My girlfriend and I sat in this Verizon store with just one acknowledgment of us even being in the store and after more than 40 minutes, we left. The salesman initially told us that he was going to be about 5 or 10 minutes because he was the only one in the store. Fair enough! Hell! I can even wait 15 minutes. I understand the need for one-on-one attention… But this is ridiculous! We waited, and waited, and waited while he assisted another couple add a line! I have lines added with Verizon. It does not take 40 minutes to make a sale like that. I’m always going to be a little bit of a hustler in my heart. I understand the need to upsell. However, this dude took forever. Asking them what Internet service provider they had at home, who is their cable company, asking if their kids have a phone, mentioning how Elementary school students need phones… Christ! During this whole ordeal he could have said to the couple: «Folks, these two ladies have been waiting patiently for a very long time. I’m just going to take five minutes with them and then I’ll be back with you in one minute. Feel free to take a look at the other phones and our other plans and I’ll be happy to answer your questions.» Finally, we left and went to another Verizon store in Holt. Really, if the guy would’ve told the other couple to wait five minutes or at least gave us some sort of acknowledgment while he was waiting for info to be processed, it would’ve been a lot better. He also gave my girlfriend the stink eye when she referred to me as her«significant other»… Way to represent awesomeness Verizon… NOT! EPICFAIL!
