We stopped in for a quick dinner and it took a long time to choose from the extensive menu. Ahi tuna(redundant) tacos were great and the grilled shrimp and mahi were also very good. I enjoyed the different coleslaw. I was surprised that the place didn’t have more customers for dinner but the service was also very good. I’ll definitely be back to try more on the menu!

Visiting Florida(Oregon Res) we found this place right along highway. I had alligator and lobster tacos; very fresh and yummy. Services was responsive and dinner quickly served. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping; you will be most satisfied and will not burn much time if you are in a hurry.

What a surprising little gem, smack-dab in the middle of Florida! My mother and I stopped here on the way to the East coast of Florida for lunch. Upon walking in, I almost peed my pants. I was looking back at my mother as I opened the door… so the large fake gators on the floor scared the living bejeezus out of me when I turned my head around! So forewarning. there are lifelike gators right as you walk in. The ambiance here is very casual, but I must say they have some amazing décor! It looks like they sourced decorations from multiple artists, providing an eclectic and rustic feeling for the restaurant. The staff were all very nice during our stay. We were seated promptly upon arrival and our drinks arrived in a timely manner. My mother and I ordered the Parmesan & Garlic Wings to share. I also ordered the Crab Cake appetizer and a House Salad with vinaigrette dressing. The salad was dressed perfectly, and I appreciated that they used nice spring greens instead of romaine or iceberg. The crab cakes were good – I didn’t realize that they were fried – still good though! What really won me over were the Parmesan & Garlic Wings. They were absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection. I don’t frequent the middle of the state that often… but would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Best fish tacos ever had Dolphin of course served blackened extra kaboom and baja sauce. Also you catch it they cook it any way you want it fried, blackened, seared or raw. They tell me there getting a sushi bar and live music that would be great

When we come to Okeechobee we always stay at Pier II Resort and make it to Tin Fish at least once, more if possible. Their seafood is the best. Don’t miss the hush puppies and the gator tail. Everything is superb. It’s also great for groups.

Tin Fish was a pleasant surprise. The four tacos we tried: the gator, the mahi, the fish and the shrimp were all to die for. The décor gave you that homey feel that makes the food that much better. Highly recommended.

Absolutely the best restaurant in okeechobee florida! Courtney & Dallas are running a terrific place. The fish is fresh & excellent. We have eaten there 4 times & want to try everything on the menu! Mahi, shrimp any way! Coleslaw & any thing fried! This is the best place. Cold, cold, cold drafts & even JaiAlai IPA! We’ve been staying in the area all winter & have finally found our place!

I had the shrimp basket with cole slaw and French fries. Overall a mediocre meal. The shrimp were lightly breaded and just ok. The slaw had chilli pepper in it and I could not eat it. The fries were those crinkle cut frozen ones. Quick service. Nice décor. Average price. Clean.

Very well done restaurant. The atmosphere was upscale casual. The food was diverse and most was locally sourced. Full bar with a wine list by the bottle or glass. Beer was draft by the glass or pitcher and bottles, some unique selections as well. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. We will definitely be back.

Very good food, and the service was friendly and fast. We had the daily special double shrimp taco plate. We had it on soft corn tortillas, grilled the shrimp and it was sitting on fresh cabbage and had a fresh pico de gallo sauce a special sauce. The tacos were fresh and flavorful. The next time we are okeechobee we will stopping bye.

Ive had the tuna tacos twice now… awesome! I get the tuna raw and it fulfills my sushi cravings in a town with no iapanese food.

The food is tastily prepared but the portions are ientirely too small for the price. The Po’Boy was supposed to come with tomato and lettuce mayo tartar and hot sauce They forgot the tomato and barely enough shrimp to go from one end to the other. More of a jam sandwich. You know where you jam two polices of bread together … The fries were blah and we were never offered ketchup and the slaw is terrible. Sweet vinegar, really? That’s all? No thanks.

Took my family here for a quick lunch. We were in the area and knew my wife wanted seafood. Walking in you quickly notice how new and nice everything is. It’s a good look for okeechobee. Different but familiar. I went with the salmon sandwich but can’t really remember what everyone else got. I will say my bro had a minor complaint about his catfish sandwich. To which the waiter said he’d get him another one and when my bro said not to worry about it. The waiter replied«nah that’s not the way you’re supposed to eat here». That really got my attention and made me glad we had eaten there. We got another sandwich made for us to take home. The service was on point and that really matters these days. They were attentive and pleasant. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. The conch fritters were also good and everyone was happy with their meal. We will definitely return.

Tin Fish would be a good choice for a winter visitor to Okeechobee. The fish and chips are not bad, the coleslaw is not mayo-based, but interesting and nonetheless tasty. Avoid the regular fries. Select the waffle fries, even though they cost extra. The food comes hot. The serving staff is friendly. Shouldn’t take long to get your order. Décor works well for a causal date, a family get-together, or just a nice lunch or dinner. This place used to be the local Five Guys, and we sincerely miss that restaurant. I suppose the patronage was just not high enough to support the place, or perhaps the folks in Okeechobee didn’t want to spend five bucks for a really great burger, preferring McDonald’s or Wendy’s. Tin Fish is not a bad place to go if you crave fish and seafood, but the offerings are limited.

Amazing corn fritters and coleslaw. The sweet potato fries aren’t that great. I think they’re frozen ones instead of fresh. Not worth the $ 2 substitution fee. Been hew repeatedly it’s always great with happy staff. Buy the tin fish T-shirt if u come a lot as every time u wear it in u get a free Tin Fish Beer. Fish always taste fresh and good. Very nice décor too. They have an open kitchen if u like to watch the food get cooked. The coleslaw is fresh with seasoning and vinegar rather than the normal unhealthy mayo version you usually get. And it’s AMAZING!!!

We just moved to Okeechobee and this was the first place we went to eat. We walked in late after their posted hours and asked if they were still seating, the guy(owner?) looked at the clock and said Sure, so we stayed and were seated. I ordered the gator, catfish, and frog legs dinner, my husband ordered the 6 piece fish and chips. The chips were waffle fries and were very tasty, and we both loved our dinners. The frog legs were my favorite and I’ll definitely get them again. It was a lot of food and we had trouble finishing it. The coleslaw was very different but we loved it. It was not a mayo based coleslaw — I think it was vinegar based and tasted sweet/sour. We split a piece of raspberry(?) cheesecake which was just so-so, but maybe it was because we were so full. We really wanted the key lime pie but they were temporarily out. Our service was great, there were only three other tables full. Restrooms were very clean and roomy. We will definitely be back.
