I ate here for lunch with my wife today. We ordered son hummus to start out with. The hummus is homemade everyday and is delicious. I ordered the gyro platter with a side of tobouli. The tobouli is excellent. I prefer a little more tang flavor, however it was delicious as is. The gyro platter has a lot of meat and pita on it. We really enjoyed our meal and were full when we left. We will be eating here again! B the way, the service was very very good.

Went here for the first time today and I was amazed by not only the food, but also the customer service. I’m gluten free due to Celiacs, and asked them what was gluten free, Tony(who I guess is the owner), was so helpful and actually made up this special falafel platter for me. He was super nice and his hospitality is one of the best I’ve seen in OKC. The food was equally amazing. The yellow rice and orange sticky rice was great with the falafel and the sautéed veges were a good side dish. I added some hummus and tzatziki sauce on top of the falafel. Wish I had taken a pic before I ate it, to share it here.

I would call this more of Greek cusine than a Mediterranean restaurant. Good cuts of meats very large portions and a very friendly staff. Having Greek heritage myself, I can always appreciate a little Greek with an American twist. Did I mention that it is also very affordable? Will be back. Check it out!

The Okc best Mediterranean food and the crew over here are so pleasing and warm with everything. Tony and his girl Ziba are the best in Basil, so do the kabab thanks

What a surprise. An authentic Persian restaurant in Oklahoma. I was here on business from Chicago and stopped on a lark. I felt like I was in Isfahan. The staff was very attentive. I will be returning here.

I have been here a total of 6 times & the only complaint I have is they are so wishy washy with whether or not they are serving hot tea. My first time here, they had Chai tea, the 5th time here they had Apple Cinnamon Chai tea, but all other times to include this visit, no hot tea! They keep telling me it’s coming, but for a total bill of $ 9.16 for lunch, I want hot tea! Last time I was here my tea came in a nice teapot on a serving tray(see my pic) & today nothing! I’m sad now!

Absolutely love this restaurant! Their staff is always very friendly. Their gyro sandwich is one of my favorite items. I normally call in my order and they have it all ready for me once I get there. I have called in my order multiple times and they always get my order correct!

I discovered this place only within the past 6 months, but now I predict it will quickly become my fav. Mediterranean food in OKC. It’s THAT good!

The hummus was excellent, service nice. The rice was great… My beef skewer tasted rancid! I might try it again to test this out… maybe!

My family stopped here for dinner before an OCU show. Counter service and the employees were friendly & personal. Highly recommend the eggplant soup, Gyro platter(enough for two), and Gyro sandwich(twice the meat of other places). The Persian iced tea was fresh. Great value for the money. Will be back soon!

The sweet lady that took my order gave me my Baklava right after I ordered, shrugged, and said, «life is too short, have dessert first!» It not only eased the guilt of what was about to happen anyway, but made my day! Five stars for friendly and relatable staff and fresh, delicious food.

Wasn’t too sure what to get for lunch today but I always passed this place when I go out of my office so I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. I had the gyro combo(gyro sandwich with fries) and it was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and the sauce was wonderful. I also bought some baklava(3 for $ 3.50), the walnut and pistachio, also very delicious. I will make it a point to go back there for lunch again, maybe next time get the calamari. Also, the gentleman behind the cash register(I’m assuming was the owner or manager) was very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have a new customer. Thank you again, sir!

Inconsistent lately. The chicken bandari and beef kabobs used to be great, especially for less than 10 bucks. Last 2 orders were pretty dry. Friendly staff, but something has changed…

This place is THE place for yummy Greek food. I have been to the Midwest City location and it was just ok but this OKC location was much better! I went on a Saturday at noon and there was plenty of seating but I have been told if you go during the weekday it’s packed so choose wisely. The menu is pretty large and fairly priced. You can get a gyro al la carte for 4.95 and it’s huge. Their falafel is pretty decent and you can get an order(5 falafel) for 3.95. What impressed me the most were the helpful workers there! After we sat down the girl who took our order delivered our food and refilled our drinks for us. A little while later the manager came over and checked on us. I was shocked. It’s not a sit down restaurant type place but they treated us as if it was. Very cool! Delicious food, friendly, accommodating staff, and a clean environment makes this place a great spot for some quick Greek!

Yummy and very easy on the wallet! We had the garlic hummus, vegetarian platter and chicken gyros that came with fries for only $ 4.95. I couldn’t believe it! Everything was very fresh. I highly recommend!

After getting take-out once a week for the past year or so, I will say that I like Basil quite a bit. I probably wouldn’t put it on a «Must-Do» bucket list for those visiting OKC for the first time, but it’s the best for a local lunch. The first few months they were still working out the kinks and had some slow service, but now they have a good system going. Sometimes I walk in to a long line and they’ll have me come up to the front to go ahead and pick up my phone order. I definitely don’t get service like that anywhere else. Mediterranean is my favorite cuisine and they have a large menu with my favorites: tabouli, stuffed grapeleaves, gyros and falafels. It’s not mind-blowing good, but it is consistently good. Another mediterranean place I frequent in OKC is the more«authentic» experience, but Basil is way more consistent, quick, friendly with more options.

Great food! Super friendly service. My mom and I came here together and Tony(the manager or owner I assume) was so friendly to us. He seems very happy to be working here, I love that. Huge amount of food for $ 9 My mom«mmm’d» throughout eating her rice and my gyro platter was amaze.

I’ve been here twice now and ordered the same thing both times, the vegetarian sampler. I don’t love their hummus but the spanikopita and falafel are really good. You can easily tell by the inside that it used to be a Taco Mayo or something similar because it hasn’t been updated all that much. Both times I’ve been I ordered my food to go and I can’t see myself eating there. The music blaring from the kitchen clashes with the music in the restaurant and just feels uncomfortable. Basil is a-ok but not much beyond that. I will return for that sampler when I’m craving Mediterranean in the area, but I don’t know if I’ll try anything else.
