I’ve been here a few times and the food was so so good every single time! The loaded tie-​up fries are unreal! The service and atmosphere has been consistently great as well! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

My husband and I weren’t sure we would like this restaurant /​bar thinking it was more geared for the younger set… but we were pleasantly surprised. Thursday night is there special $ 2 sliders… either bar-​b-​q brisket or the pulled pork, wow! Excellent flavor. We will definitely be back. Homemade chips a plus. Try it !

I’ve seen a few iterations of this venue since Bucky’s Lakeside moved next door in 2013. Its changed management and building owners a few times.
This one is by and far the best.
On top of being served a stacked plate of perfectly crispy, delicious cod and complementary sides for the fish fry, I found myself enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The overhead lights are dim which allows for the decorative light sets along the walls to illuminate the place with a holiday flavor.
The staff behind the bar maintains a good presence and keeps a careful eye on the status of your drink which historically wasnt always a gimme. This iteration is far more intuitive and their careful selection of staff shows. Another plus is that quite often the new owners are on site, introducing themselves and making sure they remember your name. I was greeted by name the first moment I walked in the door tonight. That’s exactly the type of hometown feel you want to experience here.
I have complete confidence in the new building owners as they are exactly what this place needed. Clearly they take pride in their work and want to provide a good customer experience. I wish them continued success and hope the local community supports their efforts.

Wow! The food was fantastic and service was much better!
Nachos were very good. Went well with a Red’s Apple and an O’so porter.
Hard call between chips or fries with a sandwich. The wife stayed traditional with a great Mushroom and Swiss burger. This time I had a sandwich that not only had the pulled pork on it but had brisket and bacon on it. I will get this again. I’ve got my feet up and am reminiscing about what great food we had. The BBQ reminds me of some of the great stuff I had in TN.

We stopped in shortly after opening on a Monday (for either a late lunch or early dinner), and not surprisingly the only ones in the place at first. You know how sometimes when that happens the service finds a way to neglect you even though the place is empty? Well, this was NOT our experience. The server/​bartender, Morgan, was great. She didn’t treat us differently when we ordered water to drink and showed up with a Groupon.
We ordered a pretty good sampling of food, and I was overall really happy. There’s a cool section on the menu where you can add a small portion of something to your meal, so we added some wings and tiger shrimp. Both were great, but I especially loved both the buffalo and garlic parm wings. The buff chicken salad was pretty solid, a little different than the online description I read, but good. We also got the brisket plate with fries. Fries don’t usually stand out, but these were great. The brisket sauce had good flavor, but the meat missed the mark a little for me. (I’m serious about my bbq.)
There’s one more thing I just can’t let go. My first impression was the outdoor signage that read «Hipster Gig.» I’m not sure what’s going on here. It was a pretty standard suburban bar. They were playing pop country. The only other patrons were middle-​aged regulars, none of whom wore trucker hats or sported tattoos. Maybe it’s so very anti-​hipster that it’s hipster? Either way, good food.

It looks like this restaurant has new management already from the last time I went there.
My boyfriend ordered a chicken sandwich and he ended up pulling a long hair out of it. The hair was actually holding the sandwich together. The new management offers to make him a new sandwich, and by the time it came 20 minutes later, I was done eating and had to wait for him. My boyfriend picks up the new sandwich, and there is a new long hair sticking to the bottom of the bun. I couldn’t believe it. I showed the manager and she removed the sandwich from the bill, which we didn’t care about because we had a Groupon anyway. The food wasn’t good, it was full of hair, and the establishment is not clean. I don’t recommend going here.

The food is great and the portions are HUGE!!! Great, friendly service! Pier access in summer if u want to stop while out on the boat.
