I’ve been to Pure Barre studios all over the country and this one is one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite. I come every time I am in town visiting family. The teachers are so great — the 5 or so that I’ve tried have all been teaching the techniques for years so you are constantly getting form adjustments which I love(and wish other Pure Barre locations would be better about.) Great workout, great Pure Barre studio. Very sincere and friendly teachers with excellent form and always changing workouts.

Great workout and team! I’ve been to Pure Barre’s all over and think this studio does a great job. The staff is very knowledgeable, and I love that they correct my technique during class.

I’ve become a Pure Barre regular over the past year for a variety of reasons. Here are a few of them: 1) Pure Barre is more than just a barre studio. It’s a place where I see friendly faces and meet and make new friends. 2) The instructors are top-notch and friendly. I’ve noticed that they take care to know everyone’s name(new and regular members). Also, they usually take the time to correct form and posture without making it seem awkward. Furthermore, I really appreciate their positive feedback and encouragement during class, especially during particularly challenging barre routines. 3) Pure Barre offers an alternative, yet effective, method to keep me calm, especially during stressful times. 4) The routines are always challenging and never boring. 5) This studio makes it more affordable for students to attend classes. As a graduate student, I’ve been able to attend classes regularly since January 2013 for this reason!

My husband bought me a gift certificate for one month of pure barre! I had heard about it before and was super excited to try it. I loved it! While in the middle of the workout, I found myself thinking«what. am. I. doing?!?» but afterwards you feel amazing! I noticed results in one month. The instructors are really very nice! I never felt out of place. The ONLY reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because I think it’s too expensive. If I had disposable income, I would pay it without a second thought but I don’t. They were nice enough to offer 20% for me to buy another month but it just wasn’t enough for my budget. If you have extra money… and will have it for months on end… go for it! It’s a great workout and nice atmosphere.

I live in Chicago, but work in Lansing M-F. My hotel is in Okemos and this is a fantastic find for a 1 hour workout in the evenings. I feel like I get a good workout each time I come. The girls who work the front desk and teach the classes are super nice and not intimidating at all. Pure Barre has a cooler vibe and nicer studio than the Bar Method studios that I’ve been to in Chicago. The only thing I would change is the carpet — it’s so slippy, even with the grippy socks I bought from the studio. I guess it makes the planks more challenging, but I find it difficult to keep good form because of it.

The class was made up of challenging isometric exercises targeting specific groups, but the class was packed into a small studio with many students so it was very crowded and difficult to maneuver fully through all of the motions. Also, after working all muscle groups to a burning point, I felt the need to stretch much longer than the 5 – 10 seconds they allotted for stretching. I would prefer to do these exercises in the space of a bigger studio or in the comfort of my own home where I could take my time to stretch between exercises.

A fun class! From their web site, pure barre workouts fuse«elements of ballet, pilates and weights». Not too crowded for my first class, and it was free. New client special is $ 100 for 30 day unlimited classes.
