The food was much better than average for a Greek joint and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is my new favorite gyro stop.

This place is simply wonderful! And while this is not quite my favorite gyro in town, the argument could be made. It is the favorite place for a gyro among my friends. But from my perspective there is so much more to this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Their whole menu is full of flavor and homemade love. From the grilled vegetables to the chicken shwarma, I adore this place. Remember your Keep It Local card! It gets you a free drink. And can you really beat a Triple AAA Cream Soda? If they have some homemade baklava the day you go in, your pocketbook and waistline may not survive. WARNING: once you taste one of these fresh little goodies, you may end up buying them all! Ironically, you may thank me for it.

My wife and I ate here for lunch yesterday and had a great meal. The gyro sandwich had plenty of meat on it. The meat as crispy but not overdone. We also had the hummus appetizer which was very good as well. Next time I come I will be trying the tabouli salad. Prices are reasonable as well. Oh! One last thing. The fries are fresh cut and crispy. Very delicious!!!

Food is okay. pretty typical. Their tzatziki sauce is pretty much the only thing that sets it apart from other places. Each time I go there it takes 20 – 30 minutes to get my food. The décor is odd. like it’s trying to be modern but the seating is really old and ulgy. The drink cooler seems to always be just about empty too. We tried to get to-go gyros and hummus before my bf had to leave for work but by the time we got it he had zero time to eat.

I would actually give this 0 stars! I called in an order to pick up. I ordered a Greek salad with gyro meat & an order of ½ pound of gyro meat(totaling $ 20). They told me it would be ready in about 10 minutes. I show up & they told me they think they only have enough meat left for the salad. That’s okay. I waited 20 minutes after I had called it in then finally, after seeing 3 tables still without food, if it was still going to be a wait. He said yes, another 5 – 10 minutes(which apparently means another 20 at least). I decided to just go to a different gyro place that I knew had better service and was less expensive.

We had a gyro and chicken schwarma along with baba ghanouj(sp? I’ve seen many spellings for this word). Everything was good and flavorful! I would have liked some pickled vegetables on the schwarma but the chicken was very good. We also took some baklava home, it was a little disappointing. It was soggy and seemed to have simple syrup on it instead of honey.

I’m not very experienced with Greek food, but after a visit here, I may have to change that. Ol Gyro is a great little hole in the wall place(though plenty clean and bright inside), with a friendly staff. Their prices are pretty good(though things can add up quick if your eyes are bigger than your stomach), and portions very fair. We were initially worried about being hungry afterward, but had plenty to take home. We ordered the Shwarma sandwich(I admit, partially due to the avengers reference), and the gyro/chicken meat plate, with an appetizer of humus and baklava dessert. In a word: delicious. Every bit was excellent, and high quality. Lots of flavor packed on those plates. I’ll be returning soon to either try a new dish, or just keep enjoying that Shwarma chicken!

An incredibly worthwhile food experience. The chicken kabobs should be deliciously desired and the gyros is fashionably flavored. The staff are pleasant and seem to arrive just at the right moment. I am thoroughly impressed with each visit all-around.

I love this place. I’ve only been a Greek food eatist for about five years now and the options in OKC are somewhat limited. That being said, my tastes are fairly simple when it comes to this particular cuisine. All I really need to know is the chicken tastes fresh and well seasoned and they have the best tzatziki I’ve ever had. My husband speaks very highly of the gyro meat, as well. They’re not reinventing the wheel, but then you don’t really have to when it comes to the classics.

Bright yellow sign. You can’t miss it. This place is clean and family owned. They are very friendly. The service was fast even though they were short– handed. Although, there was no feta cheese you are given lots of meat. I would ask for extra cucumber sauce next time. The fries are crisp and fresh. I just needed more ketchup. You stand at the register to place your order and then you’re given a number to take to whatever table you choose.

This place is kind of hit or miss … and even the hits aren’t particularly high. The hummus … is just not good. Neither are the falafel — which my Mediterranean-loving minions LOVE, and here spit out(somewhat politely) on their plates. The gyros are pretty solid, though, and not terribly expensive. If you’re looking for good food, look elsewhere. If you’re in a bind(say your car has no gas, but you’re OMGHUNGRYNOW), pull in.

