue. So I asked her to please do a pour over for me. She looked incredibly disgusted and informed me that they already had a pot of decaf brewed. Given my experience at Starbucks, and given that it was about two in afternoon, I knew my odds I receiving a fresh cup of coffee were pretty low, and I explained to her that I had received several burnt cups of decaf coffee from this Starbucks, and asked her to please do a pour over cup of coffee for me. At my request she rolled her eyes at me! And then proceeded to make my drink. I then asked the woman at the register if the Pikes coffee was the only decaf coffee I could buy in beans (I did not have my glasses on and could not read the bags behind her). She said yes that was the only one and I said ok, and that I would take a bag and one of my friends behind me said, there are bags of decaf Sumatra up there… so I asked for the Sumatra instead.
The only reason I am giving two stars is that my coffee pour over was not burnt and I enjoyed it. I will not be going back to this location. Stir Crazy is about 40 seconds of driving further.

Came in to order a simple drink, and was greeted by two females whose attention was fixed on one of their other coworker’s, outside. They were laughing at her and mocking her. I stood directly in front of them, waiting to order. When I interrupted their unprofessional shenanigans to order, the older of the pair said with a surly sneer, «I’m training her,» referring to her gossip pal.
Uh, really? You’re a TERRIBLE example of professionalism, dear. If I were your manager, I’d fire you on the spot, and your little «trainee,» too.
I waited for a totally incompetent barista to make my drink and realized, after looking into the faces of the other agitated, irritated customers, that this was going downhill, quickly. I returned to the counter and demanded a refund. The icing? They tried to short me a nickel. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THIS PLACE? MANAGEMENT!?!
I’m not suggesting violence, but maybe a «Grande with whip» is in order, capice faux Italianos?

There’s usually a very friendly vibe here, even if you come with motorcycle gear. The staff seems to be pretty cool with locals as well. Other than that, typical chain coffee franchise but above average service. Thanks!

The consistency here is inconsistency except for where service is concerned. Usually with Starbucks around the country you order a drink and it tastes the same no matter the location. Not here. I never know what they are going to serve even though I always order the same drink. The service is consistently bad though, long waits and rude staff.

Normally I come here most of the time in the night to get a hot chocolate or a good ice tea! Service is ok not that great, the drinks variate! sometimes I feel I get the most amazing hot chocolate I have tasted, other times it feels I’m drinking toilet water with chocolate syrup…

The service is friendly and fast. The problem is they talk very loudly among themselves and appear to be unaware that everyone in café can hear them. Loud inside jokes and trash talking fellow employees who aren’t present isn’t all that professional, or interesting to anyone else within earshot… which is everyone.
Free wifi, great outdoor seating, tasty drinks. Being a native of Ojai, I run into everyone I’ve ever known when I come here. Plenty of regulars. Really, the last thing Ojai needed was yet another coffee shop but the advantage Starbucks has over most smaller shops is A) free wifi, and B) they’re fast. If you need that quick coffee, this is where you’re going to get it.
I prefer to hangout at Full of Beans with their free wifi, but if I need my caffeine fast, I drop into Starbucks.

Every Experience here is a great one — It’s totally out of my way — but who the hell cares! They have breakfast HOT and lunch plates and snack plates — FAR from the ghetto Starbuck of Santa Paula — The Baristas there KNOW my drink — meaning they know the REAL name of it and KNOW how to make it — I don’t mind paying what I pay for it as I LOVE it — I would hate paying that much of is was disgusting! I’ll continue to check in here and LOVE it ! BUT if they DO ME WRONG — be sure I’m writing about it — MY DRINK IN CASE YOU CARE — VENTI CHAI TEA LATTE DIRTY WITH SOY MILK