I’m giving this place five stars for its category: gyro place in a shopping center near a vapor store. For what it is, it is superb. The menu is robust and the gyro and mixed grill plates are large and delicious. The gyro plate comes with your standard gyro meat, a little Greek salad with romaine lettuce and feta cheese, basmati rice, grilled vegetables, tzatziki, and warm pita bread. Everything was very tasty and much better than what I expected – especially having eaten at Greek House in Norman for most of my college years. The prices here are great and the small staff is friendly. Definitely give this place a shot.

My sister brought me here for lunch because she swears by their authentic Mediterranean food. We ordered the spicy hummus appetizer and it had just enough heat without being overpowering. Her entrée was the falafal pita sandwich and I ordered the gyro plate. They ended up bringing me the wrong order, which I usually wouldn’t be very happy with, but we were limited on time and I love all Mediterranean food so I didn’t mind. They gave me a platter that included stuffed grape leaves, falafel, tabouli, hummus, babaganoush and pita. It was all really great! The pita was warm and fresh and the falafel was also super fresh and yummy. Good prices as well, they just gotta get back on the ball with making sure they bring out the correct orders because other people might not be so forgiving!

Food here was quite yummy, and I can’t quite believe that I’ve passed this place by so many times! The servers are so nice, just very very cool. I got the veggie plate which was generous and awesome. The falafels were savory and pretty perfect, the pita bread was warm, the tabouleh was delish, and hummus and baba g. were good as well. I think this is a great café to stop into when you want good quality, fresh food that is simple, just simply good. I also tasted my friend’s beef and lamb gyro and fries and veggies and all were really good. The only thing that wasn’t exactly my cup of tea was the chicken schwerma because I didn’t really like the cinnamon/cloves hint to it, but I’m not saying it is bad — maybe it is just something you have to give a chance to if you are not expecting it. Oh! And it just has to be mentioned that, they accidentally gave us a wrong plate, which I don’t think we would have noticed because it was all good and we were happily eating, but they exchanged it out anyway, and they even gave us some baklava as an apology, but I was the one who felt bad! Anyways, just goes to show how they really care about their customers.

This place is money! The staff gave off friendly good vibes… I could tell just by the way two patrons were playfully bickering with one of the guys tending to the grill. They probably cater to a handful of regulars, which goes to show you how important customer service means to this establishment!!! The boo and I stopped by for a light dinner. We shared hummus and a gyro combo. The amount of meat that was in the gyro reminded me of Greek House in Norman. It’s a TON of meat!!! The hummus isn’t very salty and is covered with EVOO. Dipping the warm pita in that stuff is bomb. The gentleman who served us our food even said that if we run out of pita, let him know and he’ll bring out some more. Wow! The pita def tastes better warm. Last but not least UM yum, french fries. Crispy and golden. Just the way I like it! Will be coming back for sure!

Very tasty Mediterranean food here! i love their tahini sauce! Walking inside, it seems very quaint and small. Run by 3 generations of a single family, they have wonderful customer service! They even gave me free baklava! The food came out hot and tasted great. The warm pita bread was so soft! Overall highly recommended! Pros: — Fast — Reasonably priced($ 5-$ 8 for dinner) — Amazing quality! — Really tasty gyros — Great service Cons: — none

Stop reading this review and go try Ol’ Gryro NOW!!! Seriously, you’re still reading? Ok here goes: for only $ 7.99, I got chicken shawerma wrapped in pita bread, a side of fries, and soda. Everything tasted delightful! The fries came straight from the deep fryer and extra crispy. Besides the tasty food, Ol’ Gyro has another great thing going for it: EXCELLENT customer service. The guys who work here are very hospitable. They truly appreciate their customers and make sure you know it. I was at the register to pay and asked Mahmood what the pastries in the case were. He immediately pulled them out and let me have a sample. What a guy! I had never had Pistachio Baklava before. It’s an authentic Middle Eastern dessert made with layered, crispy, flaky dough. It was so good and I would suggest trying it if you’ve never had one.

Mediterranean/Arabic food seems to please me just about anywhere but this place is tasty, quick and cheap! My friend and I both ordered the falafel sandwich and french fries. So naturally, a table orders vegetarian food and they bring out a sample of the chicken shawarma. Thankfully my friend is not a vegetarian so he was able to try it because it looked heavenly and he confirmed this notion that I had: delicious indeed. Side note: I’m convinced that the french fries came straight from the back of McDonald’s kitchen. I don’t understand it but I’m pretty certain those are McDonald’s french fries. Can someone just go eat at this place and put my mind at ease? It has really been bothering me. Overall great place and hopefully they will run out of McDonald’s french fries and start making their own.
